Restaurant was shut down due to legal issue. Came to the restaurant only to find a sign on the door that it had been shut down. Disappointed the restaurant didn't bother to call its patrons already had appointment set up. Will never come here again
We actually never got to try the restaurant, although we made a reservation, it was not open. Since it was a long drive for us, one star.
I made a reservation for brunch thru OpenTable to meet a friend we hadn't seen in some time. This was a favorite restaurant but they when we arrived on Sunday, it was closed.Google says it's closed permanently. So sad to see this closed.
I could not tell you much about this restaurant. We arrived and it was closed. I think Opentable needs to update the restaurant operation times. Pretty disappointed that they let us book the reservation and it was closed.
This restaurant is closed! Do not book reservations.
Restaurant was closed down
Resteraunt is permanently closed yet OpenTable allows for reservations. Nothing like getting dropped off for a dinner date on a Friday night to find out that the restaurant is permanently closed...
Excellent as usual and Never disappointing. You can always depend on this place.
I'm very happy to have found a great brunch place that takes reservations. The Bloody Mary's were great, as were the collard greens. Biscuits weren't great but everything else was pretty good.
We had made a reservation for Sunday at 10:00 am. We were the first group in the door and right of the bat they seemed to be inconvenienced that we had children with us. We actually had to grab the high chairs ourselves. They proceeded to seat us at the only table in the restaurant that was getting blasted by the morning sun - and of course they don't have any window shades. Other than the fried chicken and waffles, the food was mediocre and took forever.
Our group was clearly made up of several different couples, but the waitress made no attempt to split the checks or make it easy for us.
Lovely little find near Washington Park. We were impressed by the service, but the food was what we really thought knocked it out of the park. Very good for very reasonable prices. We will be back! This whole area on Pearl Street was hopping with energy. Looks like other potential good restaurants nearby.
The wait staff was exceptional. Except the hostess that kept looking at me and coughing which made me feel very uncomfortable! I felt as though she didn't want me there!
My waiter was a great guy and very helpful. The bartender also bent over backwards to keep us both happy so I thought the wait staff was amazing overall.
Overall the experience was good. Having lived in New Orleans for years I thought the food was good. My girlfriend ordered the fried chicken and was not able to find gravy which troubled her. I do understand the menu didn't lend itself to gravy but it would have been nice!
I will go back sometime to try other things on the menu.
Kid friendly! Great food, great service. Fantastic atmosphere and music.
This was our first time for dinner and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Recommendations made for dinner/appetizer choices were fantastic. We loved the atmosphere and plan to go back with friends again.
That reuben sandwich was the best I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back for it.
However, it was freezing in there.
Great place to get together with friends. All portions are big enough to share!
Chicken and waffles were perfect
Tasty food, nice birthday dinner for the hubby
Celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful dinner, love the excellent service...
If you're craving comfort food in a nice but casual atmosphere, fourteen seventy two is the ticket. We had the smoked chile relleno appetizer and it was outstanding. Our fried chicken and meatloaf entrees were excellent as well. Be sure to come with a big appetite, portions are generous!
Food as always cooked and prepared to perfection, healthy portion sizes. Paired with appetizers and drinks enough to satisfy and some leftovers to enjoy at home.
one of our favorites - flavorful and creative honest cooking (NOT a chain) / you simply have to try their shrimp and grits!!!!
The food was absolutely astounding and the service impeccable!
Had a lovely meal, great service and loved being able to eat outside.
Food was great and bottomless brunch cocktails were spot on. Service was okay but the patio makes up for it.
Perfect place for brunch!
The ribs were good; the service was not great. We mentioned twice (once in the res, once at the table) that it was a birthday, but nothing special was done.
very nice. I don't know why it has to be 50 characters. I think very nice says it all.
Not as good as the last time. We sat on the patio which was great to people watch. However, it was extremely dark and we couldn't even see our food, least of all attempt to cut it. We finally took our plates inside, cut it up and then returned to our seats. This design flaw needs to be corrected.
I really liked 1472. The food was amazing and our server, Jordan, couldn't have been more attentive and knowledgeable.
They are really trying an their staff is great. It's just not completely pulled together. We are picky about our food. We did see lots of families from the neighborhood which is a great sign. The waiter recommended a table away from the speakers. ( We're 65+ so we greatly appreciated this!)
Very interesting menu based on Southern style cooking. Service was excellent. Parking remains a major problem in the area, but opted for the valet service which worked out OK.
The food was good but not great. The patio was nice. The service was very slow.I think there was only one person working.
Sunday brunch was excellent.Proximity to the Farmers Market was a little annoying. Parking was difficult due to all the activity.
Had dinner here the following day, quiet and outdoor patio was much appreciated.
Good was ok but was served only luke warmish. Service was lousy and it wasn't even busy.
It was good . The food was great, the pace was relaxed, the service was fine. From the menu we chose fried chicken, shrimp grits and mahi mahi as well as crab beignets for appetizer.
I got a salad and added shrimp for $9 but there were only 3 shrimp. It was a rip off. Won't be going again.
The She Crab Soup was delicious! I would recommend trying that, but everything else was great as well!
Service was poor. No lighting. Mac and cheese was delicious!
Their gluten free menu options for brunch are pretty limited but they were really kind and accommodating anyway!! Jamie was our server and she was fantastic. Great brunch spot, especially outdoors in the summer during the farmers market!
