A very enjoyable lunch for our belated anniversary.
We celebrated our anniversary at Renees. We sat on their beautiful patio. We had outstanding food and very good service.
The food and service is always great at renes.
I’ve been going there for decades!
Had a great experience at Rene. Suggested an Arizona red wine that was fantastic. The filet and French onion soup was amazing.
Always a classic place to eat in Sedona and it didn't disappoint . Great food, ambiance, and a good wine list with good bargains. We come to Sedona every year and we will be back again.....even though they couldn't procure the duck!
Amazing French Restaurant in Sedona. Highly Recommend.
What an incredible dining experience! The ambiance was delightful on the patio. Our service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious! We had escargot for an appetizer. I had the scallops and my boy friend had the salmon. We will be back!
It was a great day and the dinner was perfect after a day of hiking.
We met here to celebrate my granddaughter’s engagement. We liked the relaxed ambiance. Per Covid there was 3 in our party and we were seated at least 8-10 feet from the other two tables. The food was delicious, wine pairing thoughtful. Service was well-timed and friendly.
Briana was great! Try the mushroom stuffed with lobster, so yummy! Next go for the arugula pear salad then top off with the lamb chops. For the finale a must have is the table side prep bananas foster. We ate in the courtyard and it was so quiet and a great date nite atmosphere. You can’t go wrong at Rene’s
Overpriced. Old-school. Need to get with current times. Slow service.
Wonderful food and ambiance
Fabulous food and service. I love the courtyard dining area. We felt like we were in a beautiful cafe in Paris. Great dinner!
Tony, our server, was very attentive and helpful, but not intrusive. Servings were generous and well-presented. Very pleasant celebration of our anniversary.
The food and service were excellent and the restaurant is in a lovely location. The mushroom bisque, escargot, duck, lamb and passion fruit panna cotta were all killer. Best food and ambiance in a long time. We'll definitely be back when we're in Sedona.
This is our favorite spot in Sedona. We're locals, we've lived here for about a year. We've eaten here tons of times and keep coming back. The staff is fantastic (special shout out to Tony, who is the reason we went back so many times to start). The service is wonderful. The food is consistently excellent. We in particular love the Roasted Duck (all the sides are perfect as well). It's out of this world (and we've had duck in some of the most well-known cities/popular/famous restaurants in the world). Second on our list is the Colorado Rack of Lamb. My partner doesn't like lamb, but she LOVES it here :) Appetizers... we haven't tried much but we love the Ahi Tartar. The Ahi Salad is fantastic. As is the Pear and Blue Cheese Salad. With this restaurant, I feel like you really can't go wrong. Desserts... The Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée and the Flourless Chocolate Cake are our favorites. We are regulars here (obviously) and we feel so welcomed and appreciated here. Wonderful people, excellent location, excellent food, beautiful ambiance (we celebrated our engagement here and we were delighted by a table decorated with rose petals). To us, of the fantastic restaurants in Sedona for fine dining, we recommend Rene 100%.
The food was truly outstanding. One hidden spot in Sedona.
After reading the great reviews on this restaurant, I think we must have walked into the wrong one. Or maybe the restaurant was having an off night. Either way, the evening spent at this restaurant was excruciatingly painful. Service was painfully slow and disappeared for what seemed like eons. This was the only restaurant we went to while visiting Sedona where they blamed Covid for not having a full menu available. I think the server should have started with what was available rather than going through a long list of what was not. This is the first time EVER where our martinis were served in old fashioned glasses as, you guessed it, Covid was preventing the restaurant from replacing its glassware. Not once did the server or manager stop by the table after our food was served to check on us. We needed to flag down the server each time. The eggplant parmigiana was drenched in mozzarella cheese. Once you shoveled through the cheese, the eggplant was tasteless. The roast duck was just ok. The other dinners were forgettable as we truly don’t remember what they were. There are so many other great restaurants in Sedona. You would be welled served to look elsewhere.
Rene is absolutely my favorite special restaurant in Sedona where I reside full time. I’ve had the same waiter for many visits and he has always been impeccable. My last visit had been in January before Covid so I was very happy to feel safe enough with the clear observation by all to safety protocols to celebrate an important birthday properly.
Excellent choice for relaxation and lunch in Sedona.
Wonderful setting but food was average. Service was very good.
Rene was delightful. Paul took excellent care of us. Food was devine. Our favorite restaurant in Sedona this trip
It was perfect from ambience to food to service.
One of the best restaurants and dinners we have enjoyed. Fantastic location, service was exceptional, the wine list is impressive and the food was extraordinary. Our server, Brianna was wonderful. The escargot and scallops were perfectly prepared and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back
Amazing food, service and ambiance. The courtyard seating is beautiful and relaxing. A must-do restaurant while in Sedona!
We had a really enjoyable lunch. Several things looked really good on the menu and the server helped guide us. Service and food were both outstanding. The restaurant itself is a little dated but We will be back for another lunch and definitely visit for dinner.
Amazingly well made food. Great well informed service. 👌🏼
Exceptional evening. Amazing food, impeccable service. Will absolutely be back.
I would have liked to have this restaurant be 5 stars, but it fell short. The food we had was excellent, however, two items we wanted on the menu were unavailable. Service was very slow. Very slow. We spent over two hours at this restaurant and it would have been longer still except Bob tracked down the waiter, told him our dessert order, and requested he bring the check with it. We sat in the patio area which was nice and quiet, pleasant to be outdoors, but ignored by the staff. Waiter never asked if we needed anything more or refilled our glasses. Bread came out 15 minutes after requested - one small roll per person, which was good but no more. Long waits between appetizer, entree and dessert. This is not acceptable service at these high prices, especially when the restaurant was not full.
Everything was better than we’d hoped for our Anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Paul, was a pure professional, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Every recommendation he made for us was spot on. Each course was delicious and was served spaced nicely so we didn’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. Our only regret is that the restaurant is too far away for us to make this a regular dining experience. I would recommend Rene to anyone who wanted a great meal, a great experience and wonderful service.
We enjoyed a vacation dinner at Rene. Would recommend.
Service was great. Food was OK.
Cool, old school fine dining experience. Service is excellent. Food is decent, nothing too outrageously great, except their carrot cake is wonderful.
My wife and I enjoyed the fine dining on the patio at René at Tlaquepaque on a pleasant early October evening. The lobster salad appetizer was delicious. Our service by Lily was satisfactory but she had a large wedding party to attend to also. I enjoyed the portobello bisque soup and the chicken piccata which was delicious. My wife and I both enjoyed the mushroom strudel as she shared some of this entrée with me. In all, it was a very pleasant evening because of the ambience of the outside patio and the delicious food at this restaurant.
Food was very bland, and they were out of several items. Meals were delivered with a large delay between the members in our party.
Best meal we had in Sedona. Highly recommend the ahi salad.
We had a wonderful evening. We sat outside in a well spaced area. We miss the venison though!
Old school dining with tableside service. The duck was great but the bananas foster was even better.
Nice place but the interior is dated and appears a bit shabby. Food was ok but nothing special. Would not return, since there are many better places around.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the experience was fantastic. Our waiter made helped to make it a magical evening. We will be back.
