Repeal 33 never disappoints, as a local it is one of our go to spots. The food is wonderful and the people work to make it an overall great experience.
Bonus points for being COVID conscious without letting it take away from the experience.
Fabulous food and the service was excellent! Highly recommend!
Every single plate was amazing and the service from Matt was second to none. We had the gnocchi, potatoes, two salads, wings and two desserts. Not to mention the jalapeño tequila drink! I will be back!
Awesome experience for Mother’s Day . My mom enjoyed everything . Thanks
Our server Matt was on point!! He was professional and had a great attitude. His sense of humor was delightful. The restaurant was very nice, beauty coupled with an eclectic décor. The ambiance was amazing, lit by candlelight with songs from the 70's era through modern times. And lastly, the food was well proportioned and really good! I ordered the shrimp and grits and was pleasantly pleased. I'm glad we chose Repeal 33 to spend our Mother's Day.
Food was great and the bartender was outstanding. Highly recommend.
The Tasting Menu was a great idea for first timers, now I have a better appreciation for the menu and would go back knowing what I'd get. Loved doing the tasting, only con I have was that we were sat in the very back room which is quieter, but I would've preferred the fun ambiance/surroundings/decor near the bar area. But that's personal preference. We had a great time, it was a fun meal for a birthday dinner. Would also be fun to go back with a few more people.
Amazing food and wonderful service! Christine was the perfect server and every single dish we ordered was fantastic.
As with the rest of the food industry, Repeal is suffering from staff shortages; however, once we were seated the Manager came over to explain the situation and asked for our understanding in case of any gaps in service. Our server Matt was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. Love this place and will definitely return.
Oysters on the half shell were very small.
We chose Repeal 33 based on other favorable reviews, for our last night of vacation in Savannah, and loved it! Wine & beer selections excellent. Numerous creative food selections. We ordered the Charcuterie tray as an appetizer, which focused on various smoked meats sliced very thin, along with homemade bread & crackers. A great start. Then we both ordered the fresh catch, sea bass. It was prepared just right and featured a base of thickened corn chowder that perfectly complimented the fish! Perhaps priced slightly above expectations, but the quality of the food, service & ambience was top notch!
We came there as it advertises gluten friendly and we were immediately greeted with a server who started her presentation with "anyone have any allergies?" Of course we said gluten and she offered up the menu options. Once my food arrived via another server I didn't notice immediately until I started eating, there were croutons UNDER the salad. We pointed this out to the waitress and she offered to "bring another plate to place them on." This in not a solution for a person with celiac, the contamination of the food is done. I did not finish my food and they did not offer to fix the problem.....and charged full price. Would not recommend if anyone has a food allergy....or celiac.
The staff were exceptional and the restaurant is very attractive. The dood is ok. Nothing terrible nor exceptional. The shrimp and grits were lukewarm at beat when arrived.
Shrimp and grits were good but very bland. They couldn’t decide if it should be spicy or not, so they chose in between.
The cheese board and meat board was ok.
The catch of the day, halibut looked good, but you know it is not local.
The shrimp were not local.
The hamburgers looked good. I’ll try that next time.
Enjoyed the energy of the place - love the decor, music, friendly staff. The food and drink selection were delicious and had something for each person in our party of 6. Items were on the pricier side, some of them worth it (TARTE FLAMBÉE get it!), others felt overpriced (6 pieces of gnocche for $15!). Overall, great service and experience.
This is the first time we’ve been here and the experience was great! Good food, loved our server, and excellent drinks! You can’t go wrong at Repeal 33!
Great spot! Amazing food! Good service!! Our party of 6 were well taken care off !
In every way our dinner was perfect. Literally perfect. Highly recommend.
The point of making a reservation is to ensure you get a table in the dining room. We did not and were sat in the high tops by the bar. Too much foot traffic. However, the food was delicious. I will eat there again, I just won’t feel inclined to make a reservation as they do not seem to honor them.
Great experience. Wait staff was very nice. The dry rub wings were outstanding.
We had such a great time. We took clients out for dinner and had our own little section.
Food was great, drinks were flowing, and service was outstanding! Thanks so much!
The charred wings and crispy Brussel sprouts are a must have! The chicken and scallop entrees were very good, as well.
Server had a bit of an attitude and not very cordial! My burger and my daughters steak were not cooked to the requested temperature! Both way under cooked!
We went for our anniversary dinner. We had the 5 course meal with wine pairing. Everything was amazingly delicious and the wine paired with each was perfect. We feel the price was totally appropriate for the experience. Our server was also very attentive and nice. We would go back for sure.
Great experience here. Service was great and a nice atmosphere In restaurant. Ate wings and octopus appetizers and they were delicious. Also had scallops as a meal and enjoyed it!
We had a great experience - halibut special was delicious and craft cocktails were delicious!!! Highlight was the Berry cobbler, fabulous!!! Will definitely be back!!!
Enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner here. Food was perfect. Server was friendly and attentive. Only complaint is the backless stools at the high top tables were uncomfortable. Worth it for the donut dessert though 🤤
Good news - the heightened sanitation means no more printed menus, QR scanning on your smartphone only. Bad news - if your phone doesn't read the scan, you don't see the menu.
So I looked up the menu on Open Table and ordered a cocktail. The cocktail is from an old menu and the new summer menu is not out yet. I spent way too much time discussing what rum drinks they could make.
We both enjoyed our dinners, shrimp and grits, and the steak. Quite tasty.
The atmosphere can best be described as over air-conditioned. We left quickly after we finished eating because we were so cold.
Great menu and venue!
Ordered 2 rib eyes medium. One steak was well done, the other was rare and gristly. They also forgot a potato which came out 1/2 way through the meal. If you charge 36 bucks for a steak, I expect it to at least be cooked as ordered and if not, i shouldn't be paying the full amount. A good restaurant should have good customer service.
Girls trip. Had dinner here for Valentine’s Day with my husband and it was delicious so I had to come back and bring my sisters, it didn’t disappoint. We were seated at first at one of the high boy tables but we were not comfortable. The hostess moved us to the semi private seating which was perfect. We started with the melted ricotta and the charcuterie and that was delicious. For dinner we had the scallops and the ribeye. We left stuffed so next time we will skip the apps and get dessert 😍
great place. friendly and well versed wait staff. good vibrant scene. was a great dinner - brunch is always great as well.
The place was beautiful, the food was good but not great for the prices they get. we got 3 appetizers, 2 meals and 2 drinks and the bill was $200. The wings were very good but must have been from a hummingbird. Perhaps the smallest wings I have ever had. The oysters Rockefeller were great but $18 for 4 oysters I think was over the top. The catch of the day, again was wonderful, the corn chowder was the best I have ever had, but it was not much more than a garnish under the fish. The corn chowder would be a hit if sold as a cup or bowl. The fish again although wonderful, was akin to the hummingbird wings, perhaphs guppy fillet instead of grouper. I am not in any way on a budget, but the prices were not in line with the amount of food plated. The server was very nice but sold me a dessert that she said was like a creme brulee, but was more of a key lime pie. The place was very nice and worth seeing, but next time, I would just have a drink or two.
Highly recommended for food, service and atmosphere!
Cool atmosphere and good drinks. Highly recommend the Brussels!
Our server was great and the food was good, however there was some miscommunication with our food and we waited an awful long time for our meals. We were celebrating a Bachelorette party and ended up spending more time at dinner than we had originally planned, so ran late to another reservation we had. They did offer to remove a round of drinks from the bill but it wasn't enough for the inconvenience. Being in the restaurant business, I understand things happen but with us celebrating a special occasion, I feel more could have been done. We didn't want to cause a scene and had placed to be so we didn't complain, but it was a slightly disappointing experience.
Hard to hear the server, and it didn’t feel that full. Cocktails and food were just ok. Been there, done that, don’t need to go back.
The neighborhood wasn’t that great but not dangerous but when you walked in you were greeted with the hostess and she was fun and set our mood. We had a great time.
The wine selection was small but we found a great bottle of wine. The cheese board was amazing. Steak seemed more choice than prime. I’d give the place an 7.5 out of 10
Everything (literally EVERYTHING) was amazing!!! The food was perfect. The restaurant was beautiful and incredibly cool. And the server was knowledgeable and made all the right recommendations. The gnocchi was seriously the greatest thing I’ve eaten in a long time, and the scallops were almost too beautiful to eat (but I did eat every bite). This place is our new go-to for birthday shenanigans!
I requested my for my burger t be cooked medium and it came out like shoe leather. I requested a Manhattan and requested 1776 bourbon to be substituted, however, our server, Jeff Spicoli, was unaware of what that was, even though there were four bottles displayed behind the bar. Spicoli also brought out what we thought was an Irish coffee, but really was hot chocolate. Perhaps, keeping their staff a little less stoned may of helped.
My girlfriend and I were visiting from Atlanta. We thought we were getting a high end dining experience based on the menu but it’s really just a hipster bar with terrible service. We had a reservation but arrived 30 minutes early. We asked if we could be seated early. The hostess told us she could not accommodate us because she had a large party coming in soon. The place was maybe half full? No problem. We just sat at the bar. We were there approximately an hour and never saw a large party come in. I guess you have to be a local to get the bartenders attention. It took several attempts to get her attention and she barely checked on us. The people next to us seemed to be regulars because she checked on them repeatedly. We had to wave the other guy over to talk to us. We had an ok appetizer and drinks and left to have dinner at another restaurant. Cannot recommend.
