restaurant@Sheraton Ratings and Reviews
Despite the good service, very disappointing. The website indicated that it was an Asian Fusion restaurant. We arrived to discover that the menu was basically the hotel's room service menu consisting of standard fair such French onion soup, salads, burgers, a club sandwich and a handful of entrees that you might find at any hotel restaurant. Very limited and quite mundane.
It's a great place and great food for people who are familiar with Asian food. However, if you are a vegetarian, please note that you won't find many options. If you order a set, which includes soup, entree and a dessert, The price will be the same but you won't be able to eat the soup because it contains fish.
I had the most memorable dim sum and dinner experience there. Upon arriving, we were greeted with fresh strawberry water, and warmed ourselves with pu-erh tea in a beautiful ceramic teapot & stove. The dim sum were scrumptious and a visual treat too: the pumpkin dumpling with nuts and the gold fish mango pudding. But the durian thin pan cake and the pan fried eggplant with stuffed shrimp elevates the whole dining experience to the hall of fame.
Brasserie Du Dragon has a short but nice selection of dim sum items. You can also order off the menu and food will be brought out as ready or as requested. Even some of the dessert choices were a hit. We particularly liked the Little Piggy Custard Buns and the Hello Kitty Buns (very tasty). There was only one item I would have liked, but didn't see on the menus: sticky rice in leaf. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was lovely. It was especially helpful that they take reservations, since so many places don't and lines elsewhere can be lengthy or unpredictable at best.
The food is excellent. Very delicious and well done! But the kitchen did not read the order well and left out one dish. That shows the waiting staff and the chefs are not communicating well. And the waiting staff was not informed of what's not available in time to inform the guests
