   The food was very good at this lovely spot on a street lined with restaurants. My husband had steak he deemed fantastic, and we had soups (lobster and leek, respectively) and dessert (blueberry pie that was more like cake) that were wonderful. My main course of penne with smoked salmon was fine, with a delicious light sauce and plenty of salmon, but the pasta itself was ordinary. The service was friendly and leisurely and I was glad not to be rushed, but also glad I wasn't in a hurry to get somewhere. It was a perfect night to eat outside and we had a lovely meal.

   Not the restaurant's fault, but I was directly in front, a few meters from the hostess, and received a parking ticket, even though I had paid and left the receipt on the dash. This was our first time in QC and so were quite dismayed.

   The perfect destination in old Quebec for an amazing meal. The service, the ambience, and most of all the food, were absolutely perfect, and I will plan a trip back to Quebec to get to experience it again.

   The food was exceptional. We had to wait for our food for over an hour. It was totally worth it. I had yellow beet salad and the most delicious sweetbreads with wild mushrooms and risotto. My husband had salmon tartare and lamb, which was excellent as well. The creme brûlée was one of the best we ever had. Even kids devoured their kids Meals of steak and salmon with vegetables, which was miracle by itself. Overall this experience was the most memorable.

   Mid-week anniversary dinner. Food was very! good: sweetbreads; tartare; foie gras; magret de canard. Couldn't stay for dessert as we had to rush off to an evening tour. Service uneven: first waitress clearly hadn't read our resevation notes/requests and seemed not to be receptive to our desires. Second waitress very nice, but didn't bring out the dishes in the requested order (could have been ordering mistake from first waitress), though she was very quick on the turnover. However, we ended up having to flag down a third waitress to get our bill 20 minutes after we asked the second waitress because we would have been late for our tour. Location on "restaurant row" in the city (outside of Old Quebec, but not far at all). I would try it again.
