Generally good. Certainly not a big city feel nor acted as such. A bit on the expensive side for a rural restaurant but it attempts to live up to French standards and didn't quite make it imo. No cheese plate. A little more catering service would have been nice.

Our meal was excellent but there was a problem with one meal which wasn’t served for at least 10 minutes after the others. Our waitress should have informed us, but did not until we flagged her and asked. Once all were served, everything was delicious.

Excellent French cuisine! The atmosphere made it even more special. Our table ordered duck, pork, sole, and beef- we shared some of it around the table and it was outstanding.

Loved it! An absolute treat!! The food is truly divine. The setting is warm and cozy. Great wine list and the staff is friendly and informative.

Our service was AWFUL. We will not return to the restaurant. Our party of four paid $250.00 - in my opinion we should not have had to chase the waiter for drinks, bread, sugar, etc. when we asked for sugar for our coffee the waiter brings a tiny glass cup that offered only Splenda. And the waiter - as always - disappeared. When I had to send back my creme brûlée i was so angry. I brought two guests as we both were celebrating our wedding anniversaries. It was a terrible experience. I wanted to discuss this with an owner or the chef but my husband felt it was just better to leave and not return.

Wow! This was our first time experience for dining at Restaurant Pomme. What a treasure this restaurant is! We had just come from a holiday event and loved the festive and beautiful decor which was also very warm and inviting. Our group of 4 loves good food and wine so we were in for a culinary treat. The wine list was extensive and since we all ordered such different items, we ordered wine by the glass and we were all happy with our choices. We ordered appetizers ranging from escargot with pernod (lovely) to their yummy Autumn salad with figs, apples, walnuts, blue cheese . Our main courses ranged from scallops with a wonderful cream sauce, Cote de Boeuf Bourguignonne with a rich, multi layered mix of amazing flavors and filet de sole meuniere, light and wonderfully accented with lemon. The desserts were equally delectable!

When the chief came out after the meal we gave him a rave unlike any we have given before. We all want to find another reason to eat at Restaurant Pomme in Gordonsville very soon.

A very scenic drive from Charlottesville, rt 22, to Gordonsville, set the stage for a cozy lunch on a cloudy chilly day in this darling town. Our server, David, was personable and professional. He manned all the lunch tables with great ease. Pomme was not busy when we arrived at noon, however, by the time we left it was filling up. The creamy turkey vegetable soup was perfect as was the French onion enjoyed by my husband. My quiche and my husband Autumn salad each were very good. We did not have dessert. Our meal was relaxed with perfect time between courses. Will look forward go another afternoon in Gordonsville and Pomme.

We drive for Pomme--and it is a 70 minute drive each way--and it is worth it. The owner is our preferred server--we have had a couple of disappoints (rushed mostly) when it is not her, but the food is to-die-for. Sunday Brunch is our favorite and they can accommodate our favorite table. If I had one point to ask for--the owner should take her manners to the other servers, who are very loyal, but have a habit of pulling plates a little too fast and--for some reason--not asking for dessert, when, after all, dessert is the entire point of the meal. Pomme remains a favorite.
