Great service and a great dinner, again. This is our favorite restaurant in Green Bay and it never disappoints. Our server did an outstanding job and we couldn't have been happier.
Food and service was second to none. Best dining experience I have ever had in the area.
Excellent meal, friendly staff and great atmosphere, as always!
We visit Republic every time we come to GB for a game. Love sitting at the nice bar, great service and food! Thank you!
Everything was good the food was very flavorful but the hit of the night was the Brussels sprouts they were absolutely amazing, and topped off with the key lime cheesecake. Wife’s bd was great.
It was perfect for my wife's 75th BD. Service was top notch and all in our group (4) had very positive comments.
This was our first time at Republic. We went for NYE dinner. The food was great and the attention to detail with regard to additional plates coming between salad and dinner etc was spot on. Our server was Jared and he was very professional, courteous and knew the menu and wine details even what ingredients were in certain menu items to accommodate food allergies.
Food was superb!
When w arrived the dining area as empty, shortly after two more tables showed up. Or server decided to prioritize the new tables and ignored us for 10-20 minutes at a time. We watched as the newly arrived tables received their entrees and deserts before we were given our entrees. Would not recommend and will not return.
The food is always wonderful, the staff is exceptional and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing.
Very filling but still delicious! The sides are made to share and definitely too much for 1 of your
First time dining here and it was most enjoyable. Our waitress was high energy and made spot on suggestions. I was looking for a Wagyu option and the of the 2 listed on the menu, one was unavailable. She suggested a non-menu item which was the A5 Wagyu and it was simply outstanding. My wife selected the Garlic Buttered Tenderloin and she loved it. We also had the Tiramisu for dessert and it could not have been better. Highly recommended!
3 of us had dinner. Very nice menu. Oysters as an appetizer. Rib eye with mustard and blue cheese spot on. Great short ribs perfectly cooked. Ordered pork chops, wrong entree came out but quickly replaced. They comped one drink and tjen brought out a free desert for my son who was celebrating a recent college graduation. Saw two Packers in the restaurant as well. Thanks to the staff for an excellent meal and service.
Great food and great service! My steak came out a little undercooked and our server quickly took care of it and even comped one of my drinks! I’ll definitely go back again.
Moroccan lamb chops and chicken were fantastic. Our waitress was personable and knowledgeable. We would definitely go back the next time we come in to see the Packers play.
Awesome steak house in the heart of historical Green Bay.
These folks have some very high quality steaks and the even have short ribs on the menu that are OUTSTANDING. Glad I stumbled upon this place
Great steak, salad and drinks. Think server was new so service could have been better. Pricy for this area but good quality.
Great atmosphere, above average service, INCREDIBLE food!!
Food was amazing. Waitress very friendly. Would definitely come back when visiting Green Bay again !!!
Food was excellent service was spot on
One of my "go to" places to bring clients. Never disappointing, and I always get compliments on restaurant selection.
Almost a total reversal from my first visit. I was not pleased with this latest dining experience. To start with my wife and I were seated in a booth in the very rear of the restaurant, even though there was only one other couple dining that evening. The seating selection made me feel like the hostess did not want us seen by any other customers, all two of them. That night Green Bay experienced a rather significant snowfall and a window seat overlooking the street would have been picturesque.
Our meals started with mussels in white wine sauce. Some of the mussels which were not covered with broth were actually dry with hard edges. For a main course we ordered a chef composition Tenderloin with Garlic Butter. The steak was Cooked perfectly. The entree was accompanied by a green purée which was very bitter and overpowered everything on the plate even the asparagus side. Although the waitress offered to re-plate the dish we passed on the offer and finished the meal.
Not very thrilled this time around.
We dined for our anniversary weekend. Steak and pork chops were amazing. The service was very attentive. We really enjoyed it.
The food, our waitress and atmosphere were very good !!!
But you need to fix the chairs , mine was falling apart .
We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary. The food is exceptional for the Green Bay area and so is the service. We highly recommend this place for couples, but we wouldn't want to dine with kids in this atmosphere. It's truly magical without any distractions. Go to relax and enjoy and you will not be disappointed!!!
Great food and atmosphere. Excellent service. A little bit expensive.
Food was delicious. Drinks were excellent. Surroundings were comfortable. Waitress was pleasant and happy.
The pistachio cream sauce that came with the linguine and scallops was way too salty and did not taste good. The scallops did not pair well with the pasta pistachio cream sauce either. The mussels for our appetizer were not washed well and tasted a bit off. There were crunchy bits of salt in the garlic cream sauce, which was off-putting. The sauce itself tasted good, but was not quite a marriage with the mussels. Our server did not remember to omit the onions on my brother’s salad, or the chef did not accommodate the first request. Our server was also 5 minutes late to deliver a $9 baked potato after already serving my brother his steak. What’s worse is that the potato wasn’t even baked all the way through. I sort of expected elevated reviews prior to dining at the Republic, because Green Bay probably doesn’t have much to compare a place like this to. Bottom line, I would not go here again unless someone else was paying. I would also stay away from the seafood and go with steak.
Waited an hour for our soup, steak was good but overall a good experience
Dinner was absolutely fantastic, and our waitress Jules was awesome!
A warm, friendly atmosphere with a very professional, knowledgeable wait staff. We have eaten here twice and loved it both times. The tomato basil soup, beef kabobs, steak fries, macaroni and cheese and steaks were all perfectly prepared. We were too full to eat desert there so got it to go and took it home for later that night. Yum!
Food was fantastic, everything from the salad to the steak were prepared and presented beautifully. Our waiter Mark, was seriously one of the nicest, most professional person, and made our experience one to remember. We will definitely be back.
We had an absolute great dinner. The server was awesome the food was amazing and the restaurant was quiet and very nice.
Service is top notch, food is pure perfection! Highly recommended!
Could have been an off night, but our server was very slow. We had to fill our own water glasses. Steak kabobs were tough. I wasn’t asked how I wanted them prepared. Brussel sprouts were amazing.
This is not a typical Green Bay restaurant. I almost laughed when my $41 steak was brought out on a tiny plate with nothing else- no potato, not even a green bean for color, and so pathetically small. I liked the atmosphere a lot, but the prices are not Green Bay prices. We won't be returning. We only went because we had a gift card.
Enjoyed it very much. One of the only places around with Beef Carpaccio, that alone was reason enough.
This is our third time coming to the Chophouse, our two prior were absolutely amazing! This time was just a bit shy of that. Our waiter was great and so was the food as usual. My only complaint this time is we sat for over 20 minutes before anyone came to get a drink or anything from us. We were early for our reservation, and were seated right away, which was fine. That was a bit disappointing and our waiter did apologize for the mix up, which working in the restaurant business for over 15 years, I understand things happen. The hostess did walk past us a few times, seated other people in which they even got drink orders as we still sat waiting. Those waiters didn't even acknowledge us either. We typically come to the Chophouse to celebrate our wedding anniversary, which is what we were doing there Monday and came early to what our reservation was to have a couple drinks prior to dinner. Just something to be aware of, we will back in the future but probably won't wait this long if we are not serviced right away.
I have had wonderful experiences in the past making this occasion very painful. I brought 5 business associates in for dinner, service was pleasant but it was clear we were forgotten about numerous times or they were severely short handed. Sat at 6:30 and did not have food until almost 8 pm. During the wait we did not get service for drinks. The food most specifically the steaks were over cooked. Very disappointing. Did not represent our city well.
Out experience at Republic Chophouse was everything we could have asked for. Our server Jared was amazing. He was very attentive and was able to answer every question we had about the menu! I would highly recommend this restaurant and server to anyone. Food was amazing as was the wine and their selections to choose from. Our steak was cooked perfectly and everything was served in a timely manner and piping hot. We went there to celebrate an anniversary and will definitely be back to celebrate other occasions as well.
