Just delightful. Superb food, drinks and service.
Finest dining experience in 5 years. Quality of food and service is at least 5 stars. If you like fresh ingredients (guacamole, Jamon Iberica, Tomahawk Rib Eye) with a South American truth, this is the place for you.
Have been three times. First was best. Allowed 1/2 portions of the family style dishes, favs beans has amazing sauce, smoked chicken had great skin, flavor and juice. Second time was a Monday and chicken seemed held for a while, not same skin, on the dry side. This time tried the brisket, was not fall apart soft, flavor was good but not equal to the price. Beans no longer have the sauce and were unremarkable. A shame to see the sharp decline in quality and consistency from over three visites in about 6 weeks.
Food was amazing. The staff really know the menu and we felt taken care of the whole time! I don’t think my glass was ever empty. Really fun atmosphere too, and super classy yet laid back. I’d love to bring a group here!
Renata's Hearth is an excellent restaurant whose excellence is elevated by the level of service provided. Our server's level of knowledge made our dining experience much better than it would have been. At the same time, we were placed in an alcove that lessened the experience. We were seated before sunset and our view outdoors was of the last kids playing at one of the Biltmore's swimming pools. It wasn't ideal and it wasn't consistent with our dining experience. After dark, it was fine but before, it really was less than ideal and certainly not commensurate to the food or the restaurant's pricing. To add to the level of frustration, we were surrounded by guest who were in shorts, tee shirts and flip flops which isn't what you'd expect at a 5 star restaurant. I think that the Biltmore would be well served to establish a dress code for Renata's or change it from a dining experience to a different style restaurant. Just like your rating includes several different attributes (food, value, service...) so to should the Biltmore consider all factors if they are attempting to establish this restaurant as elegant and excellent. It failed to meet that standard but the service did not. It was great. So too was the food quality. Those are critical components of the experience but not the only ones. There is work to be done but it's a great start and a great addition. We hope it fulfills its promise. That's up to The Biltmore.
Los Muertos drink is to die for. It is iconic and you will love it!
Delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and fabulous service!!!
Great night, great experience! Very nice staff, would highly recommend!
We had an absolutely perfect business dinner in one of the comfy booths. It was fun to see the new redo of the Biltmore and most especially the fine dining room. Renata's is upscale, modern, and filled with surprises: a shot of orange liquor to greet us as we arrive, an unexpected Vermouth tasting, a fava bean and mushroom sauté that was beyond delicious. We ordered three appetizers and shared all family style. Each was delicious-the charcuterie board with a Spanish twist was out of this world. Sharing was so much fun that we shared the entrees; New York, Branzino, and Sea Bass. The fish was prepared flawlessly. Then we ordered one of each dessert and again, shared, with our guests. We have spent several decades going to the Biltmore for all our important family occasions; annual Easter brunch, Christmas Tree Lightings, Baptisms, 80th Birthday celebrations, the list goes on. It was fabulous to experience Renata's Hearth-a wonderful new chapter in the historic Biltmore but with more fun and energy and edginess! Our multiple servers were talented, friendly and very excited to share their ground breaking culinary offerings. It was a pleasure to learn about the Spanish influenced cuisine. A memorable 4 hour dining event! PS: You have to try the food and cocktails in the refreshed lobby bar---and be sure to ask for Tyson as your server.
The dining experience was outstanding from beginning to end. I highly recommend Renata’s Hearth.
I think that Renata's has managed to topple my reigning favorite restaurant in Phoenix. After a decade of phenomenal meals at Wright's, which had become a second home to me, I was anxious about trying the reconceptualized flagship restaurant at the Biltmore. The food was novel and exquisite, and the service from Jackie was excellent. I am excited to returning times, to savor the rest of the menu.
Upscale, eclectic, and unique! The cocktails were excellent and the quality of food was top-notch. We can't wait to return!
Lovely and fresh food and very accommodating and attentive staff!
What a beautiful addition to the Phoenix restaurant scene! There is truly no place like this in the city…between the cuisine, the design, and the service my family was in awe of this dining experience! We highly recommend the patio!
Wagyu steak was mediocre, no better than outback. Very disappointed.
GM is superb. Really looks after everything.
The sommelier was wonderful and found us what we wanted, though not on the menu. The food was exquisite. Fist time there but we will be back!
This is a real gem - glad we found this on Open Table - what a great experience. Will definitely come back.
Loved my it but wish actual Latin music was played
I happened to notice Renata's Hearth as "New" on Open Table. I was intrigued with the description "Ancient Latin Fire, Modern Latin Cuisine". My date and I enjoyed a wonderful and memorable meal. Our captain was Ivan and he was extremely attentive, informative and engaging. Having had him describe most of the menu items we were undecided on what to order. Our solution? We had Ivan select our menu. We thought that would be fun and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The meal was delicious. Among the items he presented to us were Watermelon Salad, Charred Octopus, Jidori Chicken and our two favorites Renata's Street Tacos and Renata's Churros. There are many menu items we want to try and we certainly will be back. Hopefully Ivan will be our server again.
Food was ok Just not for us. Place is very dark but pool area was very nice
Food is amazing! Great selection of drinks. Beautiful place.
Excellent food. Wonderful presentation. Great service!
New favorite restaurant in town. Flavorful menu options.
We dined here for our first time for my husbands birthday. It seemed that we had two different menus with two different prices on everything. Maybe I had an old menu although the place is pretty new, my drink said $18 on my menu and $20 on his. Everything was really good as far as service and food preparation. The value in my opinion is a stretch. $15 for a watermelon salad with 4 cubes of watermelon is a little ridiculous. The portions are very small. I still give it five stars, it was a great experience but I think the prices need to go down or portion size should go up.
Great ambiance and the best meal I have had in sometime. Service was good and waiter helpful. The food selections good and preparation outstanding! Will most definitely be returning.
Everything was excellent. My only complaint is that the table is too small for all the food.
Loved the restaurant! It was intimate, beautiful and the food and service was great. Our waiter Zach was personable, friendly and open to answering our questions about the menu.
I can't wait to go back and take my husband & friends
For the price offering of the entrees, they should be outstanding and spot on, hopefully they will get there. The service was amazing from timing, to deliver great description on dishes!
Great place for tasting their cocktails and appetizers. The overall experience was above any expectation.
Great new restaurant with delicious food, good wine list and creative cocktails.
Amazing food and service in the beautiful Biltmore setting!
Very convenient as we live across the street. A nice place to eat.
The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent. From when we stepped into the restaurant, until we left the building it was an experience. I will definitely be returning here more often
We really enjoyed our meal at Renatas at the Biltmore.
The food was Great - very flavorful. The service was great.
Definitely one to try if you haven't already.
This was a great experience! The staff was friendly and the service was very good. Good was wonderful with beautiful presentation while not pretentious!! The Spanish flair to very great entrees. Loved the Maven of Cocktails and Master of Guacamole!
Wonderful and well done !
Alan, our sever, was stellar. I had a gripe about the brisket (serving a really, really fatty point portion rather than the flat). Flavors were on point but the quality of the cut wasn’t on par with the quality level this restaurant was presenting. It was damn delicious but texturally off putting. I am a BBQ nut who has smoke hundreds of pounds of brisket. That said, this place is worthy of 5 stars for the food, cocktails and especially the service. Alan handled my complaint masterfully. I will be back.
We had a wonderful experience at the new Renatas Hearth. Service was especially welcoming and so warm, not pretentious. The appetizers and entrees we perfectly cooked. I loved that the seasoning came from the smoke, rather than heavy sauces. Exceptional experience for the value.
Renata’s is a special, new restaurant. Delicious, Latin-inspired cuisine, with each dish presented in a colorful way. The guacamole is among the best I’ve had, and the Chilean sea bass was expertly prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed but refined, great for a family gathering or a special date night.
Stayed at the Biltmore for 3 nights and had dinner here as we checked out. What an amazing way to end the trip. The food was truly incredible. The ceviche was probably the best I've ever had, and the sharable options for the main courses are a seriously good value. We got the wagyu brisket, and again, probably the best brisket I've ever had. Had a mojito which was also incredible and I can't forget the smoked bread pudding. I will absolutely make this place a must see whenever I'm back in town.
