The restaurant name, Reserve 22, represents the 22 lakes that complement our 240 acres of scenic, golf course landscape, which is populated by native vegetation and diverse wildlife. Our conservation efforts allow you to take in the sights and sounds of nature in class and comfort.
We tried this restaurant for the first time. It was a beautiful day so we wanted to sit outside. We realized that they only had outdoor seating due to renovations. We waited at the hostess stand for several minutes while wait staff walked by and bartender saw us waiting. We finally asked the bartender if we should just seat our self and he said “yeah I guess. There is no hostess. We are understaffed.” It would have been nice if he had let us know that when he saw us standing there waiting, but he just ignored us, as did the other servers. The outdoor seating was beautiful. Fortunately we were not in a rush because it was the worst service we’ve ever had. There was only 1 waitress and a waiter who was brand new and it was his first day working. He was very nice, but we had to ask for everything. We didn’t get napkins, silverware, straws, plates with appetizer, etc. We waited for our food for an hour and a half, while watching people walk out and complain about terrible service. It’s too bad, because the atmosphere was really nice outside and the food was very good once we finally got it. The manager came over and introduced herself and was very nice. However I think that she should have been offering free drinks to all of the angry customers or something. She was fairly new as well. The restaurant was very poorly run and no one was clearing tables so there were dirty dishes on many tables, which was attracting bees. Not sure we will return anytime soon. Hopefully they will get their act together.
My friends and neighbors just enjoy it. Good menu, good food, good service, great atmosphere.
Ordered the salmon with dill potato salad and was sadly disappointed. I've had dill potato salad many times and this didn't look nor taste like what I had anticipated. The waitress was nice and brought me cole slaw instead. Next I cut into the salmon and it was still raw inside. Had to send it back to the kitchen. Also our guests wanted to sit outside; however, we were bombarded by bees and had to move indoors.
Food was excellent, and the patio is absolutely gorgeous and well decorated. Only downside was that the service was lackluster. We didn’t see a server until nearly 20 minutes after we were seated, and it required the manager to check in twice on us to see if our server had come by, which they hadn’t. She finally got another server from a different section to cover our table, but you could tell all around there was a shortage of staff or just simply inattentive servers. If the service improves we will definitely be returning.
We really like eating outside on the patio. It is a very large patio with its own bar area so there usually is not a problem reserving a table. Food and service were excellent.
Outdoor patio is my favorite place to eat outdoors, one of the best in the area.
The menu selection and food have improved. This is a great outdoor dining spot.
MADE A RESERVATION AND THEY HAD A GREAT TABLE WAITING FOR US...IT WAS BUSY BUT SERVICE WAS GOOD...LATER ALOT OF KIDS RUNNING AROUND IN AND OUT...PARENTS OBLIVIOUS..WILL DEFINITELY RETURN...
We love the Reserve 22 outside...unfortunately it was severe weather and had very little chance of enjoying the casual out door ambiance with spectacular views of the golf course, plants, and flowers. I wanted to wait and go another evening when we could be outside...my friend said, let's just do it! I acquiesced, and although the food was great and our server Dan couldn't have been nicer...the Reserve is best enjoyed outside...even the clientele is more fun outside...livelier, which makes for a more spirited atmosphere. Save this gem for outside dining even in cooler weather with heaters going and fire pit warming you! I am already planning another evening outside and look forward to the cooler weather ahead.
Great outdoor dining! Excellent draft beer list. Highly recommend!!
Love the outside area
Enjoyed an evening with great friends on the patio. Lovely evening !
Went for an early dinner following a play at College of Dupage. Sat outside with a pleasant view. Food was good, but not remarkable. Service was very good and fun.
The restaurant is WAY TOO NOISY. Makes it very difficult for a normal conversation . The patio is very nice, but over run by little kids whose parents are drinking and having a good time, BUT paying no attention to their children.
My waiter was incredibly inattentive and slow. I had to wait a long time for my food. When it finally came out and was wrong, it took a very long time for it to be corrected. The waiter wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. I had several questions of which he had to go ask in the kitchen for answers. He also gave me incorrect information about the item I did order. The outside seating was absolutely lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere!
An amazing burger that cant be matched for that price (half off). The outdoor patio was a perfect setting for a great July evening in Glen Ellyn.
Great time. Only wish they still had the Salad Louie!
Lovely attentive service. Knowledgeable Server who made for a delightful evening.
great food great time. Manager came over to introduce herself to us and ask if we needed anything. Highly recommend!
Six of us Matt to celebrate a birthday and the patio was a beautiful setting for this occasion. It was clean and well organized with tables along the edge so we could enjoy the beautiful view The servers, who seemed to be invested in our comfort, had just the right amount of friendliness. We all enjoyed our food. My only recommendation is that they could increase their salad menu. They need more options for vegetarians. The Cabernet we were served was outstanding.
new chef has changed menu drastically. Will not allow any substitutions. That is crazy. Been eating here for 30+ years. Not sure if going back
Always a nice place for a relaxing evening
Great outdoor dining spot with good food .
Service is always good and they have an outdoor
fire pit that is great to have a nightcap at............
We had such a great time!! Beautiful and delicious food!
We enjoy coming here with another couple. The bar area is usually quieter, so it's a good place for conversation. The food is always good. The dining area is usually a mix of families, so kids are very welcome. Very broad beer and bar selection. Increasing wine selection would be appreciated, but currently, not a bad selection.
We always enjoy the great patio at the Village Links. The food was super (new seasonal menu just introduced) and the beer and wine options were plentiful, as always. Our server accommodated several special requests and the manager stopped by our table before we were finished to see if we needed anything else. We will be back. Thank you!
We had such a wonderful time! Special shout-out to the Manager - she called me to make sure we wanted the patio seating due to extreme temperatures. Really appreciated the phone call. The server was excellent. Really had a nice time. The food was good - but mostly I enjoyed the ambienence
5 star location with relaxed vibe and beautiful conservatory views. Best in Dupage County.
Reservation for 6 outside. Sat us at a regular round table built for 4. Then when I asked for a table not in the sun they told me those specific tables were specifically reserved for others. I had to insist to get one of the shade tables. Only 4 place settings when apps came. No app plates for 5 minutes while apps sat. Food tasted fine and our server Bridget did great, all things considered.
Enjoyed a nice night on the patio, having a good meal and enjoying the atmosphere.
Good food, great waitress tonight
Always a good time. Have been going there for years.
Have been here several times and we enjoy, especially the patio. We went 2 hours before we needed to be at a play close by. Other tables came in, got their food & left before we were served our meal. Our waiter claimed it was the flatbread that one person ordered. No, I don’t think so, I think he forgot to order the main course after the salads. Disappointed. Bad night for service. We also asked for a split bill & he forgot to do that.
One lady at our table ordered onion rings for the table & they were brought piled on top of her sandwich. A she asked for a plate to pass them on & the server brought several small plates, one for each. Not too swift. One side of the room was filled w/golfers who were so loud we could not converse. A bit more like a locker room than a dining room. Food was very good.
Part of Village LInks Golf course complex. Outdoor patio is a great place to sit on a nice evening. Had the salmon and it was very good. Also fairly priced.
Food was a little slow coming out. We had to take some to go.
Went for Mother’s Day dinner buffet. Food was cold, meat over cooked, service not great. The food must of been sitting out all day. Then they ran out of the kids buffet as well. Disappointing.
This was Mother’s Day brunch @ $40/person so I expected it to be pretty good. It was not. We were seated just inside the door and my wife had a woman waiting for her table standing over her back half of the time.
The waiter offered my mother a complementary drink as a “mom” but didn’t mention it to my 34 year old wife (also a mother), and didn’t comp it on our bill after she ordered the special mimosa.
The spread left a lot to be desired (we could have gone to Texas de Brazil and gotten 4x the selection 10x the quality and paid an extra $5 per person.
The server who waited on us was an idiot. My wife asked for syrup for her waffle and he told her to go back and get some from the buffet area despite there not being small cups to pour the syrup on the side. She had to ask someone by the buffet to get that for her.
Then they went and added 20% gratuity right onto the bill. The service was worth 10% at best and I’m usually a 20% tipper having served before. We had 3 people. Don’t add gratuity. And if you do, only go 18% or less.
I’ll never ever ever go back to reserve 22 and I’ll tell people who mention it to avoid the place.
I called afterward and left a long voicemail with the director of food and bev and it’s been almost a week and I haven’t heard back from him yet. Based on the service, I don’t expect to.
We went for Mother's Day and had 9 people at our table. The food was excellent, standard brunch fare, nothing to crazy, but very good! Excellent pork roast and almon on the buffet as well as eggs benedict and all the desserts. The carving station had roast turkey and prime rib, also excellent. Cooked, peeled shrimp and the salad/cheese table was good too.
I have been here a couple of times before for business dinners, and it was very comfortable and welcoming.
The staff was attentive and very cordial. I liked the "stone fireplace" or whatever it was. One of the times it was cold out, so that warmed us up.
I would recommend this to all.
Excellent service, interesting food, and very affordable. This is a great place to dine when heading to the McAninch Art Center for an event.
