Overall, this was a great dinner and it’s wonderful to have a restaurant of this caliber in Mequon. The evening started out a little rocky when I ordered a martini and asked for the dirty ice on the side. The young bartender served the Martin on the rocks and I explained that I wanted dirty ice meaning the ice that was used in the shaker in a separate glass. While I was explaining this to him, another tender came over and very sternly Informed me that when you order something dirty ice, it means on the rocks. I’ve been drinking martinis for 50 years and I bartended my way through college so I was not happy to be lectured in this way. Otherwise we had a great evening with very good food and excellent service. The ambience is really great, but it is a very loud restaurant. Next time we’ll sit outside. My only other suggestion would be to put salt and pepper shakers on the table because the food is,in general, lightly seasoned.

The service was excellent—our server was warm, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also a highlight: inviting, stylish, and comfortable. Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. While everything was presented nicely, each dish we tried lacked flavor and came across as surprisingly bland. Asking for pepper at the table was not enough to save our meals. We truly appreciated the hospitality and ambiance, but we hope the kitchen finds a way to elevate the flavors to match the quality of the service and setting.

Disappointed. Our fourth visit to Renard's which, unfortunately, was a let down. The dining room was full impacting our service although is was a Friday night. The artichoke appetizer was very good. However, the mushroom ravioli had an unusual taste to it and the lamb was over done and grisly. The pizza was tasty! We won't order the same food next time but may delay our return.

Excellent from start to finish. Super attentive service. Ordered the foccacia for a starter. Freshly baked and served with olive oil and garlic confit. Mushroom ravioli was divine and the shrimp served on the side for me was jumbo amd perfectly grilled. Caesar salad was one of the best I have ever had. Let's hope this quality remains. We will be back. Also, very fairly priced and decent portions.

my husband and I struggled to find anything in the area to go have a great meal and great relaxing atmosphere. The food here is well thought out , well balanced, and excellent quality. The Chef really knows what he's doing and you can tell he has pure passion for food. We have traveled all over the world and we are from a big city and some of the dishes are the best we've ever eaten. Fresh ingredienrs always . Keep doing what you're doing. Please do not close and please maybe open on Sundays !!! This is a five star restaurant.
