Very expensive but worth the price. Had an amazing birthday date here. Death by gumbo is also a must!
The food was wonderful and everyone there was very helpful with the detailed wine lists.
Great ambience and service but appalling food, the starter, gazpacho was inedible, tomato salad no better than a fast food outlet salad, main course of gulf fish well cooked but over salted, dessert was claggy bread pudding, all in all a terrible meal.
Nothing was “great” and most things were just ok. Combine that with the price tag & this was not a good night.
Absolutely impeccable service. A foodie gem. The tasting menu is second to none. The scallop and foie gras was unbelievable, as was the smoked squash gazpacho. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for great inventive food just off Bourbon Street.
Great restaurant for date night, family dinners and birthdays!! If you are in New Orleans a must try!
First rate experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any one going to NOLA.
Amazing! Had the restaurant week specials - 4 courses for about $50, plus a little extra for the crab beignets. What they don't tell you is that you also get these add on goodies like an amuse bouche, 3 kinds of bread with 3 kinds of butter/oil, or a jewelry box full of little cookies and desserts even though I had just eaten a whole creme brulee bread pudding dessert. The fish turine was soooo good, never had anything like it and I always order seafood at restaurants!
The staff was so polite and attentive. I really enjoyed my dinner and will come back if I'm ever in New Orleans again.
Amazing service and one of the best meals I’ve had! I’ll definitely be back when I’m in New Orleans again!
This was our first visit, and we'll most definitely be back. We had reservations and arrived 10 minutes early, but were seated immediately. Service from our group of 3 servers was great. They were all attentive, personable, yet did not disturb or interrupt our evening out. Presentation for all dishes was beautiful! And all of this would be for naught if the food didn't taste good. We weren't disappointed, and are looking forward to visiting again and trying new dishes. The filet mignon was off the charts yummy, and the turtle soup, too. If we were reviewing a movie we'd go with the two thumbs up!
My favorite NOLA restaurant!! Been here several times and the food, service (Travis especially) are all top notch!! Every time we visit it is a must!
It was our first experience with R'evolution and very pleasant. We had the Jazz Brunch, the servers were very attentive and pleasant and well informed. The menu was creative and the dishes delicious and the jazz combo made for a great Sunday brunch. We look forward to returning.
Best dinner of our entire trip! This place is amazing and the food is so creative, well thought out and perfectly prepared. Will definitely be heading here again - get the triptych of quail!!
The foood was delicious. I was confused about the 7 course meal. I asked one of the servers if that was for 2 people and he said yes. But they charged us for 2 separate things but other then that it was GREAT.
Restaurant Revolution is our absolute favorite! The atmosphere is perfect and the food is the best around! The customer service is unbeatable. Brian is AMAZING!
The entire experience was fabulous. The food was amazing. The waitstaff were all incredible, attentive and friendly. I can't think of enough words to truly say how enjoyable the entire evening was. We started with a drink at the bar, then had a fabulous meal from appetizers to dessert followed by the cutest box that had sweet treats in it. It felt like getting a present at the end of the meal. We left only to return an hour later to have a glass of port at the bar . . . . this will be a regular stop on our visits to New Orleans. Thanks!
Food was very good and great service!
Amazing service and amazing food - would strongly recommend.
One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. I love just eating at the bar when i am alone or with a friend, you always meet cool people eating at the bar. This time me and my wife was seated at a table at the service is 100% professional. One of the their chefs Rebecca even visited our table to talk to us. Bartender was spot on with his pour! We had seafood gumbo & raw oysters to get started. Then had a ribeye steak and followed by desert. I go to NOLA often and this is a must go to restaurant.
I've been meaning to go to this place since I first saw the menu back in 2016. It did not disappoint, in fact it far surpassed our expectations. We actually skipped entrees because we got so caught up in appetizers, a wonderful salumi board, and the Death by Gumbo and turtle soup. This is NOLA fine dining the way I remember it from when I was a kid.
Took my wife there for her birthday and from the moment we got there staff was wonderful. The food was excellent, the staff was attentive and pleasant and the cocktails were perfect. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a great meal.
I am on vacation and a friend who has dined here before recommended this restaurant with the caveat that I should only go if I was prepared for a higher cost meal. I opted to go all in and selected the tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was pricey but worth every penny. The staff were amazing but attentive. They didn’t make me feel weird for being a solo diner and allowed me to fully enjoy every bite and sip. The atmosphere and decor are charmingly New Orleans . I highly recommend this spot.
I had a fabulous experience at Restaurant R'evolution! The Death by Gumbo and the Triptych of Quail were delicious. The very popular crab beignets were the only dish that was just OK in my opinion, but I'm not too disappointed because all of the quail dishes were outstanding.
What made dinner extra special was our main server, Kevin. I've eaten at many fine dining restaurants, and the service Kevin provided was within the top 2 of the best service I've ever received at any restaurant. He was friendly and gave my friend and I some great recommendations for local places to visit. He picked my wine and paired it very well with the food.
Wonderful service and food!!
Beautiful presentation!! Had reservations and seated right away .
Took our mom and aunt there for their first New Orleans visit. It did not disappoint!
Death by Gumbo - mistake. A whole stuffed quail has no business in a bowl of soup. No other ingredients appeared in this gumbo.
Swordfish- skimpy piece of fish that had to be less than an 1 inch thick served with charred, inedible vegetables.
The real embarrassment for the restaurant was its presentation of Iberico ham for $40. Plate was a collection of 20 tiny scraps of meat that looked like they had been scraped off the bone of the ham. Kitchen had no idea what it was doing with the meat and had no business putting it in front of a customer. Pathetic. When we shared our disappointment with the server, response was, “What do you want me to do about it?”
There are so many other amazing dining experiences in this city so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
I always enjoy my meals here! This was the 1st time I was able to go with my husband and son. Travis was our server and he kept it lively all night! A true NOLA gem!
Labor Day weekend gateway
Awesome experience! Food was superb and service was extraordinary!
Best birthday dinner with view of Royal Sonesta courtyard where my husband and I exchanged our vows. Very romantic to celebrate my birthday. Wait staff was amazing and food was delicious!
We had a great meal and great service & atmosphere.
Amazing food and service. Everything was wonderful.
Everything was amazing. We were here for my husband’s birthday. Our kids (13 and 17) loved everything as well. Special mention to the crab beignet appetizer and the bowl of cold melon dessert. Highly recommend this place!
Had another wonderful dinner at Restaurant R’evolution. We went right when they opened and ended up getting a tour of the whole kitchen, back wine cellars and chefs office! Food and cocktails were perfectly made as always. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and mixed with the fantastic service really gives it great ambiance. We did the Coolinary menu this time which did not disappoint. The boudin stuffed shrimp and gazpacho were my favorites. My husband still stands by his statement saying they have the best gumbo in town!
The service was great. We were a little worried about dress attire. But when we got there there people in jeans wearing sneakers. It was casual as a pose to jacket preferred. The food was great but I was it expecting it to be exceptional. Overall we had a great night. If we had to do it again I would look somewhere else.
Best meal in NOLA beginning to end!
One of the best restaurants in all aspects I have been to.
Great experience and I would recommend it to anyone as well as return myself
Wonderful service, excellent food. I would go back anytime. The only downside is it is expensive, but worth it
Attractive decor. Pleasant server but he didn’t place the order for our appetizer so our oyster dinner salads arrived before our appetizer. Server apologized and said that they were on him. Crab Beignets with four different sauces were great. Long wait for bill. Salads were $15 on menu but were $18 on bill and the begneits were on the bill. Server apologized and said that he would be right back . Told us that price if salad went up effective the day that we were there. We suggested that they print the new menu if they were going to charge a higher price. We tipped him well even though our experience was not excellent. Disappointed because we have always heard great reviews. John Folse needs to know about the charges not reflecting the new prices.
