Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was very delicious. The chef definitely spoils his customers. The steak and potatoes were cooked to perfection. My husband and I have zero complaints. We dine at restaurants all throughout chicago and this place is definitely now in our top ten. We will return to this hidden gem. If you do not believe me try it for yourself.
Food is always good, but the outdoor patio can't be beat on a beautiful spring day!
So I hadn't been to Reserve 22 in a few years, but we wanted to go somewhere with a great patio because it was 80 degrees in April. I was never that impressed with the food in the past, but was presently surprised this time.

Slow service, may be understaffed . Menu items sounded great, but were average quality. Asked for table near the fire pit and was told it was reserved. 2 1/2 hours later patrons came to the reserved table. Nice atmosphere.
There were 4 adults,3 kids.
We ordered calamari, it came with a white sauce. Not tarter, maybe a cheese sauce? No marinara or cocktail sauce, so that was disappointing.

Chocolate cake was a BIG success with the kids. Hot dog and chicken lollipop were good.
Service was minimal. last time we had Tabitha and service was very good.
Their salmon is usually very good also.
Overall was an okay visit. Service & staffing was fine, food was just okay. Love the location and the atmosphere of the place though.
Slow service, perhaps the restaurant was short staffed. The restaurant also got my wife’s order wrong and we had to send it back. I had Chef Tom’s pork chops, which were very good. Highly doubtful that we will return.
Not sure what was going on, but the food was not good on Easter. The rice in the poke bowls was crunchy and undercooked. The pork chop was undercooked which made me nervous, since that isn't safe. It was covered in a sauce that was like a mayonnaise thing that wasn't warmed up. The rice and beans that went with it tasted like a box mix. Very disappointed for the cost. The weather was beautiful, but outdoor dining didn't have any umbrellas up or plants/flowers so it was not as pretty as I thought it would be ambience wise. I have had great experiences here before, so I hope this was just a bad day.
Our food was good, enjoyed the salmon. Safety protocols were followed. Lovely atmosphere.

Husband and I just came for a week night dinner mainly to help support our local restaurant. Husband's Cobb salad was just fine: nicely portioned (we do not like huge!), fresh and tasty. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken. I asked that the chicken not be overcooked as chicken breast gets tough. But the pieces were dry and tough. Now the roasted red peppers/mushroom/olive topping was delicious. And the quinoa was a nice side dish.
Our waitress was friendly, warm, had a sense of humor and provided good service.
We'll be back because for the most part we are usually impressed with the dishes.
Was so surprised as how great this restaurant is...the harvest farro salad was beyond yummy as was the crab cakes and beef filet. You will not be disappointed.

I hadn't been out to dinner for months (since COVID started). Met a friend there and we had the fish fry. It was fabulous.
It was great to be back I hope that people will take advantage now that their open they are making every effort to make it safe can't wait for Spring and summer
The outdoor tent was warm and cozy. There appeared to be only one waitress so service could have been better.
A favorite before the pandemic, we appreciate it even more during it. The large tented area was well-ventilated, tables were spaced & everyone was taking precautions. There are large heaters in the tent. We felt safe & comfortable.

Great place to go especially when the weather is lovely! Enjoyed the outdoor dining. My friend had the chicken sandwich and I had the farro butternut squash salad and both of us were happy with our choices.

Had a great last days of outdoor seating 😢. The tent set up was better than I expected as they had open areas for air. Beautiful gas fire pit and standing heaters.
Only negative is a smaller menu than most.
That said my sliders were excellent!
It was a very cool day, but the team was very accommodating with food, service and even moved the heat lamps closer to our table in the tent. Great job under these challenging circumstances and in these difficult times.
Service and food is always outstanding. The tent allowed for the lovely view and kept us toasty warm.
Too many people outside having parties in the mid afternoon during covid. Even with masks people walking close to your tables and some without masks. Will never return.
We usually love sitting on the patio but it was in the low 40s outside and windy and we did not have any luck getting a table near a patio heater. We came prepared with winter coats and windproof blankets. The food and service were good but I would be lying that it was comfortable sitting there with no heater nearby. We tried really hard to make the best of the situation and will continue supporting them with carryout in the winter.
