Amazing food and service! One of the best restaurants I tried in all Montreal. The menu is a good balance between western and Asian food, I loved it! The food came out quickly, savoury, warm and delicious! If you go there, try their churros dessert! Mocktails are excellent, not too sweet. The service was great, waiters, and waitresses were very helpful, always smiling, and quick to answer you. The decor is also one of a kind. I'll come back for sure. Thank you, Gon Bui team, I had a blast!

Absolutely amazing food! Loved my experience at Gon Bui. The only slightly negative point I would bring up is the type of music played (top 100) and how loud it was played. I would have personally preferred a more “diner ambiance” type of music and a lower volume.

Fantastic service and food. They were able to adapt a drink for my daughter and explain to us how to eat some plats. They are really oriented on the customer and their amazing flavors. Definitely a place to visit again.

The restarting is very nice and the staff is very friendly . At the start of our meal the power went out at no fault of their own and they quickly came around to let us know what was going on. And then came around to offer everyone a little complimentary shooter . There was a good flow to the service but once all our food came staff wasn’t always accessible . I wanted to order an additional drink but it was hard to get the staffs attention. And it did get Very loud at a certain point . The food was tasty and I’d go back but not for an evening where I want to catch up with friends and chat!

6 year anniversary! Our server was nice and accomodating! We don’t remember his name but he had really cool nails. Paying the bill via their website online was easy and convenient but felt kind of weird as we left after paying and without saying goodbye to the staff. Thank you!!

There’s only one dish that I personally did not like but the waiter was nice enough to remove it from my tab without me asking! The drinks are super good and goes with ambiance. I loved the interior decor and the music!!! Food was good time. Cool portions to share with another person. I would definitely come back for a 5-8 with friends

Seems like the restaurant is designed to distract you from how poor the quality of food is. Decor is nice, the music is on full blast and it’s dark. Dishes “decorated” with iceberg lettuce and thickly sliced tomatoes that hid 90% of an empty plate. It was the kind of food you would expect from a fast food place you got to between classes at best. Might even be worse.

This was our second time at Gon Bui and we loved it as much as the first. Its a really pretty space with great music, and a wonderful staff. Shout out to our waiter Henry, who remembered us from our previous visit. He makes the experience friendly, and makes you feel at home. We recommend the papaya salad, fried rice and the Forbidden Temple as a cocktail.
