At restaurant darcy twelve, we use fresh ingredients from local Connemara suppliers. Our menu offers both contemporary and traditional dishes with a carefully selected wine list to complement every flavour.

Located in the centre of the vibrant and picturesque coastal town of Clifden in Connemara, the restaurant is run by head chef Shane Regan and his family.
Originally from Co. Roscommon, Shane opened restaurant darcy twelve in 2017. Growing up in a family hospitality business, he has always had a passion for food and loves cooking and experimenting with new dishes. Shane visits restaurants at home and around the world, taking inspiration from some of the best chefs of all cultures and cuisines.

Having studied culinary arts, Shane trained in Neven Maguire’s MacNean House and Restaurant in Co. Cavan and worked in Restaurante Casa do Lago, Portugal and Daniel Clifford’s Midsummer House in Cambridge, UK.

As always food was excellent. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the whole experience. From the moment you walk in the door everyone is so pleasant and helpful. Can’t wait to be back again.

Fantastic night on our first time here. My wife is celiac and had plenty options available to her that are gluten free or could be made gluten free. All the staff very friendly and helpful.

We ate in restaurant darcy twelve last night. Immediately we all felt welcomed. The staff were so, so helpful and so friendly. Great front of house . The place was busy and had a really lovely atmosphere. The food was just amazing. We had Fish and Chips and Thai Chicken curry . You can choose either chunky or skinny fries . We had chunky chips- amazing . We both had sticky toffee pudding for desert. So tasty. I would definitely recommend a visit here and we will definitely be back.

What a fabulous meal! The mussels were the tastiest thing I had eaten in so long, I also had the fish pie special which was divine. My husband had chicken wings and the fish and chips and we both agreed it was easy to see why this was a busy place- excellent food, brilliant unobtrusive service and a warm atmosphere. Definitely worth a trip
