   Great food and service. Little pricey to pay $50 for steak and have to order sides to go with it. Waitress was outstanding we had drinks at the bar very nice gentleman. Overall great dinner.

   Excellent food; limited menu, alacarte and fairly expensive. No free rolls or bread or salad with entrees. Excellent service. Halibut was perfect but I was still hungry even after eating half of my wife’s hand burger and fries.

   I will never go to the Bear Mountain Inn again, nor will I refer anyone to go there. The parking situation was not acceptable, down a hill, past construction trucks, park on the side of the road, in tall grass with high heels on...and there was a parking fee....arrive at the Inn after walking a significant distance... no one was available to ask for directions... we find where our dining area was, was seated gave waitress our drink order.... buffet room was not ready, went through the line, no utensils available to place food on our plates had to wait... go back to table ... no drinks, go up to buffet for seconds, go back to the table, still no drinks, go through the dessert line, back to the table, still no drinks.... then we see waitress with our drinks, she about 3 rows away from us... is giving our drinks to some one else... we signal her those are our drinks... ask for our bill..... that takes approximately 20 minutes.... p[aid the bill and left.... very, very dis-appointing mothers day....lunch.... I will never return to this place.... a horrible experience!!!!!!

    Bear Mountain has always held a special place in our family’s heart. We’ve been going to Bear Mountain since we were children to see the train shows, the gingerbread houses, and to ice skate. My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Inn. Mother’s Day Brunch was lovely and we got to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday, too! Thank you for the wonderful memories.

    We were staying at the Overlook and had to drive to the Inn and restaurant. Parking is a problem for guests of the Inn. It’s more of a public parking situation. Not convenient at all.

    Wasn’t really interested in dinner menu so ate at the bar (seperate menu). Obviously smaller portions but the food was good. Overall a bit pricy, especially sides ($8 for fries) but I ordered the open roast beef sandwhich which which I highly recommend. Had breakfast at 1915 as well. The French toast, eggs and bacon were good but avoid the pancakes.

    Restaurant 1915 (not the bar area) is a wonderful place to eat. The food was delicious and service was great. Also, not to be undersold is the amazing views. The large picture windows give you a great view of the park and the giant fireplace gives it a “lodge” feel.

    This restaurant is always a pleasure. Their buffet is wonderful. Our dinner was delicious and the ambience is truly a great experience. The employees are friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the butternut squash soup and filet mignon.

    Service was very good. Food came out quickly. Everything was good, nothing was outstanding. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back there just for dinner, but if I was at Bear mountain and was hungry, I would definitely eat there again.

    Beautiful location, some really nice people and yet overall operation is not very well executed Even though the restaurant was almost empty, we were asked to make a reservation - guaranteed by a credit card and a $25 fee per person for not showing up- available 2 hours later. When finally seated and orders were taken food arrived cold and with long wait between meals. There were some group parties in the building so it explains why the kitchen was overwhelmed with volume, but it is still not a good enough excuse for the poor experience of individual guests. Not to mention that some meals that were not inexpensive were very simple with minimal effort

    Beautiful rustic room with modern updates. We were fairly early so we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Nice views on both open sides, mountain view on one side, river on the other. Food was very good. Our server was very pleasant, and brought us French Onion soup off menu (it is on the bar menu but not the restaurant…be sure to ask!) . Bucatini was outstanding, with plenty of cut lobster (and garlic!) and basil. It says hot chilis but none were present to the eye so they may have been in the broth. Not a spicy dish though, do not be scared off by the hot chilis! Finally, dessert was a double chocolate cake and a lemon raspberry tart, with both being excellent. It’s a slow pace, so if you’re looking for an early exit and quick experience, you’ll be disappointed. If a beautiful room, great food, pleasant service and a laid back dinner is to your liking, I can recommend it for you.
