Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. Repeal is a tribute to the Repeal of Prohibition – a place to see, be seen and celebrate the rich tradition of the building in which it resides.

I took my girlfriend here and we got the Australian wagyu filets. Best steak I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. Bread, whipped potatoes, and onion rings were really good. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was great. We dressed to the nines and got a free bread pudding for her birthday. I told her I love her for the first time and we will remember this for the rest of our lives. Thank you Repeal!

The service and food were both amazing!! Our server was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations! It was my first night ever in Louisville and I felt that I made the right choice going there, and though everything else may pale in comparison after!

Started out at the bar at 5pm, a slow time, the bartender, I believe young white bald guy, I asked him some questions about old fashioned… then there was a weird vibe and he asked if i was okay.. I then decided to skip the drink at the bar because of his attitude and went to my table. I brought a new guest that had never been to repeal, the server never talked about repeal itself, he talked about the menu very quickly, Mainly talked about steaks. I’m a pescatarian he suggested one fish to me. The food runner served the male first then me, the female, then he gave my side item that went with my dish to the male. So that went all wrong. I enjoyed my lobster tail but left the pasta
