They didn't have most of the entrees on the menu. I asked for a champagne brands that was listed an they didn't have it either. Total disaster
Excellent service and food !!
Muy buena experiencia,lo recomiendo .
Excellent food!
we enjoyed our dinner very much especially the quiet ambiance and the food quality. The variety of the menu was appreciated and the accommodation of a special request was no problem. Hope to be back soon and have already recommended Ariel several times.
Anniversary
They were very slow.
Fantastic Sunday Brunch! So the next table was a bit loud? No problem! It’s all fun and fantastic ambience. Willie is a most warm and accommodating captain. The fresh Cod was my personal highlight. You gotta save space for the popcorn ice cream!
Excellent food and service at the level of fine dining experience
EXCELENTE SERVICIO Y BUEN AMBIENTE POR ESO ES UNO DE MIS RESTAURANTES FAVORITOS
Celebrate Birthday - everything delicious . Variety of house specials
Service was slow but food was AMAZING.
Food was great but 4 dishes from the menu were not available and we were there at 6:30 PM. However one dish that was not available was served to the table next to ours just when we were leaving. The waiter let us know that they preorder the dish. So I guess that if you are coming from far away, just like we did, better check what they have available before making the 1 hour drive.
Outstanding as usual. Awesome beef Wellington. Great service. Only concern was no chocolate soufflé available but try the olive oil cake with salted caramel ice cream and it was awesome too.
Absolutely incredible meal from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly.
Ambiente elegante, excelente servicio y una cena exquisita. ¡Volveremos pronto!
No imaginé que en ese lugar fuera donde me iba a comer el peor flan de mi vida. Duro duro y el sabor como viejo. Todo lo demás súper bueno. Pero me encantan los postres y fui por el cheesecake y no había.
Service was good and so was food, the only downside was that they didn't have a lot of the food options that were on the menu.
One of the top restaurants in San Juan. Excellent food, service, and ambiance.
The first thing I noticed when I sat down was how easy it was to hear conversations from other tables. I quickly realized that this was because there was no music playing whatsoever; dead silence except for people's conversations. The valentine's day menu was alright, but way overpriced for what you got. The food was nowhere near as good as other local places like Marmalade but the 4 course meal was much more expensive. I opted to get the wine pairing and the server forgot to bring out my wine with my first dish until after I was done eating it.
As others have mentioned, the decor is dated and it feels like you're stepping back in time 20 years ago. If the food was above average it wouldn't matter as much, but the food just wasn't that impressive.
Overall I was completely underwhelmed, especially for the price. I will not be returning and would recommend others to choose one of the many better dining options in the San Juan area.
My partner and I loved their brunch. The quality and taste of the food were incredible, everything on the menu looked nice and creative. The service was friendly and in the best disposition to help us enjoy our time.
Lastly, Ariel is the first restaurant we’ve been to lately that are *really* enforcing capacity restrictions due to covid. We felt safe and enjoyed our visit. We are looking forward to visiting for dinner time.
Excellent!
Superb all around! Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, the service was not the best. Overall, it was ok. The food was good but the actual place needs to be remodeled if they want to continue competing with other restaurants within the general area. Meanwhile, they need to replace the carpet ASAP.
We were disappointed in our dining experience at Restaurante' Ariel. Here's why:
- The food is mediocre.
- The ambiance isn't great, especially for a date night. Think bright lights, weird carpet, dirty upholstery on the chairs, etc. I think my grandparents might like the vibe, but it's definitely not ideal for younger folks.
- It's overpriced. We're happy to pay a premium for good food and drinks, but Ariel simply isn't good value for money. There are plenty of restaurants in PR that combine good ambiance and delicious food.
On a positive note: the staff was very friendly and the pumpkin soup was delicious!
Overall, we likely won't be back.
Consistently outstanding!
Average dining experience. Nive room, attentive service, "good, but not great food." Nothing to write home about, price a little on the high side so value...not so much.
Unfortunately, too many people. Different for other experiences in that restaurant before. Limited menu, no bread or anything while you wait for your food. One table guests were extremely loud.
I made a reservation for four to celebrate an important moment. Yet, when we got to the restaurant it was closed.
We had the set menu for New Year’s Eve. It was completely delicious. The service was excellent, and the wine list had a lot to offer. We would love to go back to try the standard menu.
Simply EXTRAORDINARY. Loved the succulent food, even though for the day it was a fixed four course dinner, the service and the ambiance were just perfect for the four of us. My daughter had an appetite for something out of the menu and they were able to accommodate her taste. WE WILL BE BACK many times. Thank you, Ariel.
Great food, the best fried chicken anywhere. Good experience except for the annoying and obnoxious person in the next table playing their smart phone loudly with total disregard for the other customers.
Servicio EXCELENTE. Nos atendió Mateo Miguel. Comida (brunch) riquísima, ostras, y el plato con el pastrami curado por 28 días.
Delightful! The food was exquisite and the service superb!
Felt rushed, they forgot to bring us our appetizer, at 7:45pm they were out of many menu items, they have lots of employees on the floor but you always need to raise your hand to get their attention.
Excellent variety, quality and service! We always return and are once again surprised by its authenticity and charm.
Wonderful food. So many options making it difficult to choose from. Beautiful Steak Tartare and Beef Wellington. Absolutely worth another visit
Restaurant Ariel is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in all of San Juan. If not my absolute favorite! You have to get the Gnocchi w/ Escargot, the Seafood PotPie, and my all time favorite their Fried Chicken. It is definitely the best fried chicken! I do want you to know that the whole fried chicken order with 4 sides is enough for 4 people. Especially if you want an appetizer and dessert! I highly recommend you give it a try!
