Food was bland and over priced. Service was mediocre for it being practically super slow. Hyped up and a big let down.
Great dinner! Food was awesome and our waiter was very attentive and took care of all our dining needs. We loved the decor inside
What a fantastic find! Really interested prohibition-style bar & restaurant. Bartenders were friendly and engaging. The cocktails were out of this world - I had Jardines de la Abuela and if you LOVE the smoky taste of mescal although it may sound weird with carrot juice get it - it was amazing. Hubs had one of the most delicious old fashions ever. We moved on to the tasting menu which was again, delightful. Beef tartar, sliced sirloin, a fish in the most delicious squash sauce I've ever had and dessert mmmmmmmmm. Highly recommend trying this during your stay. The one negative we will say 100% is their wine list is atrocious - the wine we did try was flat, not corked, but old. Of course, you do not come to a speakeasy for wine and we know that but if you are doing chef tastings with a beverage pairing offering wine - it should be a delicious as everything else. We know the new manager plans on fixing this as we did share this. Skip the wine here for now but enjoy the exquisitely delicious cocktails!
First time we ate at Prohibtion.. it was amazing!! Loved the food and bluegrass music!
Good brunch ! NoT much alcohol in our bloody Mary’s and my over-easy egg was fully cooked but otherwise it was fun and food was good.
We had a wonderful time visiting Prohibition! I even took my 3 teen-aged children, and they loved it.
We love prohibition’s food and drinks. The staff are excellent also. They had a large party in the back room though and they were very loud. Essentially yelling at times and it was very hard having conversation at our table. We were sat at a table right next to them. Hopefully they can do something about accommodating large parties like that.
Such a cool place! Drinks and food were both amazing!
Nice vibe overall. Young loud crowd was somewhat of a distraction. Small menu but enough choice.
Prices on the high side overall, especially with average sized plates
We loved the high top booths by the bar. Server was very accommodating in making sure my cocktail was prepared the way I like it. Food was outstanding in presentation and flavors. The oysters were $1 each during happy hour, a great deal. We loved the atmosphere.
Excellent Sunday brunch with fantastic, live bluegrass duo (guitar and mandolin)! Our party of 7 enjoyed everything we ordered, including stone ground grits, bacon home fries, eggs Benedict, and chicken with biscuits and gravy, among other entrees and side dishes. The service was delightful - professional, yet friendly. Great bloody Mary's, too. Definitely recommend! Will have to try the original Prohibition restaurant in our home town of Charleston.
The food was delicious. It was a little loud but that means it was a lively bar area! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We had a really good dining experience at Prohibition. We were on our way to a concert and the waitress was very attentive in making sure that we received our food in plenty of time. We strted out with the brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were delicious! We both had the rib steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was excellent with just enough char grilled flavor to be distinctive.
We had a fabulous experience!!
Adrianna was our waitress and she was FABULOUS! She knew her menu—food and beverages through and through!! The food and drinks were amazing, balanced and flavorful. We will absolutely be back! Thank you!!
Service was great. Cocktails were fantastic! The gnocchi was super delicious and the burger we had was very good. The shrimp and grits was unfortunately underwhelming with the shrimp being tough and rubbery. Hopefully just an off night for the chef.
It was our first time and we will be going back. Great atmosphere and the food was fantastic! From the Brussel Sprouts to the Blueberry Cobbler it was great. Thanks.
The staff is friendly and helpful. When I asked about a local bourbon style whiskey, my request was met with glee.
My only slight negative is I am personally over smoke and foam.
We went for a girls night out during our time in Savannah. It did not disappoint. We were a party of 7 and were seated in our own booth area. It was intimate but still energetic and part of the cool vibe of the restaurant. Our server was amazing. She had great cocktail suggestions and dinner advice. We had fun celebrating and seeing downtown savannah. Very fun vibe.
A really fantastic restaurant. Food and service were impeccable.
I cannot wait to eat at Prohibition again.
Food was very good, service was pretty good also. Atmosphere was very loud and prices high For the food on the menu
5 Star Food. Complex dishes that were incredibly good and creative. Really enjoyed the experience. Try the Steak Tartar with the homemade chips--outstanding. Tasting Menu was the way to go for a 1st-timer.
Service was exceptional and food was outstanding. Would recommend to all!
My wife and I dined for the first time at Prohibition this last week. we loved so many things about this restaurant. First of all the staff was excellent and everyone of them seemed to really be proud of the restaurant and happy to be working there. Always a good sign. The cocktails were excellent. Strong and flavourful as they should be. Great selection of vintage cocktails. The food was excellent too. Nothing not to like about Prohibition.
Very limited menu but what was on it was good. Good bar and good bar food.
Great food, great service and a really neat atmosphere!
Such a great ambiance and decor. Very cool spot. We went for Sunday brunch and they had great live music.
The food was fantastic: Banana French toast, Brussels sprouts, burger, shrimp and grits, everything was delicious. We
Were there at the end of a bachelorette weekend and they were very accommodating with adjusting our reservation time and put was in a little private booth. Would come back to visit in a heartbeat.
Fun place, good quality varied menu. Great ambiance.
A pleasant location with excellent service, interesting decor, and great food!
Everything was very good, but I thought just a bit on the pricey side. It's a fun atmosphere, great food, we had a great server, and their timing on food delivery was "spot on." But everything was priced just a bit higher than I expected it to be.
We were just passing through and decided to try and we were very glad that we did. We would definitely go back again if we are ever in Savannah again.
We had great, drinks, meal, and service.
Prohibition is an okay place. I'd suggest it more for a quick lunch on the weekend than a nice dinner.
Visiting Savannah from Orlando Fl. And let me say this is one of the best restaurants we dined at. Deviled eggs and Hickory Smoked Beef tartare were extremely tasty. Next we had the octopus (which was cooked to perfection, but needed something. A saucer possibly. The warm potato salad served with it was kinda bland, so I though it was an odd choice to accompany the octopus. The Potato Gnocchi was so good we had to order another one. It’s hand rolled fresh daily. And we also had to bone marrow. Interesting dish, comes topped with Orange marmalade and pickled mustard seeds. The orange marmalade is the most present flavor of the dish. Which was fine. Good dish, would order again. Last and certainly not least was the Seared Divers Scallops. They had to be U/10 or U/15 Scallops. They serve 4 of those cooked to perfection with a beautiful brown crust, with Fideos (Spanish noodle) in saffron cream, with peas, chorizo and chilli threads. ORDER THIS DISH. Mindblowingly good. As for the service it was fantastic. Christine was our server and she was awesome. Big Probs to the Food Runner named Matt. As this gentleman delivered each of our dishes he described each and every one of them so very well. That if we hadn’t ordered them, we would’ve because of his descriptions. He very well spoken and has great table presence. As a GM in the restaurant industry, let me say, he would make a fantastic server.
Service was great- ambiance was great.
We had the deviled eggs which were delicious and the crispy Brussels were amazing!!
Food was great. Service was poor. When I eventually got up to get the waiter as we wanted our check after 30 minutes of not seeing him he actually acted like he didn’t recognize our table and had no idea what we wanted. Very disappointing.
We had a terrific experience at Prohibition. The staff and food were great. One member of our group described the prime rib as, “the best they’ve ever had.” We will return sooner than later.
A good place with limited menu. Food is good but lacks seasoning. Service was great.
Beautiful place. Our waitress, Effie was great. She was very busy but still checked on us, refilled our drinks, and made sure we were okay. Great service!
We definitely recommend the fried okra.
