Wir haben unseren Hochzeitstag gefeiert und haben ein etwas herausragendes Essen gesucht. Das Ambiente im Restaurant war schick und vornehm, aber eher alt-ehrwürdig als modern, was ja auch seinen Reiz hat. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, hat jede Frage (auch Nachbartische) sehr kompetent beantwortet, z.B. zum Wein oder den verschiedenen Gerichten und hat geduldig unser 4 Gänge Menü entgegen genommen ohne sich etwas aufzuschreiben. Der Wein und auch die Speisen kamen recht zügig ohne Wartezeiten, obwohl mehrere Tische gleichzeitig bestellt hatten. Das Essen selbst hat jede Erwartung übertroffen! Sehr schön angerichtet, geschmacklich super, nicht zu fade oder überwürzt, sehr nuanciert und auch von den Portionen sehr gut gemacht. Wir waren super zufrieden und können das Restaurant nur empfehlen - allerdings natürlich nicht für den kleinen Geldbeutel oder jeden Tag, das ist aber auch nicht der Anspruch, denke ich.

Located in the garden of the weinromantik hotel Had the sparking rose from Germany. Wine was surprisingly decent. The amouse of bread with a herring with curry mayo and sea weed was abit of an odd combination. The curry mayo over powered the herring! Had the cold dish of peach and bottle milk which basically was slices of peach with a deep-fried buttermilk prawn, this was a very odd dish because it was serve cold as to be expected but the combination of bottom-up right prawn and slice of peach with the sweetness of the soup just did not combine well. The tomato consommé was good- good intense taste of tomato with a Ravioli. The mains of surf and turn was a medium filet with one piece of prawns. The meat could have been more rare. The accompaniment was good. The game ragu of what I would have guessed as venison was ok, a bit more gamey and dry. Should have not been cooked for that long. It came in a Pinot noir sauce which was nice and fried potato dumplings which was disk shaped and turnips. We decided to Skip desert as by that time it was already 10pm, having started at 8pm. Service was friendly and attentive but you could see they were under staff as they were flying up and down the stairs!

Wir nehmen Ihr Feedback zu den anderen Gerichten sehr ernst und werden es nutzen, um unser Menü weiter zu verfeinern. Es tut uns leid, dass einige der Geschmackskombinationen nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen haben. Besonders bedauern wir, dass das Filet nicht wie gewünscht zubereitet war und das Wildragout nicht die erhoffte Konsistenz hatte. Wir werden unser Küchenteam darauf hinweisen, um solche Unannehmlichkeiten in Zukunft zu vermeiden. Auch das Thema Personal haben wir im Blick und arbeiten daran. Very nice and friendly staff! There was a technical glitch in the system and it didn’t show our reservation. Despite that the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was amazing and the price was very reasonable. We also got a bottle of their signature champagne for the troubles. Definitely will be back to this amazing restaurant.
