One waiter for ~ 12 tables and 24 people was the primary driver for the review. This resulted in inattention from the poor waitress trying to do her best. She was pleasant but had more than any one person should be asked to handle. 15 minutes passed before we had both glasses of wine on the table. She also bussed the tables when people left. Disappointed the main meat listed on the limited menu was unavailable and the replacement, which was antelope, was skimpy, about four small bites, dry, and unimpressive. One of the appetizers was also unavailable. Sautéed vegetables were nothing special. Halibut was really good but you have to work pretty hard to mess it up. Wines by the glass menu is very limited too. I would not recommend Anise based upon on our first and last experience.

Small place with excellent food. The service was great and everything is freshly made. The food is worth the price. Reservations are recommended.

It’s always a wonderful experience dining at Anise! We love it there: the food is fabulous, the staff is amazing, and the clientele is fun to talk with.

Was a lovely evening with family - they set us up with 2 tables to accommodate our large group - food exceptionally delish. everyone enjoyed - even the 13 year old twins. They all want to return - from Dallas - Chef friendly and knowledgeable

We dined on Christmas Eve with a rather large party. The food is good. The filet was the best plate, in my opinion (we tried almost one of every entree). Nice presentation of food. The service, unfortunately, was not at the level of the food. The servers are extremely nice, just not trained properly for what would be expected at a typical five star restaurant.
