   Nine of us joined together for a dining experience at Restaurant Ines, as we were staying at the hotel with an early departure the next day, it made sense to “dine In”. We were seated at a large table in a lovely space, service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food choice, fresh, cooked to order, most of us ordered the fish special and loved it! We ordered desserts to share which were wonderful. The wine list was interesting and we enjoyed a few bottles! All in all A wonderful experience!

   It is an excellent restaurant, although a little bit expensive. They need to improve their wine selection and increase their dessert options.

   Ritz crackers… really? We arrived at 7:15 for dinner for three, No table was set up for three. We were taken on a tour and came down to our table. It took an extraordinary amount of time for water and wine. At 8:15 having had no food, an amuse bouche was brought. Scallop something on a RITZ cracker, for real. We left. The chef didn’t charge for the wine. This restaurant is so understaffed yet there are many ways to handle it, like communicate. Can’t recommend. We just moved. To Quito and eat out frequently. It’s a schlep to the Historico Center. Beautiful hotel and restaurant with no ability to but food on a plate. Ritz crackers 🤓😒

   We came at a unique time for Ecuador as a whole, and Quito specifically. After being allowed in earlier than we planned, we were treated to the loveliest dinner by none other than Chef Juan Carlos himself. We had a lovely conversation with him, and it was especially nice to know that he spent time in my hometown of Queens (and even recommending his former workplace of Alta Calidad in Brooklyn). The cocktails he prepared were delightful (highly recommend the Naranjal if you enjoy a tart drink), the potato soup was lovingly prepared, and you could tell he poured his heart and soul into his grandmother’s dish recipes. His creative approach to dessert astounded us, and the whole experience made us feel right at home. Cannot recommend Chef Juan Carlos highly enough and if you are looking for an intimate and special setting for a dinner in Quito, Ines is the place to be.

   Me gustó mucho la atención de la persona que nos pasó los platos. El señor fue muy amable y me sentí muy cómoda. Por otro lado, la vista del restaurante estuvo espectacular. Realmente fue un momento muy lindo.

    Wonderful food, presentation, service expensive for Quito but huge bargain compared to US where a similar meal would have been twice as expensive. A mistake we made was not contact ahead to order the multi course tasting menu we were really looking wanting. Order a day or two in advance Ps attached hotel also looked great
