    We have eaten here many times and had wonderful experiences but the food has progressively gotten worse. Everything we had from the salsa and chips to the tomahawk and lobster was disappointing. The chips and salsa lacked flavor, the lobster was dry and the flavor was overwhelmed by smoke, and the steak was too charred and flavorless. We were hoping it had returned to the quality and flavors it had soon after opening but that was not the case.

    It was our second visit. We shared the burratta salad which was great. We also shared the Wagyu brisket with jasmine rice. Although the restaurant was quiet, it took a long time for our entree and the rice was cold. We felt the brisket was underwhelming. It didn’t taste like any Wagyu we’ve had and it was dry. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t go back.

    Renata’s Hearth restaurant is definitely one of the very best that we’ve been to in the Phoenix area. This place serves up some very inventive food that’s also beautiful to look at. Every bite was a taste delight. The service is extremely polished, knowledgeable, and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

    Great customer service. The food was very good. But your prices are just way too expensive. If it weren’t for being invited, I would not have been able to go. Just a thought to be a bit more reasonable so that everyone can enjoy the experience rather than just those with lots of money.

    Overall a okay meal. But it was not running at the top of its game. One of the entrees came out almost cold. And a starter starring heirloom tomatoes had sub-par (not fully ripe and tasteless) tomatoes that should have been triaged into the salsa pile, not put on a plate for customers.

    The food was outstanding and the menu was interesting. That said we were celebrating our anniversary and we felt the tables were packed together and it made it loud and noisy. We literally could hear the conversations of the couples on either side of us. It neither felt romantic or special like one would expect for a special dinner. We had a reservation arrived early and were seated well after our reservation time. We skipped desert because frankly we were ready to get out of there. Even though the food was excellent we will not be going back. It did seem like some areas of the restaurant were spaced out normally we may have drawn the short stick where we were seated. Note i did specify on our reservation we were celebrating our 43rd anniversary. The hotel and the grounds are spectacular. We have stayed there before and usually eat at the Wrigley Mansion. That would be my recommendation for those looking for a special evening.

    Very good service, ambience , and food quality. Drinks were very good and Sangria was excellent. The historic hotel and restaurant is excellent. The brisket was exceptionally tender and delicious as well as the Sea Bass. Churro desert with Caramel Ice Cream was superb.

    Loud enough to negatively influence our dining experience. Servers professional but cleanly rushed and overloaded. The brisket was excellent. The fava beans and mushrooms side item was so heavily salted it wasn't edible. Finally this is a very expensive place to dine ($24 old fashioned).

    Overall happy with the meal. Good service, nice ambiance and great starter. On the negative - the brisket, which was probably very good, was served luke warm which made it fatty. We also never got the salad we ordered. Probably just an off night.

    Our first time here. We had the octopus which was very tender and delicious. We shared the Branzino which was prepared perfectly, house made tortillas and great fresh salsa. It was noisy, sound travels. We will return.

    Our server Charra was lovely. Attentive, friendly & welcoming. Patio was beautiful & we have eaten here about 8 times now so clearly we love it. We started with the octopus and the shrimp fundido.  The octopus is something we order frequently and it’s usually terrific -but tonight it was not grilled enough- cold in the center. Still tasty however. Tim was 100% right in his recommendation The new steak preparation was nothing short of amazing. We were die hard gaucho steak fans so we were sad to see it gone but the New York strip was incredible. Perfect! We opted out of dessert because our two favorites were gone & we were really full from that wonderful steak. Only wish is to please, please bring back the tres leches cake -it’s that good. Thank you for a wonderful evening & dining experience. We love Renata’s Hearth!

    Everything was lovely. The only exception was the steak and rice we waiting quite awhile for was barely room temperature. Not acceptable for a $135.00 steak

    Located in the historic and very modern old money vibe Arizona Biltmore is the flare for rose seductive Latin flair, Renata. Go big celebration milestone birthday limo and gold LV. 6 very accomplished and self satisfied ladies! The signature blood red smoked El Matador with rose petal garnish and black salt rim is a MUST twice even if staying the night! It is our now signature power drink. Very beautiful and presented beautifully! The ceviche include sliced yellow tail or sea bass and crab both a fresh but well acidified and spiced appetizer with amazingly seasoned chips. The watermelon salad makes the sweet hearts of watermelon the expected stars. The favorite was the octopus which was charred but soft and tasty! Main meal included the tomohawk and lobster as street taco for the table feeds a bite for 2-6 and is nice to shared! The sauces add unique self design. The meat is tender and medium rare blackens the exterior but keeps the inside pink and juicy. The scallops and prawns also shareable for the table on a bed of partly crisped vermicelli that held flavor in the shrimp heads well but left the bed under seasoned and a little too try having crisped. Dessert enjoyed rich filling bites of the chocolate Kalua cake and the crème brûlée. The menu on line is not as descriptive but the stars are the appetizers we would eat out way through as tapas to share! Afterwards walk the premise and even on a Sunday the outside bar is sophisticated wealth and upscale vibe for proud pleasure! Enjoy the trip through beauty!

    I am an avid foodie. I also have over ten years of experience working in restaurants. I really looked forward to going to Renata’s for my birthday. I was surprised to find the service lackluster, the food mediocre and the ambience, while beautiful, lacking in functionality. The lowlights of the meal included a wobbly table, forgotten chicharrones, a mule cocktail not served in a copper cup, a curdled crème brûlée and crispy polenta that was recommended and then not available after our order was placed. In general, the dining experience lacked attention to detail and at the price point of the restaurant, it was shocking to see the level of apathy applied during our meal. I don’t believe I will return. It’s a shame because the grounds are beautiful.
