Everything was amazing! Restaurant had great ambiance. Food was fantastic. Wait staff went above and beyond. Best service we have ever had.
The Bouillabaisse was outstanding. The crab beignets were kind of doughy, and the tartare was meh. The fancy bourbon cocktail was fun, and the chocolate dessert was delicious.
Everything was wonderful. I couldn’t have had a better experience.
Wonderful accommodating service. Staff was attentive without being intrusive. I plan to go back and try other menu items.
Amazing food ! Great drink selection! And even better service
Sadly they seem to really be struggling. We were here a few years ago and had one of the finest dining experiences ever. The wheels seem to have really come off. Most of the food was very good but my duck was cooked to leather. It was so tough that couldn’t saw through it with a Laguiole knife. All of our courses prior to the entrees were brought out and dropped off at the same time. The crab beignets, Wagu beef and carpaccio were excellent.
The linen tablecloths are gone and they set the silverware on the dirty table. Our drinks went dry for close to 30 minutes. My wife’s second martini was so bad she couldn’t even drink it. They poured vodka straight into a glass and threw in a couple olives. Our most anticipated return dining experience turned out to be a very disappointing $350 anniversary dinner for two. I hope and pray that they can get this restaurant back to the exceptional dining experience that we once had.
We went to celebrate me finishing my PhD! Our server was fantastic, the food was exquisite, and the cocktails were phenomenal. R’evolution is our go-to, and it’s always wonderful!
This was a fantastic meal and the waitstaff was exceptional. Met the chef and was highly impressed with all the food. Can’t wait to come back.
Great meal. Deshaun, our server was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. He thanked us for choosing to dine with him when he know how many choices we had. He shared some of the history of the chefs and restaurant and was a lot of fun. He was very knowledgeable about the menu items as well. We come to Nola often and don’t always find restaurants we would repeat - this is definitely one we will return to!
Phenomenal …. One our best meals in recent memory! Diverse menu, top notch service, great cocktails and top tier presentation. You should not pass a chance to eat here when in NOLA.
Fantastic food, warm service and a beautiful place. An outstanding experience!
Food was fabulous. Rory is the absolute best server We always request him. Also our first time with Tina and she, too, was terrific. This restaurant is our favorite in a town of great restaurants.
We ate here about 6 years or so ago, had wonderful memories and we were excited to come back. Now it's just an average place, service was not bad it was just ordinary. Food was not at the same level as the past visit. We chose to eat here again because of the dress code and the fact that it felt like a cut above the rest but now it feels like any other place in town. Our chance to have a high-end upscale experience. People showed up in jeans and others in shorts. Wait staff were working multiple tables and they did a good job but the attention to detail and special treatment wasn't there. I don't think it's a staffing problem because in a place that charges what they charge people can do very well on tips (yes we left 20%) We eat in N.O. very often and there are plenty of other places with better food for less money with the same service. I hope this might just be a pandemic issue but I didn't get that feeling.
In one word: Unbelievable.
This place got really good reviews from multiple sources, so we were excited to try it. Other than the blue crab appetizer, the food was uninspired and bland. WAY overpriced for what you are getting. Many other much better restaurants out there for your money.
Venison was perfect, scallops melt in your mouth.
Amuse bouche of sweet potato was a delight to start with. Wait staff is extremely attentive, from chef to servers. Waiters Isaac and Daniel managed our table. They were wonderful. Crab Beignets were underwhelming. Entrees were a mixed bag. Venison was delicious with jaeger sauce and spaetzle. House specialty Lobster gnudi failed to impress with tiny morsels of lobster and way too many gnudi. Sauce was okay but only flavoring that stood out was vanilla. Dessert of chocolate gateaux was impressive presentation wise and flavor wise. Loved the crackerjack take to make the dessert fun. We were also presented with two little dessert bites of a spice cake and a brownie. Did not get to witness the dessert drawer we have heard of from other reviews, but this may be because we ordered a dessert.
The food and service were amazing! My husband and I loved everything. Tina and Travis were our servers and they were fantastic. We will definitely dine here again.
From the time we walked up to the door to enter until we walked out to go back to our hotel, the experience was top notch. Our waiters Isaac & Daniel delivered top service. The food was superb and the drinks delicious. Highly recommend dining here. It is worth the cost!
Really good appetizers! Amazing fish entree and even more amazing chocolate gateau! Servers are really nice and even split our appetizers for us! Super happy with everything!! Get the chocolate gateau!!
Wonderful dinner. Even better service. We will be back!
Reasonable food, pricey, with very uneven service.
We arrived on a Sunday evening at 6:15 as a party of 2 and were promptly and professionally seated. We had asked for a "quiet table" and Hostess explained that it would be relatively quiet until full house of guests arrived ~7:00. She was right on and for most of our dinner we enjoyed a quieter atmosphere. I had high hopes. I had planned for a smaller dinner that night with perhaps an appetizer and shared entree with a glass of wine.
Our waiter provided menus and almost immediately wanted to get things going. We were in no rush and continued our conversation casually. Waiter seemed anxious to get things moving. I commented to my wife that I felt that we were being pressured to speed things up, perhaps buy that expensive bottle of wine and/or get out of the way so other bigger spenders could be ushered in.
Later my wife asked a question about a menu item, which had a typo and read "Cajun caviar butter" (no comma separating "caviar" and "butter"). She is sensitive to over-spiciness and asked how hot that item would be. Waiter proceeded to lecture her in a somewhat demeaning manner about the meaning of "Cajun" how that was more about culture and not spiciness. It was not appropriate, and not a way to connect with a guest. Cajun caviar was brought out later and has nothing to do with "butter" or spiciness... After our food arrived, our waiter disappeared and seemingly turned over the table to assistant waiter.
We enjoyed the food that we ordered, price was as high as we expected. Though the assistant waiter was quite good at taking care of our water, bread and other table needs, our overall experience was disappointing.
There are a lot of choices for high end restaurants and Southern Louisiana cuisine in New Orleans and in particular in and around the French Quarter. Would not recommend this one to a friend based on our experience and will try something with more potential next time.
The total experience was amazing! Great service, very friendly and polite. The food and atmosphere was equally amazing. Worth the price and plan to go back someday.
Great job woohoo
The meal was INCREDIBLE!!!! A must visit on you trip to NOLA. You will not be disappointed.
Awesome food and service!! Thanks team Tina!
The service was thru the roof, food was outstanding!
The appetizers and main courses were absolutely wonderful. I especially liked the venison. The wait staff managed to find a wine that my wife really enjoyed (something I am rarely able to do).
The desert, some creme brule concoction, spoiled a great meal. It had a very strongly flavored bacon (not in a good way) that was in the desert. The flavor lingered and was all we could taste for the next hour or so. I do not recommend.
Food was unbelievable! Definitely get the Death by Gumbo
Great meal , menu comprehensive .
Service from Rory and Cierra was fantastic
The food and service was amazing
The dishes we ordered were a mix of very good and disappointing. We started with a shared Iberico antipasti course which was very good. I moved on to the blue crab beignets with 4 remoulade sauces. The four sauces were greats but I didn't;t detect any crab meat in the beignets. My wife ordered the lobster gnudi; the lobster was good, but the vanilla sauce was over powering, and the ricotta dumplings were chewy. I finished with the signature quail triptych, which was very good. My wife enjoyed the seared tuna and foie. We encountered some problems with the red wine I requested: the wine was listed but not available, but these things happen, and the somm offered us a much more expensive wine, from the same vintage and winery, at the price of the wine we initially ordered, and that was a generous way to resolve the problem. (The white wine we ordered was available and quite nice.)
Very creative food, different, tasty, unusual and very good!
R'evolution proved to be a beautiful dining experience. The food was exquisitely plated and delicious. The service was outstanding. From the moment you walk into the restaurant until the moment you leave, you are treated with such care. I can't wait to go back. 10/10 would recommend!
I was very disappointed that several of the items they had online that we wanted to try were not on the actual menu. They did not have the tomato mozzarella salad, the shrimp risotto or the crab pasta dish. We were really looking forward to those and disappointed that they were not available. Also, the service was disappointing for the class of restaurant it was. We had to pour our own wine throughout the dinner and staff was not very attentive. Also, we thought for style of attire for many customers was lacking. Some had T-shirts and shorts on and when the website says jacket preferred this should be shorts and T-shirts.
Celebrated our anniversary and they went out of their way to make it special. The food and service were excellent. Thank you!
From someone who doesn’t fill out reviews often, this was one of the most amazing restaurant experiences we have had since the pandemic started. The team made the dining experience one of the top five I’ve ever had. Nicholas and Travis were one of the most amazing service teams one can ask for. The meal was incredible ( get the tartare and Chef Austin’s pork belly!) and the way Nick made us feel with his wonderful conversation, attention to detail, and tour of the restaurant was spectacular. We were celebrating an upcoming move away from New Orleans and this was the absolute perfect way to say goodbye to this amazing city. We will definitely be dining here again no question about it.
Table of 4 all ordered different entrees and shared appetizers. Everyone was thrilled with selections.
kitchen not in sync w/ servers. timing on all courses and drinks were off. disappointing for this caliber of restaurant. food was good but not worth price point given the above
Wonderful service, great food and a very pleasant atmosphere
