We got there and our Opentable reservation was a suprise as ALL the tables had a reserved sign on them. Waitress had to go and consult to see if they could sit us... from there everything was rushed. Not a great experience!

Welcoming and smiling staff. There probably is a better option than menus on a wall blackboard. Why would they not be on an easel?

Food was good overall. Seating was a bit cramped. One general tao poutine with chicken that was not cooked enough and had to return it.

Waitress was unfriendly; seemed annoyed we didn't speak French. Patio overlooked a parking lot. Menu only available in French on blackboard. We had a drink and left.

Nous n'avons pas aimé les sangrias verde et rouge. Elles étaient décevantes et avec trop d'ingrédients différents. Nous aurions préféré des bases au vin et fruits et moins d'ingrédients divers.

Fish perfectly cooked, good wines by the glass and nice lively atmosphere. Silly idea to have only menu on a blackboard not visible to most diners. Just print a few off , why don’t you?! Couldn’t fault the service.

Food very very good food but way to expensive for what we get .....compared to other restaurera ts good but way to expensive for what we get .....in comparison to other restaurants on the same street ...
The terrace overlooks a parking lot and a train track ....
The music is too loud and always the same 'genre'
Too bad because we were looking forward to trying out this place ..

La nourriture est très bonne, quoique un peu trop salée (calamares et sauce pour le ravioli au homard). La présentation est adéquate, mais pourrait être meilleure. Le gâteau au chocolat était sec. Le prix est dispendieux pour le genre de nourriture et l’ambiance pub. La cuisine est ouverte, donc on peut voir les cuisiniers. Peut-être que les cuisiniers devraient porter un sarreau par-dessus leurs jeans et leurs vêtements. Un cuisinier a porté sa casquette de baseball toute la soirée pendant qu’il préparait les plats. Pas très professionnel.

Noisy, couldn't have conversation over the kitchen ruckus. On-the-wall menu that you can't read from over most tables, you have to get up and disturb people who are eating.
Food was outrageously expensive for very little. Little potion and little originality.
A piece of beef we ordered was more than 3/4 fat, bones and cartilage.
A 26$ sturgeon salad had 5 very thin slices of fish over a mixed salad that comes in a bag.
Our waitress was geat though.

Le service est bon, les tables sont trop près l'une des autres, l'entrée de crevettes Bang bang était très bonne mais nos plats principaux étaient bien mais très coûteux.

First time eating here and it was excellent. Mushroom puree to start, was better than expected. The salmon fillet was perfectly cooked with a nice crust and the vegetables had a lot of flavour.

We had a 2 night getaway and chose Restaurant Taverne 1855 from the menu. The quality of food, flavours and pairings were incredible. Great IPA beer as well. Service was awesome and having the kitchen right behind watching how they work together was part of the ambiance. This was a surprise getaway for my wife and it was the best valentines dinner experience we have ever had.

J'aurais aimé par contre pouvoir choisir dans le menu habituel et non seulement dans le menu spécial de la St-Valentin, le prix étant beaucoup plus élevé que ce que j'avais vu sur votre site internet.
Nous avons quand même passé un bon moment et tout était très bon.

Le fish n chips était vraiment bon. Ma conjointe à rafole des son risotto aux crevettes. Service ok sans plus. Prix assez cher, ce n'est pas un resto économique. 7$ pour une bouteille d'eau Eska c'est abusif.

Nourriture super bonne! Le service est soso...Le sourire a pris congé on dirait, spécifiquement pour la propriétaire.

Je recommande souvent le restaurant, mais ce point est définitivement à améliorer. On dirait que nous ne sommes pas les bienvenus.

The name came from a colleague
Was not sure st the beginning but when I walked in, I was impressed by the ambiance

I was there for a business diner, I just can’t wait to bring my wife for diner. Nice surprise

Outstanding- chef is creative with local foods. Great flavours and presentations. Everything excellent including extraordinary service by Julia and Guilliame. So good we went back the next night!
