Great authentic regional Chinese food from China! Would definitely go again.
We went there last Saturday with friends and I have to say we were blown away by the menu and the outstanding dishes. The service was fast and friendly and we all left very happy. We will definitely come again.
Excellent Jiangnan (east China) style food. Busy restaurant with prompt service after short wait for table. Yuxiang qiezi (Fish flavour aubergine) recommended.
My son (aged 10) are on a food journey with the intention of visiting Central London once a month and trying out different and new restaurants based on other diners reviews. Restaurant He certainly didn’t disappoint and we asked for recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed our food and service experience. This is a gem of a find. The squirrel fish in particular was exquisite.
Ordered a selection of the specialities and it did not disappoint. The fish was quite spectacular and the duck was so moorish. Even a plate of veg had something in that was probably imported from China.
Little neighbourhood restaurant in the middle of a busy commercial street, warm welcome and cheerful service, unusual menu from a different part of China with some intriguing choices and ingredients (Yam Ice Cream for instance), reasonably comprehensive wine and beer list at sensible prices, overall costs are very moderate, whole ambience is cheerful and happy and no hassle to leave tables before you're ready.....excellent place!
Well cooked food with reasonable choice of vegetarian options. Staff were friendly and helpful.
This place had some amazing food. Seriously. I expect to see them in a food critics raving review sometime soon. What a gem in such an unassuming space.
Unusual Chinese cuisine which we've never tried before called Huaiyang, from east central China. Absolutely delicious, and different in style to the Cantonese food I'm used to. Very relaxed (in a good way!) and friendly staff, attentively filled up our tea bowls when passing, so the tea was always hot and never stewed. Casual, buzzy atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend going there for a Chinese meal which is "different".
Restaurant He' has much to recommend it, excellent and attentive service, fresh and original flavours, tasty and apparently authentic. I would have given them a higher star rating but believe they use MSG which has an adverse effect on me. I'm not sure if it is possible to have them make food without it.
Great Chinese food, cooked so well. They don’t have many vegetarian options, but the things they have are excellent.
The service was also brilliant. The staff were warm and friendly. They noticed that I had booked for a date night and asked about it. Also good value for money. I would definitely recommend.
Really authentic Chinese Jiangnan food of great value. Very similar to what I used to have in China. 100% will come back multiple times and recommend to my friends.
