   I chose this as a place to take friends for a nice lunch before going to a play. The place is lovely and the waitress was the best. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Three of us got salads with chicken salad as an add on. The chicken salad had no taste or texture at all. - just chicken and dressing. All three left most of it on the plate. I don’t plan to go back.

   Polite staff greeted us and seated us promptly with a short wait (but expected due to being Mother’s Day) before we received service. Plenty of food, great variety. Waffles a bit overcooked. Mimosas were fantastic and first one free for moms! Overall a great experience for our extended family of 10 coming from 4 different directions. Servers were fantastic! Thank you!

   Our reservations were for 8:15 on the Friday that our daughter graduated with her masters degree. Originally our party totaled eight adults but when we arrived we had two additional adults and three small children. The hostess was very kind to make the changes to the seating. Our meals were very good including the children's. We were seated in a dining room where there were few other diners which allowed our group the freedom to be ourselves. The wait staff were prompt and very forgiving of our three wee ones who enjoyed moving around the table visiting each member of our party. The Desmond Hotel's restaurant is a great place to enjoy good food and celebrate happy events.

    The buffet had lots to pick from (breakfast and lunch options, salads, breakfast pastries and desserts), and there were five menu selections from the kitchen included (build your own omelette, pancakes, Belgian waffle, smoked salmon, and eggs Benedict). At $25 per person inclusive of everything but the alcoholic beverages, it was a great value. Our server was attentive but also gave us space to enjoy our time together. We weren’t rushed at all. The ambience was very nice, too. We’ll be back.

    Just wasn’t up to par this time. It Was really a brunch, but I and didn’t care for the lunch/ dinner entrees. Ham and beef fair. Breakfast entrees looked good, but I passed on them, as our reservation was for 2:45. This won’t stop me from coming back, but maybe not for an Easter brunch buffet.

    We were very disappointed in the Easter Buffet. I ordered Eggs Benedict that came on a small dessert plate with a thin, hard english muffin, very little hollandaise and the egg about to slide off the plate. The buffet choices were limited, although the dessert table was extensive. Our server was unavailable although another server in the dining room was able to give us some assistance.     It was Easter Brunch buffet so there was plenty of food. We have dined here before and enjoyed our meals but not this time. The service was wonderful and wait staff was friendly and professional. We enjoyed our mimosas and Bloody Mary. Food selection felt more like diner selections and nothing special. Desserts were super sugary, with one exception, the macarons were fabulous. And Suzy-Jo Donuts!!!! Good call.

    Our 2nd year enjoying Easter Brunch at the hotel. Our party of 13 was well taken care of. Food was hot and delicious. Our server Dottie was so nice and accommodating. Waters always filled, plenty of coffee and cocktails. We will be back for more family events. Thank you for making our Easter a wonderful experience!

    Not the best food we have had at The Desmond. Breakfast foods all good but no carvery, just some salmon( allergic to fish) and some very dried up chicken served in tomato sauce. Tasteless and horribly dry and overcooked. Dessert section was small, limited and ordinary. Service always good and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Shame the food was unusually mediocre. That being said I had a birthday voucher so it wasn’t full price. Would still come back again and hope for better.

    We went for Sunday Brunch. The quality of the food was pretty good but not outstanding. The scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage were tasty. The French toast was just okay. I ordered pancakes from the kitchen; they were not very fluffy; kind of flat and dried out. The desserts were tasty. The waitress was lovely; very friendly. I like the Fork & Bottle decor; it is bright and clean looking; a little bit contemporary but in a traditional way. However, the restaurant was a bit noisy for brunch; maybe because there were several large groups (including ours). Overall the brunch was good but I recall it being much better pre-Covid. Not sure I will rush back...
