Mathew has had a passion for food since a very young age. Inspired by Marco Pierre White, he is well known and respected in the industry, having worked at Lakehouse (Daylesford), Qualia (Hamilton island), Stokehouse (Melbourne) and most recently opening Matt Moran’s, Little Big House (Brisbane). His exciting seasonal menus feature cutting edge dishes to complement each of Sirromet’s unique dining experiences.
Also onsite at Sirromet Winery, visitors can enjoy wine tastings, winery tours, casual dining at 3 onsite restaurants, accommodation and a year-round calendar of entertainment.
The service was excellent. Some of the dishes were absolutely perfect, but the spaghetti was overly sweet.
I enjoyed dinner and drove back for breakfast the next day.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The waitresses were welcoming and very efficient and made the day enjoyable. The food was exceptional and it was a very nice change to not be rushed. The dishes appeared at just the right time. Definitely will return.

The venue and ambience takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city with time just floating by. The food was extremely nice however slightly on the expensive side, but when taken into account with the great time we had there I didn't resent paying. I would recommend Restaurant Lurleen to anyone but make sure to set aside some time to enjoy the full grounds which you will not regret.
Some of our party had seafood and that was perfect. Others had steaks which were rather tasteless so value for money was not good for those. It was a special event for our party so a little disappointing.
Great food and service, we have been before and that’s why we came back.
The night wasn’t very busy so we didn’t have to wait very long for each course.
We mentioned to the female waiter that it was our wedding anniversary and our dessert came out with “Happy Anniversary” piped in chocolate on the plate, which I thought was a very nice personal touch. Well done! We will definitely be back again!

Everything about this place is perfect
A farewell dinner for our son visiting from the UK. Food was excellent - two of us had the scallops and Moreton Bay bugs starter and it was fabulous, as was the beetroot vegetarian starter. All of our mains were exceptional and the creme brûlée was superb. The only slight downside was that the cake dessert was a little dry. Service was outstanding and our waitress was really excellent.
This was the best meal I have had... It was exquisite. Congratulations to the Chef and staff at Lurleens and to Terry Morris for this impressive restaurant.
Fabulous restaurant environment in the beautiful Sirromet winery's main building with great views over the countryside. The food was innovative & of a very high quality. The suckling pig main was divine as was the smoked venison & pork cheek & octopus entrees. A bottle of Museum Sirromet cabernet shiraz topped it off brilliantly. Will definitely be back.
The venue is perfect, the food is amazing but the staff should listen when taking orders and when charging items to the bill.
The food is always superb. The service can often be amiss, especially when you are paying such a high price for food it is important to receive a high standard of service.
It was very noisy on this occasion with people (diners) yelling etc
We’ve been before about 18 months ago and it was fantastic. Had lunch for my birthday yesterday and at this stage would not go back again.
Kids meals were great.

2 pieces of duck meat with what looked like cannelloni beans...meat nice but just ok beans not nice..$45.
Scallops (couldn’t find them) with 2 small Moreton bay bug meat (couldn’t taste any meat) dumplings $27 in broth which was average.
Tasting platter was nice and perhaps at $24 was the best value of the day.
$230 (including house wine) very expensive day for a very average dining experience.
Last time we went to Tuscan Terrace we also noticed a big difference in the standard of food as well.
Once was a favourite to go with all the family to Sirromet given how lovely the grounds are and the staff always seem nice but until the food is back to the standards of the last executive chef we won’t be back for meals again.
It was very disappointing for what we paid, service was perfunctual, food was average but location was good.
I don't intend on sounding scathing, the food and service were fine.
This restaurant has nailed the balance in that there was nothing wrong with any part of our meals they just weren't amazing or delicious or something we will think about again - next time we will try their cafe.

Scallop entre was way too small. Flavours were there tho. Eye fillet main was dry especially with no sauce . Overall was disappointed. We eat at the courthouse a fair bit and we both rated there good a lot better than yours . Sorry but just being honest.
Our Daughter’s 18th Birthday family Dinner could not have been celebrated in a more beautiful, classy, inviting venue than Restaurant Lurleen’s. Warm friendly staff, delicious food (even catering for gf df) and several Happy 18ths to our Birthday girl made for a wonderful family event. Compliments to the chefs and staff :)
We had a fabulous and lovely time. The table by the verandah was perfect for the ocasion. The service was excellent and the food was truly delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our special lunch at Lurleen’s.
We had a table of eight for lunch. We all felt that the menu did not offer a lot of choice. The men on the table found their meals to be too small and all meals except the steak meal, were overpriced. Not good value for money. We have eaten here previously but not for a lunch. Overall, a bit disappointed.
We had a belated Mother’s Day and birthday dinner, food was just amazing! Chantel was excellent, you couldn’t fault her service at all, just the right amount of attentive and generous with her time.
We will definitely be back, such a treat!
We were there on a very quiet night in fact all by ourselves so we had a quiet noise level and were spoilt by the staff

We used to love the food there and give high recommendation to friends & family for years. But from the last visit the food didn't wow us anymore, average & nothing special anymore. The online menu was not updated either. My husband planned to have AA-CO cube roll Wagyu as on the online menu, but unfortunately it wasn't on the card menu. Staff told us it has been change for months, but they didn't update the online menu. It's disappointed for fine dining like Lurleen restaurant level has outdated menu.
Our 40th anniversary- food was delicious but the waitress had to be reminded about something regarding our order in two occasions. She was lovely but obviously busy.

Food is really tastey but not good value for money.
For example scallop entre for $27.00 had only 3 scallops.
Desert advertised as 'share' for $27.00 was a single bowl of delicious pudding, but not enough for two.
We did have a nice lunch and Hannah was an excellent waiter.
Great restaurant, amazing food and great service. The only thing I would like to see more of is options for those with dietary requirements ie Vegetarian etc.

Food is very good but expensive for what it is. The background musak is annoying, not what I would expect in that class of restaurant. Service was a bit over attentive but friendly. Overall we would return but I think the menu needs to change more often and to have a better range of meals.
