Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. Repeal is a tribute to the Repeal of Prohibition – a place to see, be seen and celebrate the rich tradition of the building in which it resides.

Two of the meals were very good but it was Father’s Day and his meal wasn’t. The service was average. He got the Monte Cristo meal for brunch. It was burnt and not tasty.

Fantastic place to have an Anniversary dinner. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was excellent! The cocktail sauce has a good kick to it, highly recommend.

Repeal is a must when staying in Louisville. We stayed at the hotel attached and ate here Friday and Saturday night. The staff is amazing. Management is on top of their game. The filet was great. We will be back many times to come! Thanks for treating us like family.
