I have always enjoyed eating at August, always quality food with great service.

Outstanding meal. We really liked the set 4-course format with a few options for each course. The Amuse-bouche was incredible. Service and food were top tier. We'll definitely be back.

The food and service was amazing. My only complaint was I felt like our meal was rushed. Our first course came out as soon as we ordered. The waiters were on top our table waiting for us to finish to take the plate. If I had my fork down too long they came to take the plate and I was just taking my time eating not finished. I think we had 4 courses in less than an hour. I just wanted to enjoy the dinner but instead it was so fast we couldn’t enjoy it.

Absolutely incredible.. elegant food and top notch service & quality. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience for my girlfriend and myself, CHEERS!!

Excellent food and service. Food a little pricey. Would have preferred if menu was ala carte. Had a set four course menu which was more courses than we typically eat. Maybe that was an option, but waiter never mentioned it. Next time I would be sure to ask.

Once again an excellent experience at August: my server explained the menu well, and I opted to combine several of the appetizers and firsts: foie gras torchon, followed by the beet salad, and then the crab black and blue, which was very rich and quite enough for a main course. Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. There was a bit of confusion about the time of my reservation, but that was quickly solved by texting. All great value for the price. Highly recommended.

The food was exquisite. We had individual wine pairing by the glass with each course and every one was magnificent. The sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly and gave very good information about the different wines. The service was excellent. All around spectacular dinner.

From the moment you step into the restaurant, you feel right at home. We went over Thanksgiving and they had a beautiful Christmas tree set up that made us feel warm and cozy. The food at August was the best we had in New Orleans. The Chef is just amazing. Whether you order gnocchi or lobster ravioli starters to scallop dinners to delicious desserts, you will not be disappointed. The playlist in the background was wonderful as was our server, who made it.

The price we paid for the prix menu did not worth the value. We paid for $350 for two prix price. The food was not all that good. I would not return to this restuarant.

I ordered the skirt steak. It was full of hard grissel. I couldn’t finish it. My husband ordered the red snapper which was very bland . His royal red shrimp salad had no taste. Lobster ravioli was like chewing on cardboard. We excited about going to Restaurant August but left very disappointed in our meal.

My 60th birthday dinner was superb. As a former chef (and forever foodie) I was in my happy place. Service and dinner even beat my high expectations!

August is amazing- the service is impeccable and the food is divine. Even in the pandemic it feels special!

We had Mark as our host. He knew it was our anniversary from a previous visit. He was fabulous. Everything was flawless. Fine dining but not fussy.

Sommelier was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable with no pretentiousness. Her recommendation was spectacular and she could have easily sold me a more expensive bottle. Very open and willing to talk, share her knowledge. Food excellent as always. Duck was best I’ve ever eaten. Service was impeccable. Never anything but exceptional. 6th time dining at August, twice since Covid. Excellent effort at safe public dining.

Mostly delicious meal, but the chef has an obsession with finishing salt which made its way onto every dish, including every single dessert . Yummy soft shell crab but disappointing, way too salty veal chop.

We were celebrating our one year anniversary! The food was delicious and the waiter was amazing. The manager on the other hand was straight garbage and completely ruined the night. First off, he looked borderline homeless. His hair was greasy and constantly in his face. We honestly thought he was a busser in a dirty tuxedo. He tried taking our plates of our second course when we politely said no and that we were still working on it he threw his hands up then slapped them on him legs then shook his head and walked away. To top it off when my wife got up to use the restroom. He yelled at her across the entire “fine dining” restaurant to put her mask on or get out! Then said she gave attitude in response! In actuality she was just shocked and confused that it he was even talking to her (because it was completely across the entire restaurant) and in such a manner! It was absolutely appalling. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I will never go here again. Completely unprofessional.

Always the absolute best. Managed with best Southern style and the service is beyond expectations. You won’t find a menu anywhere like it. Never disappoints.

The food was absolutely amazing. The server staff knew their stuff and made excellent recommendations based on my questions. The food was so amazing. Delicious and put together rather well. Very pleasing to the palate and the eye. Will return again if I ever get back to New Orleans!

The service, food and dining room are all top-notch. They were clearly prepared to protect diners from Covid.

Restaurant was originally listed on Coolinary website; then when we arrived, we were told they were not participating. We stayed anyway and enjoyed the meal.

Always one of our favorite restaurants in New Orleans. They highlight regional cuisine and take it to the next level of sophistication. Very well done and they made us feel welcome.

We had a wonderful time. The cocktails were wonderful and Mark left us alone to enjoy it!! Elise and Mark were great servers. The gnocchis with truffles were amazing as was the soft shell. My husband’s lamb and risotto was also remarkable. We’ve already made our next reservation.

I was a little disappointed that it was a set menu. There was a mess up with one of my courses but the staff took care of it immediately. The food was delicious as always but look forward to when al carte will be back
