Saturday - Sunday: 10:00am - 1:00am.
The outdoor patio is why I go.
Food is always ok. Considering we had a large group, the food came out very quickly. Our server was the best we ever had anywhere; very attentive, yet not pushy; he earned a large tip!
Great food and service. They have an excellent selection of ciders - great for the non-beer drinkers out there.
A pleasant Sunday brunch at Republic before a theater performance in the area
It use to be a quality place now i wont go back again
A friend from out of state met me here near her hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the several hours we spent dining, drinking and catching up. Our waiter instinctively knew when we were ready for another drink or another food order. Weather was gorgeous so sitting outside was ideal.
Good food with wonderful beer choices! Charming English/Irish bar with ample outdoor seating. Service was great. We'll be back.
The spacious patio at Republic is perfect (minus the occasional thunderous rumbling of passing Harleys) for catching up with friends on a summer evening. I wish the service had matched the weather. While the servers were friendly, we had to find someone to take our order, initiate getting refills, etc. Additionally, two items didn't come out correctly--a burger that had been requested minus the bacon had bacon, and one of the desserts that was described as topped with strawberries had none (with the person bringing it out telling us their strawberries weren't fresh/good enough and he wished staff would quit telling people it comes with strawberries). Mostly the consistently slow service is what has me on the fence about returning, even though the food was mostly tasty.
A wonderful al fresco Sunday dinner! Great beer selection. Had a very good Cubano sandwich.
Great Mother’s Day brunch.
Great beer selection, food was good.
We left without getting any dinner... We arrived at 5:45, ordered, and by 7:15, our food hadn't arrived. Apparently it got delivered to the wrong table... Twice. I've never left a restaurant without getting food. They comped our drinks, even though we didn't even get all of them. Go somewhere else!
My wife and I dined here before a concert at the Cedar Cultural Center. The food (we both had the veggie burger) was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. This is a high energy place that would be great for a date or a large group. We will be back!
Hostess seemed overwhelmed, and we waited about 15 minutes past our reservation time to be sat. We were a table of two but were sat on a stage in a loud area clearly intended for large groups + overflow dining. Our server was trying, but was busy serving the several large groups. Both our meals were disappointing: An overcooked burger and a very small portion on the chicken sandwich. The beer selection was the only redeeming element of this dinner.
A very disappointing evening at The Republic! The restaurant need some updating ~ the chairs are wobbly and the tables feel like they need a good scrubbing down too. The wait staff is very slow and our party of 8 had dinners come out several minutes apart. Some people were almost done with their entire meal before others were served. In addition, the quality of the food was what I would refer to as 'bad bar food ' that is over priced! So disappointing ~ we would say save your money and find somewhere else to eat!
We didn't have much time before our show at Theater in the Round, but we got a reservation on Open Table easily and our food arrived quickly. The food was all great and our server super friendly and attentive. Perfect.
Theater night out with the girls
great beer selection and i love that they allow you to choose ANY 4 beers for a flight. So many places have a "hoppy flight," "local flight," "dark flight" . the Republic let's you build your own... and they have a great selection to choose from. Great tacos (good for vegetarians too) and an excellent BLT(with egg).
Beer selection was fantastic. My chicken sandwich was great. However, the burgers the ladies ordered were all mixed up based on medium / medium-well. The server had to be asked twice for water, never refilled them once, and then I asked for a half-glass of water at the time of the check that was never filled. My wife over-tipped and we still got ignored by the server as we left. I've been a server / bartender and so I'm pretty laid back about it, but this was poor. Still a great place, but poor service doesn't exactly cause a person to rush back.
A go-to casual spot. Great food, lots of options no matter your dietary preferences. Great beer list.
Because we had hard of hearing seniors with us, we asked for quieter seating and it was perfect!
We love this place! Great beer- many options! Great food, great location, ambiance and great service!!
Being a vege/pescatarian, it was a welcome surprise to have a few food options at a beer place. The seating was cramped (the person sitting behind me and I were fighting for space), but the service was friendly and fast. Its close to the Southern Theater, so its a good option pre-show. The seats fill fast; good thing reservations are easy.
Great service, unique menu and very good service. I will recommend to friends for casual occasions.
Restaurant was ready for us, but we were placed in a giant room alone which had no ambiance or vibe. Not sure why when there were many other tables available. We contemplated sitting at the bar, and should have. The bar is really the focus of this place. Food is just OK.
The food was so good, we went back the next day. Conviently located in the seven corners area
Nice night with friends - good food and drinks in a pleasant spot.
Not impressed. Good location for Theatre in the Round. Good beer selections. No other reason to go. We ordered appetizer, never came. No real apology for it. Waiter never checked with us. Won't be back and don't recommend.
First time I had been here. Enjoyed the decor. The stained glass was really cool. The food was good but even on a Monday, it was hard to hear others in our group conversation.
Four friends gather for supper before a show at Theater in the Round. That's the perfect setting for fun and enjoyment. That is what we got with Republic. They were having great happy hour specials, both food and drink, that we took advantage of. Everything was delicious and the drinks were not watered down. Our server was very helpful and made great recommendations. We would definitely return. The only downside was getting our car towed from the lot across the street because we put the ticket upside down. A very expensive ($135) lesson in pay parking lot etiquette. Just handle the parking correctly and you will have a great time at Republic.
Great experience. They accommodated our large reservation (11 people) and then were not annoyed when 3 people bailed last minute (even if we were annoyed at our friends..). Food and drinks were great and the service was good too. We had kids and they were all happy. Overall great experience.
Great selection of porters and stouts for Imperial Black Friday!
Great place for brunch! Food and drinks were great!
The front door brings you through the bar and at the end the hostesses are waiting. We sat down at a table that was a sticky wood feeling like a dirty bar. My wifes water and drink glass was chipped. The waitress welcomed us and since we are new to the bar told us it is known for their 100 kinds of beer. That is the only thing this place will be known for. The food was brunt a long with the fries and was so bad I only made it half way through it. The waitress didn’t even ask how the food was or notice it was only half gone before taking it from the table. I didn’t have a problem with the waitress or her service but will not be returning due to the food and ambiance of the place.
Service was slow and it was unclear as to why. The restaurant was semi-busy, but didn't seem overly busy.
We dined at Republic on Saturday evening. Good service and food. The only thing which made it a unpleasant dining experience was the temperature inside the restaurant was 80º and sitting on the patio wasn't an option since it was close to 90º outside.
Our server was a bit "absent." When she came around, she was very pleasant. Food was good.
We have eaten at Republic many times and enjoyed the breakfast options and good service. The staff is friendly and willing to offer opinions on menu items. The food was overall well prepared and served hot. Although we didn't partake this time, their bloody mary bar is a tasty way to start your Sunday, especially if you are heading to the game.
A lot of people were outside so the inside was quiet. Happy hour specials are great value. Dinner was good although the batter for the fish and chips was a big soggy (oil not hot enough). Moderate prices and great service.
Inadequate facilities and staff for the size. Waited over 35 minutes for 'bar food' (burger and fries). Was a constant line of 8+ people for restrooms (only 2 'single lane' facilities for a large venue). Weather was nice, and the large patio was open -- which only makes the issues worse.
Probably a nice place on a weeknight, when it's not crowded (but then why would you want to be there?), but not recommended on Friday/Saturday nights, when the weather is nice, or there is a concert or football game at the stadium.
