Went there for dinner and the executive chef was so engaging. The wait staff and bartenders were also a lot of fun. The food was great and they accommodated allergies. We got a mixed of the specials and the standard offerings. They did not disappoint. The drinks were also very good.

Absolutely Fantastic Mediterranean Dining Experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was top-notch. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, the service attentive without being overbearing, and the food—absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The hummus with sun-dried tomatoes and walnuts was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The squid seafood pasta was divine, and the grilled meats were tender and juicy. For dessert, our wonderful waiter Mauricio invited us to walk over to the bakery side of the restaurant, where we were able to choose from a variety of tempting treats. I went with the tiramisu—so good! You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put genuine care into each plate. Another big plus: the restaurant has a large parking lot, which made the visit even more convenient. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mediterranean cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

My wife made reservations at Sofia during our stay in Tamarindo to celebrate my 60th birthday. Upon arrival we were met by Mariana (the Sommelier) and shortly thereafter Mehmet (Executive Chef-General Manager). They were both very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Each took their time walking us through the selections for the evening and answering any questions we had. The food, well, the food is nothing short of spectacular! Simply put, it is sourced from local ingredients and cooked to perfection. We will be back, and I highly recommend it if your travels bring you to Tamarindo..

The food was fantastic. The staff attentive and entertaining. My family had a great time. Can not wait to return to Tamarindo and eat her again. Oh the key lime pie was delicious!

Definitely our best meal in Tamarindo! Wish we found it earlier in our stay—we would have eaten there multiple times. Food is excellent and service was outstanding.

Wonderful dinner. Executive chef greeted us at the door. The entire staff was wonderful and the food was next level. Great meal and ambience. I would highly recommend.

The service was excellent from our waiter. The ambience is very nice and we really enjoyed the belly dancing. The food was good but not excellent and is pricey for what you get .
