L'Ô offers to you a simple and generous menu renewed with the seasons and enriched with daily suggestions.
Our breakfast buffet, The Best Bread in the City, offers you a variety of hot and cold items, fresh pastries and a selection of coffees and fresh juices. For lunch and evening meals, we have standard fare and a menu with local and L'Ô specialties.
The bar is an ideal spot to place yourself amidst friends in front of a full glass and to layback after a long day's work. The bar can also propose a variety of simple meals. Visit the home of the L'OTINI! Enjoy our summer terrace, sip a coffee, quaff a beer or enjoy our specialties as you watch Montreal pass by you.
Food is way below my expectation since both my wife and myself have all you can eat breakfast there. I already have low expectation on breakfast since is all-you-can eat, but their food is below that. Their scramble eggs are too watery, sausage are hard, pancakes are cold. The only good thing about their breakfast are their cereal and coffee. Will not come back.
The brunch buffet was very nice, all the foods you would expect plus great omelette sir eggs to order and for only $20 it is a good value!
Fresh Sacchetti here is to die for! I loved it! We also ordered 3 of their wonders and french onion soup... And we also loved them. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Just beware of their portions thou... Their portions are a little as compared to how much they cost. Other than that, it was a great experience dining here.
My wife suggested this place due to reviews she'd read, but I was doubtful. It is attached to a hotel...a nice one mind you.
Nevertheless, the decor was funky & modern with nice ambient and what I would call a quirky layout. Some tables for two, some for four...and these neat banquettes which could be for eating or lounging. A multipurpose spot that really seems to work.
The food, however, was the star! I had scallops with a. Apple glaze for an appetizer while my wife had the shrimp salad with a citrus dressing. Both were spectacular. Original, yet simple flavours done well. Out mains were amazing as well. I had a basmati seafood risotto that was like nothing I'd ever tasted (though the lobster tail was over cooked). My wife had the salmon which had a spice rub on a Israeli couscous and a salsa of sort around it, very good!
Wine list was brief, but very good with reasonable prices for a bottle.
The service was professional and courteous. Which was a welcome surprise considering how young the hostesses & servers seemed.
The only complaint was that it was a bit loud. But, it also doubles as the hotel bar. So I can't knock the place for the wisdom of a restaurant pulling double duty.
Definitely worth a visit.
Always go there before a Habs game (should say it). Great dining experience at a reasonable price. Somewhat gastronomic but not out of the box. Wine list excellent, always find gems thanks to Benjamin passion for it.
I went to this restaurant for Taste Montreal. Before that, I didn't even know that it existed.
The whole evening was perfect. The food was simply amazing and delicious. The service was on point.
I had the chance to peek at their normal menu and it looked pretty decent. I will probably be back to try it on another day.
My brother and I took our parents out for my father's birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality. We expected for it to be above average, but the service, portions and flavouring were quite exceptional. My parents are very picky eaters and they enjoyed their pork ribs a good deal. My brother's lamb over pasta was astronomical in size and taste, and the fish I had was perfectly cooked. We went for Montreal a Table, so the pricing was amazing. Given the quality food we ate, I would be willing to come again on a regular night.
We're usually not fans of hotel restaurants, and were having second thoughts when we found out that it was in the Novotel, but so happy we went in! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, best dinner I've had in a long time. The server was wonderful and the chef totally accomodated my husband's dairy allergy, which is always a plus for us. Will most definately return and recommend.
We had had several expensive meals and needed a cheaper one. This restaurant in the Novotel was a perfect. It is on a busy restaurant street. Lots of high end cars passed. The service and meals were excellent. It was perfect for us to have a patio dinner.
this is a great place for an office lunch. Once the construction is over on the other side of the street it will be a 5 stars experience.
We just rolled into Montreal and was looking for dinner options close to our hotel. (turned out the walk was longer than Google maps anticipated!) This turned out to be a perfect spot to dine in. It wasn't overcrowded, so great for the baby we had in tow. The decor was nice, world cup had their area on big sized TVs, and we didnt feel pressured that we were under-dressed in casual clothes seeing that it was just under Novotel, so we fit right in with other potential hotel guests.
Service staff was very friendly, despite forgetting my wife's Chicken Florentine - making it on the house was a definitely good call, service of which we seldom see nowadays. Everyone was raving about the rack of lamb, almost worth the drive. Dessert a delight!
The service was impeccable and friendly. Loved the trio deal with appetizer, main course, and desert, and coffee. Very good value. I had the soup, the veal, and chocolate mousse with coffee at the end. The only complaint I had was the veal was cooked well done, it was dry and tough. The soup wasn't too spicy and to my liking. The mousse was light and creamy and finishing the meal with coffee was just the right touch. It was a good experience despite the toughness of the meat, I'm willing to visit again with friends!
I had the duck which was very good. Started with the French onion soup and escargot , bother of which were very good. Went for a late lunch, we were the only ones there.
Great suggestions from our server. Tried the Salmon tartar with the filet mignon and a crème fraiche for dessert. Was stuffed! Great portion sizes and nice combination of flavours
This restaurant was very nice. The service was super and the food excellent! Servings were sufficient but not too much. Would recommend this restaurant for a nice dining experience. It's not overly romantic but not bad either.
We went to L'O during Taste MTL and we enjoyed our night. Service was smooth and waiter very nice. The wine suggested was really good. The menu was tasty. We will definitively come back!
The only point would be that the bar and restaurant are not separated and we had a group behind us, it was too noise when you want to enjoy a dinner in couple. I will suggest for next time to book a table close to the Windows or in the other side.
Often when travelling, especially for dance competitions, you can find yourself having to eat in the hotel restaurant, which is usually overpriced with mediocre food. We found Restaurant L'O to be a delightful change to that. The meal that my husband and I had was outstanding and the Open Table price for it was excellent. The service was gracious yet friendly and we enjoyed our whole experience. We look forward to returning to L'O, even if it isn't during the restaurant week, and trying other menu options.
Great food , ambiance and location, really close to the Bell Center. If I go to another show at the Bell Centre, I will be sure to eat at this restaurant. I had the best filet migion ever. Good wine, great ognion soup deserts were also really good and the cofee was perfect.
We had to choose a third choice of wine, before the waitress could bring it to the table..... the appetizers were good, but the main courses fair, to be generous.
On y est allé avec 2 ados pour déjeuner, la formule buffet pour 16$/pers c'était parfait.
Mes collègues et moi avons été très satisfaits de notre repas et de la bonne qualité du vin. Nous reviendrons!
This restaurant proves that hotel restaurants can be real gems. It had delicious food, great service & a nice ambiance. Its furnishings are modern & casual so it is perhaps not the choice for a dress-up occasion but the menu was interesting & varied. We had an exceptional dinner here & also a couple of buffet breakfasts which were also superb.
We were visiting Montreal and went to this restaurant because of the location which was near to our hotel and reviews on Opentable. The main drawback to this place is the lack of other diners. This may be because it is situated within a Novotel? The room, decor, service was fine and the service and food all very good but on a Saturday evening you want more than a handful of guests in a large room.
We went to this restaurant based upon reviews on Open Table and were delighted with our choice. Turns out that we were a bit late as we couldn't find a place to park (welcome to Montreal) but the place was mostly empty, which is a shame because we had a great meal. We don't get good lamb in the midwest, so we both had the rack of lamb. It was terrific - we asked them to hold the thyme as we don't care for that taste, and the chef kindly used a wine sauce instead. Good polonaise potatoes, too. The beers were pricey however - the most we've paid during a week in Canada. Service was nice and the decor is lovely.
Our party of 4 was very well accomodated - our online reservation was easily placed, then modified to add an extra person, and that Tuesday night, we had a choice of either sitting indoors or outside on the patio. Service let us choose our meal and let us feel free for 4 hours! A great time was had by all! Merci!
Cannot recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dinner - we left before being served. A loud television and several families screaming running kids created a terrible atmosphere. We would have stayed for the meal, but no one waited on us for 20 minutes - we drank our water left $5 and went across the street to BIS restaurant for a fantastic meal.
Great lunch! Food was on time, location is super near to our office, and we were served by a very pleasant waiter. Our waiter asked us if there was any special occasion for our lunch - when we quietly mentioned we were celebrating a colleague's promotion, the restaurant prepared a very pretty & delicious dessert dish!
A lovely well executed meal served by a true professional. A standout in hotel dining.
The restaurant L'O was very accomodating - I reserved for 8 people originally, and because of the ease of online reservations, I was able to change my reservations quickly. The service and waiter & waitress on Friday, Feb 10th were nice, pleasant, brought our food on time, and made a surprise birthday cake for one of our party members! The music was at a low volume, which was great for chatting, and we were not disturbed at all by the other guests. We stayed for 4 hours, and will definately go back!
Excellent place for original food preparation, taste and enjoyable evening! service is excellent, ambiance is cozy and intimate. Private area are quiet and romantic, and opem space for group create a lounge atmosphere.
Great spot, always go there before a Habs game!
Contruction work made it noisy and not as clean as one would rightly expect. The staff didn't seem to care.
Great food, great ambiance, great view (we had a window table)I would go to this restaurant everytime I have to go to the Bell Center.
Some items on the menu were good and others fairly good. The prices are reasonable.
We had a very good dinner. Every meal was quite tasty and well presented. Our waitress was excellent, she was very personable but not overbearing. The outside dining room was great and the weather was perfect the evening we went.
Went here for Sunday brunch and the place was empty. Outside seating was nice. The French onion soup and the seafood risotto were very good. Service was excellent.
