Nice lunch. We felt safe and welcome at the same time.

Really enjoyed the great selection of the four-course brunch. Excellent good paced service with attention to the presentation, details and special wishes. Couldn’t have been better.
We’ll represent soon !

Awesome service and ambiance

Great brunch. There was a horrid child shrieking in the background, but the staff took all safety precautions and I’ve haven’t had such a smooth hollandaise sauce in forever.

Le manque d’ambiance de la terrasse.
C’etait notre premiere experience sur la terrasse.
Il aurait ete important de mettre de la verdure et des fleurs afin de créer un environnement digne du prix du repas.

Great tasting food! The wine was nice as well. Would recommend to everyone looking for a fancy restaurant.

Not elaborate menu enough for the price .

Service was lagging (not sure if it is because we were seated in the patio). Once we were seated, it took a really long time for someone to take our order, despite we try to wave someone down... Menu selection is really small. Food was ok: Appetizer (foie gras terrine) was average (brioche was excellent, terrine itself is ok, fruit compote/raisin was way too sweet (would be much better if there is a bit of acidity given there is already grapes as well), main was a bit of a mix (Larger than expected portion size for French; The octopus was a bit on the tough side, couscous was very flavorful, and pairing with smoked mussels was a great choice), dessert was refreshing and excellent (I had the lemon cream with dry meringue).

I don’t feel this way often but wow that was a complete waste of money and time. I feel cheated. Despite booking days in advance we were given the very back corner right beside the kitchen in the darkness. Asked to switch because there was an entire section in the front not in use. Apparently all the other tables were reserved. Despite it being sunny the patio was not open. We couldn’t even talk to each other because you could not hear a single thing. The food was AWFUL. It sounded like a good deal but portions were extremely small and terrible tasting. The salmon tartare was just straight up salmon with no seasoning or anything completely inedible. The “fresh salad” was a tiny gross thing of COLESLAW. The “steak” was 70% fat small and gross. The drinks were insanely expensive for terrible quality restaurant like this. Absolutely will never return to this place. Couldn’t even complain because we were directly beside the kitchen and the entire staff was there. I never feel this was but I felt like I just flushed $150 down the toilet. Service was terrible we never got our waters refilled after asking multiple times.

La finesse de la nourriture est au niveau des Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, l'élite de l'art de la cuisine française. Le service est excellent et attentionné. Salle à manger décorée de peintures - on aime ou on n'aime pas. Terrasse trop bruyante car donnant directement sur la rue Sherbrooke. Environnement de grattes-ciel - pas vraiment romantique. Vue nulle.

It was our first time there and we enjoyed our lunch. Impeccable service, good food. Next time we will try the brunch on weekend.

Overall nothing special, the food was average at best, the area lacked ambiance, even though it was a patio. Service was fine, but coasters on drinks should be a standard

Très bonne table, ambiance un peu bruyante en terrasse due à la circulation de la rue, nous aurions aimé que la serveuse nous offre les frites qui ont été servies à d'autres clients par la suite, mais elle nous a affirmé que le menu que nous avions sur papier était le seul pour la soirée. Sinon, tout était excellent (foie gras avec brioche divin, steak fondant, pétoncles délicieuses, et desserts extraordinaires).

A must in Montréal. The suggestion du chef was exceptional.

Situated within the Sofitel Montreal. The place is elegantly designed. Food is decent and service is good. Very quiet as there were only 3 other tables. It is a good place as a last minute resort for dinner or lunch. They seem to have a nice patio but it was raining so no chance. Location good too.

I did not enjoy the food at Renoir. The cold soup tasted funny and the fish dish was light and left my hungry about an hour later. Service was slow and I think there are better places to go to in Montreal.

Bouffe exceptionnelle (gaspacho de tomates puis fletan), bonne carte de vins et service efficace et attentionné. Noté conséquent.

Le Renoir est l’un de plus agréables restaurants de Montréal. L’accueil, le service, la qualité des produits et l’ambiance sont tous des incitatifs à fréquenter ce restaurants. On se sent choyés d’y déguster un repas des plus fins. C’est un « 10 sur 10 ». Si vous désirez impressionner pour un anniversaire ou simplement marquer une belle journée, n’hésitez pas vous ne serez jamais déçus. CCummings

No issues. Good food, ambience, service. Reasonable value. A great oasis downtown.

Excellent service, personnel cordial et attentionné; nourriture... disons... correcte pour ce genre d'établissement; à de tels prix, on s'attendrait à plus d'émotions... Par ailleurs il semble que les critiques concernant les couteaux à viande -- qui font paraître coriace une longe de veau de lait qui fond dans la bouche -- et la dureté des fauteuils en bois sur la terrasse soient nombreuses : il me semble que pour un repas qui coûte la peau des fesses, cette dernière mériterait un peu plus de ménagement...

The service was excellent and the personel proved to be cordial and attentionate. The meals, however, proved to be just ok for a restaurant of this class but came at prices for which more > are expected... Besides, it seems that complaints about the meat knives -- which made a literally melting suckling veal loin feel like a piece of rubber -- and the hardness of the terrace seats are many; it could be said that, given that the meals cost you an arm and a leg, the said arms and legs should in return get some compassion.

Very good food and service as usual. Always a pleasure to dine at Renoir.

Terrace is nice and perfectly adapted to present situation.

Our food was significantly delayed and the food delivered was not what we ordered even after returning the incorrect food earlier.
However, I have never experienced this before at Le Renoir and the price of the bill was adjusted.

Renoir is an excellent ambassador for Quebec's terroir cuisine. The ambience is great and there is always authentic dscovery to be made in their regularly updated menu.
