Our dining experience was wonderful and we received impeccable service. A beautiful space filled with great food. Thank you for accommodating my dietary needs with delicious vegetarian options. We will dine at Restaurant August again and recommend it to our friends.
Very overpriced for the quantity and quality of food. My advice is to go somewhere else: plates are extremely small the service is not appropriate for the price level and the restaurant interior is just average
The food is delicious. Ordered the beet salad, fried oysters, the venison, the flounder and the pineapple soufflé. Everything was so perfectly prepared and tasted incredibly good. The staff is very friendly.
Overall, it was a good meal. Unfortunately a few of the courses were overly salty. Everything would have been excellent if not for the amount of salt on the foie gras and the pasta course.

We were pleasantly surprised to find Restaurant August so perfect. We sat at the wine room and it was quiet and it made a perfect setting to enjoy our wine and our food. Everything that we ordered was superb and beautiful presented. The server was knowledgeable and explained the ingredients in all of the dishes. We will highly recommend this as one of the best New Orleans has to offer.
My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day at August and one word describes the experience - OUTSTANDING !! Every item on the menu was tempting. However, my duck breast was the best I've ever had. And although the portion seems to be average sized when served - I was stuffed upon finishing it. My wife had the diver scallops (3) and again was stuffed upon finishing it and the sides. The best thing about the restaurant is the service. CLASSIC NEW ORLEANS ! A wine or water glass was kept filled at always the appropriate time. Anything you needed seemed to be anticipated by the staff. Plus, everyone was very knowledgeable. The sommelier was great. We had a flight of Madeira and were not disappointed since it was from a special Portuguese producer from which this vintage is no longer available. A large amount of it was purchased by Restaurant August and won't last forever. Although it was an expensive dinner, it was well worth it. Don't hesitate to celebrate special occasions here. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!
Always a treat to dine at August. Their take on New Orleans dishes like the shrimp “etouffe” that was done with Asian type dumplings is always wonderful. Service is impeccable and the food quality and presentation is top notch.
