Masterchef Eoghain ONeill delivers a fresh take on comfort food and transports the astute diner to a worldly culinary journey.

We have three dining sections to cater to various appetites. Our lounge offers both tapas and brasserie food with a wide selection of cocktails, beers and wines. Our main dining has brasserie food with French classics and Italian favorites. Our upstairs Tasting Room has a bay view and is open to all guests by reservation and first come, first serve basis and is a great space for special functions and business dinners.

Four our tasting menus, we invite the entire table to choose between a six-course tasting menu or a surprise nine-course tasting menu specially curated by Chef O’Neill for a sui generis culinary experience. Wine-pairing optional.

Reservations are highly recommended.

    A friend in Grants Pass told us about Restaurant O. While visiting Coos Bay, we made a reservation. The service was outstanding, and the food sublime. The halibut was about the best I've ever had. Most entrees are served with two sides; we picked salads, sauteed veggies, and bok choy. All were excellent. For dessert, we chose the tiramisu trio, and the strawberry cheesecake with strawberry sorbet. Presentation was stunning, and they were not overly sweet (a very good thing). We sat near the kitchen, and while it was interesting watching dishes being prepared, it was a bit noisy with the kitchen music and the banter between chefs' cooks. We'll solve that next time by requesting another table. On the whole, it is incredible that such a restaurant exists in Coos Bay, OR (It has a Michelin star rating!) I highly recommend!

    Very nice fine dining restaurant in Coos Bay. Greeted and seated promptly. Our server Katie was delightful and very attentive. Our meal started with a complimentary Amuse-bouche. We both had French Onion Soup to start and it was very good. My husband had Lobster and asparagus risotto and I had fettuccini with chicken. Both were very well prepared, good size portions and very tasty! We would definitely go there again!

    We were only table for first part of our visit. Server seemed surprised and a bit snippy when we asked for plates after we started receiving tapas (we both wanted to taste each item ordered) - had to call him over to make request as he hadn't checked on us. Server offered to make substitutions to ingredients in beverages (due to dietary requirements after major surgery), but he was a bit dismissive when further questions posed. Not a warm and fuzzy and welcoming experience, felt like one of the tables in his shift. Food at Restaurant O is always beautifully presented, but flavor not up to as high a level. Prices for happy hour items were appreciated. Room decor exemplary, but noise level deafening - even with just a few tables. My husband is a retired Sound Engineer, so I get that all the hard surfaces (walls, ceiling, floor) are the issue, but there are many methods available that could be employed to dampen sound.

    We enjoy eating at nice restaurants and try to compare the best ones to each other. This was an absolutely fantastic find in Coos Bay, Oregon. While not cheap the nine course surprise tasting menu, with wine pairing, of course, was extraordinary. The Chef even walked around to discuss some of his courses. Strongly recommend this place.

    I’m in Coos Bay almost monthly and make a point to eat at Restaurant O. The food is fresh and extremely tasty and beautifully presented on the plate. This place could compete in any city. The residents of this relatively small town are very fortunate to have a restaurant of this quality. The full bar and extensive wine list are an added bonus!

    The food was delicious! The service was excellent! Shayla was attentive, not obtrusive, and always ready to answer our questions even though she had multiple other patrons to also care for. We were left to move at our own pace, and never felt rushed. This is fine dining and we will return!

    This place is amazing and the quality of the food and its presentation is perfect. They also have a lengthy wine list that is reasonably priced and you can get wine by the glass. If you are a foodie you need to try this place
