Beatrice is one of just four B-Corp Certified restaurants in the US. Operations make considerations for the environment, all people, and our community. We are the first commercial partner for Restorative Farms in S. Dallas, an urban farm that provides organic produce. Nearly everything is scratch-made, from andouille sausage to citrus stock used in drinks.

Bon Amis and Louisiana Transplants, The Louisiana Tourism Association is coming to Dallas, and they have brought a team of chefs to cook for North Texas for just one night: Wednesday, October 25. The food can't get any more authentic with three Cajun/Creole chefs in our restaurant. Chef Holly has developed a special menu just for this evening. So excited to try Restaurant Beatrice as I have a Louisiana connection. Interesting menu with many choices. My husband had the blackened trout which was the special and I had the Jambalaya Atchafalaya. We split the fig salad and a slice of Dreamsicle cake. The food was fine although I wasn’t expecting the chicken to be a thigh and leg on top of the rice. The trout was good. Especially good was the salad—-dressing was perfect, and the cake. Things to improve on: wait until the entree is finished before bringing the dessert menu—-i understand the praline bread pudding takes some time to prepare, but that can be accomplished by letting diners know this earlier in the meal—-likewise, please wait until dessert is finished before bringing the check, and, while the bread basket is interesting, the dinner rolls weren’t as good as the biscuits or hush puppies. All-in-all, a nice time. Everyone was very welcoming. The hostess took it upon herself to seat us at a table when our reservation was at the bar—we did appreciate that.

So proud of Terrence Jenkins and his Team. We knew Terrence from Carlton Woods in The Woodlands. We miss him. Our loss is Beatrice Restaurant find. He has built a great Menu and Team. Hard to pick our favorite dish. Oysters, Catch of the Day with Crawfish, Fried Chicken to die for and Bread Pudding to finish off a great experience. My wife is from Houma, La. and loved everything about the evening. Ambiance reminded her of New Orleans. Thank you Terrence Jenkins and Team. Dinning Awards are headed your way. Jim and Wanda Cochran

Cocktails and the shrimp beignet and fried green tomato appetizers were fantastic. My partner enjoyed the fig salad. The chicken and sausage atchafalaya was good but the risotto was just a little dry. However, overall, a very enjoyable meal with good service.

The food was exceptionally good. The gumbo, the red beans and rice with grilled pork chop, and the carrot cake were scrumptious! While I did not like the pineapple margarita mocktail, my husband enjoyed his Uncle Nearest whiskey. Our server was very attentive and friendly, and the music set the mood. We will return.

I've eaten at Restaurant Beatrice a half dozen times, and each time it gets better. The food from Chef Terance always wows, our server Diego adeptly steered us to a different wine when the one we wanted was out of stock, and we were visited by both the GM, Romonia, and the owner, Michelle, who all made us feel like we were eating at their home and not a restaurant. I want to make special mention of the host, Andrew. While most hosts are content with merely dropping people off at their tables and walking away, Andrew greeted us warmly, directed us to the perfect table (a cozy booth by the window), filled out water, and was a true delight. When Andrew wasn't doing his hosting duties, he kept busy running food, directing the servers, and strategizing with the GM. Beatrice gets better every time I go. The food, the team, the atmosphere all continue to improve. It's clear why the won so many awards their first year, and I look forward to watching them grow for many many more years.

The food is good. The service is nice. Really overpriced for the experience. They have limited seating and we had to make a reservation just to sit at the bar. Expect to pay at least $150 for two basic entrees, an appetizer, and two drinks. I would prefer Pappadeaux's or Walk On's for Louisiana food.

We have been wanting to eat here for awhile. So glad we were able to get in. Such a great experience. Compact but solid menu. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked and tasted FANTASTIC. I am looking forward to cooler weather and a patio boil!

I wanted to try a new restaurant for my birthday and decided to try Restaurant Beatrice. I ordered the okra fries as an appetizer and just delicious. I ordered the fried catfish that sat on the most delicious grits I’ve ever eaten. For dessert I ordered carrot cake and OMG, that was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. I’m definitely going back. I’m giving this restaurant a 10.

This was my second time to eat at restaurant Beatrice. I love the laid back attitude and clean lines of the layout. The service is attentive. The drinks are good. We had a dozen oysters to begin, they were delicious with 3 different dipping sauces. The menu has just changed so we had a few new choices, but I had the delectable fried chicken, and my companion had the red beans and rice with short rib. I highly recommend Beatrice. Chef Terance is the best.

The service was on point. Ambiance had hints of fine dining. However, the food was quite the disappointment. I've read some great reviews and some not so great about this food, but I wanted to support the business. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre. Extremely grateful for the vegan options. The flavor of the vegan sausage was divine. It appears burnt on the photo, but it has a smoky flavor. So, I am inclined to believe it was smoked. However, it was a bit tough/chewy. It's definitely not worth $26 for the portion. The catfish was fried so hard. When you tapped a fork on the entree, it sounded like a rock. It even looked a bit overcooked. The drinks were cute and presented nicely, but they didn't hit the mark for flavor in our opinion. They also charge you for anything extra you ask for. I just feel as if the waiter should notify the patron beforehand there is a charge for extra sauce, syrup, etc. Overall, just go see for yourself. You may enjoy it.

I grew up in Louisiana and was excited to come to Restaurant Beatrice. The service and ambiance was great! My only complaint is for the gumbo, there was a small crab partially submerged and it was brought with a cracker tool. I had to pick it up out of gumbo and get hands covered in it to try and get a little crab meat. When my jambalaya came out, same thing but this time it was a leg of smoked chicken with the bone, so had to spend five minutes getting meat off it before I could eat. I eat out so I don’t have to work for my food or get my hands dirty. Again, maybe it’s just me but this did dampen the experience a bit. The taste was good and the carrot cake huge and outstanding!

This is a beautiful quaint restaurant that serves quality food. The service was very good. Our waiter Jay provided great service. We had fried chicken and waffles, green tomatoes, gumbo yaya, the breakfast sandwich - everything was very good! I’ll be back. You should check it out too!

The waiter was superbly anttentive, and the food was exceptionally good. After splitting the fried okra and watermelon salad with my friend, I did not know if I’d have room to eat my entree, fried chicken and waffle, but I did. The chicken batter was tasty and not heavy, and the waffle was light and fluffy. I see why Restaurant Beatrice gets such high praise! You get high value for the reasonable prices. I will definitely be back! I also love that it is located in Oak Cliff. So many people think you have to go to downtown Dallas or northern suburbs for high quality food and service.

What a wonderful dinner! We have been meaning to visit for some time and finally did. Ambience and service were wonderful and the food was spectacular. The gumbo, oysters, bread basket, jambalaya and doberge cake. Can’t wait to return and try some more items. A lovely spot and highly recommend.

From the interesting starter cocktails, amazing “Cajun egg roll” appetizers and our delicious main courses we really enjoyed ourselves at Beatrice and will return. The dining room was very attractive and our waiter was very helpful.

We really enjoyed this authentic and upscale Louisiana style restaurant! The food was delicious and flavorful. The summer peach salad was yummy and the catfish had a rich tasty sauce! And, the dessert was over the top! I have only had a Doberge cake in New Orleans and now there is one in Oak Cliff!

Restaurant Beatrice was an absolute superstar! From the moment the hostess meets you w a smile, through the great cocktails, and amazing creole food. So delicious. Everything has layers of flavor and smoke. I wish NYC (where I live) had Creole this good. A+

We had a fantastic experience at Beatrice. The food is as good as the hype, if not better! Everything we ate here was delicious. The service was extremely attentive. Everyone there clearly has a passion for what they do. We will definitely be back!
