Restaurant 213 Ratings and Reviews
We come to Easton yearly for the waterfowl festival. We come a day early to stay in Fruitland, md. (Right out of Salisbury) just to eat at this special place! Jim Hughes, the chef/owner of 213 is a most talented chef, he was chef in the Reagan White House!!!! You won't be disappointed! Hubs had lobster in butter, I had shrimp and grits, YUMMY!!!
Tonight was our second visit and it was a poor experience. Crabcakes were cold, when redone they were raw and lacked any crab. But to us the worst part was that the chef/owner would not come out and talk to us about all that was going on, and intended to still charge for inedible food. Left a very bad taste, thats for sure.....
The food and service were outstanding. The food is on par with L'Auberge in Great Falls VA.
We have lived on the Eastern Shore for 2 years now and this was by far the best fine dining experience we have had to date. Worth the 1 hour drive!
The flavor of the food was awesome.
Went for my annual birthday dinner there. Always a nice place to go. Chef created an awesome vegetarian pasta dish for me and my husband loved his rockfish 213.
Our waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Love this place.
They seemed to be a bit off the night we went, as I ordered a Vodka and grapefruit juice cocktail and they didn't have grapefruit juice. I needed a "to-go" box and they were out of them, so the waiter wrapped the leftovers in plastic, then foil. And, lastly, I love getting the scones to take home for the next morning, and they didn't have them. Oh well.
This is our second time at Restaurant 213 and I can tell you our experience is just as good as our first. Service, food, ambiance are outstanding. We will certainly go back again & again & again...... We will also make sure we entertain family, friends and guests at Restaurant 213. Wine list is impeccable and food is just about the freshest I've ever tasted.
We greatly enjoyed our time. The food, service and drinks were all outstanding. We especially enjoyed the carrot soup, the small sipping soup, the lemon sorbet intermezzo (between courses) and the oysters. My 98 year old mother-in-law especially enjoyed being able to have just a soup and to split a meal. She also enjoyed the slice of cake for her birthday that we received as we were leaving.
What a surprise to find a restaurant of this quality on our drive home from the beach. The food was spectacularly fresh and imaginatively prepared, from the seared scallops on lobster risotto to the banana beignets (lucious tempura fried banana pieces with vanilla ice cream and caramel dipping sauce). Fresh halibut. Rose from Provence. Even a tiny ball of lime sorbet between courses. After a week of so-so beach food, Restaurant 213 was a delight.
Our gourmet dining experience was simply over the top everything was outstanding the food was extremely interesting the Caprese salad was out standing we were told that the tomatoes and basil we're straight out of the garden minutes before we order that. Absolutely astonishing restaurant
FABULOUS DINNER! I hope the locals can appreciate the fantastic food being served here! The scallops over lobster risotto was divine! And this coming from a first generation northern Italian! Melissa was an EXCELLENT waitress.....can't wait to go back!
Wonderful restaurant Simply the Best. We will be back absolutely great extensive wine list very good for special occasions excellent service. You will not find a restaurant that has seasonal Foods grown in the garden on-premise. Great for special occasions birthdays weddings absolutely the finest restaurant anywhere in the metropolitan area.
After leaving the air show we stopped at restaurant 213. We thought that the traffic would be very heavy so we stopped by 2checkout this Gourmet restaurant as the reviews have said. It was my husband's birthday so we decided to try this foodie restaurant. We had many selections of wine we had a bottle of Caymus along with are entrees. We we thought that the food was exceptional. The service staff was wonderful the restaurant was quite busy but gladly accepted our walk in we did make reservations on OpenTable while we were traveling to this restaurant. We had an exceptional evening it was a special occasion and we will come back the chef visited our table and we appreciate that.
We are staying in Salisbury this weekend for the air show in Ocean City. After looking at the reviews and asking our hotel the Hampton Inn where we should dine. They recommended restaurant 213 which is just below the hotel. It was truly a gourmet experience they have an excellent wine list outstanding food polite service. We walked from our hotel and while we were walking towards the restaurant we noticed they had a full Garden this is truly remarkable and we know that are vegetables were seasonally grown.
