Restaurant O is a wonderful asset to Coos Bay. Chef O puts his special style on all offerings, so everyone gets to try something beautifully prepared and presented, whether they chose the tasting menu or order off the regular menu. Coos Bay can be proud that they have attracted such talent. We are sure that Restaurant O will draw discerning diners from across the region and beyond. The restaurant buys locally and features excellent examples of Pacific Northwest cuisine. We return home feeling well and usually have learned or seen something new and inspiring.

I have told everyone about this place. Everything about it was outstanding. It was nice to have food that was prepared and delivered in a timely manner. the staff was great always attentive but not pushy or hoovering. The food was a delight My wife and I have not had food that refreshing in years. Very happy to have this place in the community. Will be going back very soon.

We were happily surprised experiencing a wonderful meal in Coos Bay. We shared 4 different plates plus dessert. The crab salad and avocado moose and lemon aioli was fabulous on the complimentary and never ending focaccia bread. Without asking, the chef happily accommodated us by splitting our Caesar salad into two bowls and adding an additional poached egg on the second half. Knowing we were also sharing fettuccine Alfredo, it too was split into two bowls and both topped with 3 deliciously cooked shrimp; yum, just the right amount of garlic. Cocktails were great. Service was excellent and shared thoughts on what to try. Complimentary chef dishes and the final complimentary shot of pineapple vodka made this a spot we are planning on revisiting on our January trip.

Our recent, and first, dining experience was for my Birthday dinner. It was superb! I easily made our resevation on line, we were greeted by name, and the change in our party number was handled seemlessly. The menu was uncomplicated and elegant. The questions we did have were answered with great enthusiasm and pride from our Hostess. She was polite and prompt.
The meal was superb!
We each selected different items and eagerly and happily shared tastes. The presentstion of each course was beautiful.
Gold leaf on my Risotto Entree...WOW! I had read some reviews critiquing the portions but we all left perfectly satisfied and even had a "take home" box.
It was a great way to celebrate a birthday but we look forward to coming for Tuesday night dinner, Tapas @ Happy Hour, and just a great meal.
Thank you Chef et al!

Restaurant O is perfect for a special occasion dinner. Their prices are higher than the Coos County usual, but the experience of trying their inventive treats between courses is well worth the expense.

Best fine dining restaurant we've found on the southern Oregon Coast. We've traveled up and down the coast and tried most of the fine dining establishments (there are not that many), and found Restaurant O to be our favorite. Their food is delicious, beautifully presented, and the service is excellent. We also love the decor, and found the price to be reasonable given the quality of the food, service and ambience.

The restaurant has only been open since December 2017 and still undiscovered judging by the ease of getting a reservation.

My wife and I had heard good things about this new restaurant in Coos Bay, and were looking for a nice place to celebrate Mother’s Day. Our first time experience surpassed our expectations in all aspects (food, service, ambience). We have been to many good restaurants up and down the south Coast of Oregon, and for us this place is the best.

Restaurant O and staff provide an excellent fine dining experience. We chose and shared shared our way through seven menu items, continuity provided by an attentive wait staff and a robust Italian red. Artistic attention is paid to the look of each dish, aromas are true to the ingredients, portions are moderate, designed for a refined and wandering, mature taste journey. This is not quantity for the iron man runner, but reward for the experienced diner. it is a solid addition to coastal dining, a notch up from current offerings, more like a special night once provided by Christophe and Paula, very French, suffuciently Italian, a little bit of warmth from Trinidad, Irish like Beckett, waiting exotically for the next moment with the past still blooming with unfinished memories.

Restaurant O .... a bright, welcome addition to the Southern Oregon Coast....

Our party of four celebrates and dines together throughout the year and so over time we have enjoyed tasty cousine from many of the local favorites.

Restaurant O is a cut above! Upscale; yet, in a down to earth way. The updated decor creates an atmosphere that is both relaxing and provides the perfect back-drop for their offerings.

Our experience was exceptional from the first sip of our custom cocktails & microbrew IPA’s through the last bite of our yummy, exotic desserts! The appetizers and entrees were more than pleasing to the eye, innovative, and sooo delicious!

The service was spot on .... just the right amount of attentiveness & at the appropriate times. Chief O’Neill was also able to stop by and say hi and check on us as well.

A perfect evening .....

We had never been to this restaurant and thought we would try it with some friends. It was very nice, food was great, service was excellent, and the food presentation was beautiful. We would definitely go back.
The owner/chef came to our table and introduced himself to us and even took us to the kitchen to show us how he made the pasta.
So our overall experience was wonderful and we will be going back!

I had hope for this restaurant. Coos could certainly use some fine dining. But RestaurantO doesn’t quite achieve its goals. We will try again in a month or two. Maybe when the owner/chef returns from vacation things will get better, but the one thing you must have for fine dining is exceptional food.

I had the trio of beef, so it wasn’t just one less then prime cut. All three were unexceptional. My wife had the duck and okay there was no spice or sauce at all. Just a bland duck breast.

I admit the calimari was pretty good, but the lobster bisque was watery and bland.

The wait staff was a high point but could not save the evening. The decor was pleasant and for this area different and pleasant. The view of the kitchen hints at the possibilities for an upscale restaurant. But it all fell down from the delivery of the complementary oyster and ?juice shooter.

However, the atmosphere was great, food was very good and they did an excellent job of taking care of large number of customers. I will try it again in a few weeks when it will be a normal setting.

Finest dining in Coos County. Chef Eugene is clearly putting it all on the line in this novel culinary gambit. The diversity of the menu and the elegant presentation make you feel like you are in San Francisco or Paris. But when you taste the home made pasta you know you are in a different league. Whoa! Flavors were exquisite and the service (Rachel) very appropriate and attentive. We will definitely be back. So nice to see cooking from scratch at world class quality arrive in our community.

Get a big city luxury dining experience in a small town for half the price. Compared to fine dining meals I’ve had in Vegas and Seattle this compares well. Only thing I’d say is once the upstairs is complete you’ll be able to escape large noisy tables in a separate dining space.

Dinner for 2 with plenty of food was $140. Worth it for the level of dining. I look forward to my next visit.

The restaurant is stunning: the decor, the unique coastal artwork by local artists, and the state of the art kitchen, in full view of the dining crowd. Most importantly, the food was amazing unlike anything else locally, and probably rare even in Portland. Each plate is a work of art, whether an appetizer, entree or dessert.
The wine list is substantial, but we each decided on the reasonably priced house wines. There is a full service bar, where one can dine as well.
We had the calamari appetizer, and my wife had sea scallops served with a black risotto, fresh veggies and subtle sauces. I had fresh sturgeon steamed in a small bag with potatoes, carrots and more. We can heartily recommend both. For dessert we each had the trio of tiramisu.
Overall we were delighted. The food was superb and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. We are fortunate to have this restaurant in our little coastal town and we are sure many will travel from out of the area to dine here.
