I took my husband here for this 28th birthday and he and I both loved it!!!! The greeting of the valet attendants was an added unexpected bonus, however, it really set the tone. The ambiance was perfect and quaint. We both enjoyed the dim lighting and overall decor of the establishment. Our food was great, the waitress we had the pleasure of having was simply remarkable!
Dine here, you won't be disappointed.
Our dinner took us two hours and we were pretty much the only party in there. The service was very slow and the food was average.
Very good casual dinner/drinks spot. Live jazz some nights
We had a lovely meal at Reserve. It's location is convenient if you are attending an event at the Sprint Center or the Kauffman Center. Parking can be an issue, however. I had the Chef's Shrimp dish..the rice and vegetables were wonderful. My husband's fillet was perfectly cooked.
Options were less.
Very good ambiance.
Excellent server, delicious food, loved the asparagus and red wine demi
The wait to get our food took way too long for what we ordered.(brunch) Other than that everything was great. The staff were very friendly and engaging, the ambience was excellent and the food was wonderful once it arrived. I would recommend. I plan to go back!
Management needs to be better prepared for big events in town. It took over an hour to get our breakfast this morning.
There must have been an issue in the kitchen. It took over an hour for me to receive an order of pancakes and scrambled eggs. One diner at the bar ordered toast and even that took over an hour. Multiple tables of diners left due to the wait. It was quite disorganized because the servers didn’t always alert the kitchen when entire tables of diners left. Thus, food would come out eventually and there was no one at the table. I was surprised that the management didn’t discount bills for everyone. Even 10% would have been a nice gesture.
Great evening at The Reserve with friends. Great ambiance and music from Ron G!
Pleasantly surprised. There were a couple menu items I was wanting to try, so we will definitely be back. The menu was nice, food was delicious, atmosphere beautiful. Great music. I wish there were just a few more items on the menu, but overall I enjoyed it very much!
Server was very good just seemed to be very nervous.
This was my first time visiting this place and I was impressed by the atmosphere, customer service and food! Everything was very nice!
Just OK food. Ambiance is nice.
My wife and I enjoyed Reserve for our date and we plan to go back soon!
A nice selection of appetizers and drinks during happy hour that went until 7pm! Our party of four each also ordered an entree. Of the entrees with a protein, all were all at least slightly over cooked - the worst being the pork belly which was burnt to a crisp on the bottom. The over cooked proteins aside, the food was flavorful. Unfortunately, the star of each dish was the sides. I would go back to give it another try, as the environment was perfect for a special occasion or date night.
Food was good, ambiance was excellent! Music was an added plus, really enjoyed the duo. Will come back to hear them! Parking was an issue due to construction in front of the hotel.
Awesome service, Awesome Food. Our new favorite place downtown!!!
Nice atmosphere and good service. Menu was limited, but being a hotel restaurant that can be expected. Happy hour was a great value and their truffle fries are the best I’ve ever had. Good choice for grabbing something to eat before a Sprint Center event. Especially with a parking garage across the street.
Valentine’s Day dinner!
The food and service were excellent. The restaurant was quiet with some light music playing. It is a good place to be able to have a conversation with your date while enjoying dinner.
I have done this review several times but always get hung up after the photos. It does not advance so that I can complete it.
Nice ambiance and wait staff.
Reserve is not much more than a small intimate lounge area of a hotel. The lighting and furniture are nice but the menu is limited. Outside the hotel is trashy. This area has been revitalized with the KCP&L District but the same dirty areas and people remain. Homeless and trash litter the streets and parking garages. On our way up the stairwell in the parking garage there was a lot of litter and a super rank smell. A few stairs up, someone had actually pooped on the stairs, we turned the corner and there were cracked out homeless people occupying the stairwell. Hmmm I wonder who pooped in there? This isn't the restaurant's fault obviously, but if you want to have a nice and somewhat pricey restaurant that brings in higher end customers, the surrounding area should support that. We actually left and went to brunch at Harvey's where there is an actual brunch.
Be aware that complimentary parking is available. Construction in the area has eliminated the previously convenient adjacent parking.
The lunch menu is limited but adequate. Service is quite good.
Fabulous as always. I still do not understand how this place isn't packed every weekend for brunch!
This place was terrific. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. The prices are what you'd expect to find at a high end restaurant, so just be prepared and know that it's worth it. The ambiance and décor was what sold me. I enjoyed the low lighting and nice quiet atmosphere, although a few guests did need to use the phones in order to read the menu (I saw it just fine). Took a group of 8 clients here for dinner and they all loved it. I'd highly recommend it.
What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is amazing. Perfect for a date or a business meeting or just out for fun. The people are just the best. Wonderful service.
The food was not all that to me. However, the ambiance was very romantic and fancy.
The food was amazing. The vibe was fancy yet comfy. They have live jazz on the weekends. Such a great dinner!
OK but not outstanding. The restaurant has lovely ambiance and decor. We went for Sunday brunch and the restaurant was more than half empty but our food took awhile--not a big problem as we weren't in a rush, but we were hungry. I had avocado toast with fresh fruit. The avocado toast had two slices of avocado (so maybe a quarter of an avocado) and several of the berries in my fruit cup were moldy; it had obviously been made awhile ago and stored in the refrigerator. I honestly expected better for a restaurant that was so highly rated.
We thoroughly enjoy happy hours at Reserve. The food and service are always excellent. If only they would finish the construction so it's easier to park!
Dined prior to an event at the Sprint Center. Menu has good variety and our wait staff was excellent. Good wine list by the glass. Unfortunately it was restaurant week so the very tasty pasta dishes ( one with shrimp and one with chicken) was only warm and not hot. We assumed the volume of diners contributed to the preparation serving temperature. Will give the reserve another chance when attending our next event. Chocolate brownie desert was yummie
Great experience, knowledgeable about gluten free foods! Will be back!!!!
First time here. Came for brunch. Slightly pricy but delicious and excellent service and ambiance!
Great ambiance, the food and menu was remarkable and the staff was attentive. Overall, this was an exceptional surprise of sophistication.
Awesome place. Quiet and secluded. Great place for romantic night out.
Chef’s special was a 3/4” ribeye that was served below room temperature with a side of heavily salted fingerling potatoes. This was a $40 entree that should have been promptly discarded in the trash with an apology from the chef.
