Renaissance Harlem
Was very underwhelming. Heard good things about this place from friends who went, so we tried it for Harlem Restaurant week and we had both - special menu and ordered things off the regular menu. All dishes were very lackluster with not much flavor and/or overcooked. Service was also very meh. What could have a been a cute neighborhood good quality restaurant just didn't live up to our expectations, sadly.
I loved the food, not the usual brunch. I had lobster hash, two plumb claws. the waitress was mindful of our needs.
Good service. At the end of the dinner, staff helped me to get a taxi. Very thoughful
I really had high expectations for the restaurant, but it’s started going down hill real fast. They were listed as a participant in Harlem Restaurant week, but upon being seated was never I offered that pre fixe menu. Took them almost 10 minutes bring us the menu.
The specialty cocktails were a bit pricey, but were actually very good. My friend ordered a glass of white wine, the glass had spots and had a debris in it.
I ordered the salmon which was overcooked and had to sent back. The carrot ginger soup was rich in texture, but had a bit too much ginger.
The cheesecake was a winner and a must have.
I think it was tacky to add the 20% gratuity unto the check for a party of 3ppl.
Staff were great and we enjoyed the food.
Fabulous food, great, attentive service, wonderful staff. Will definitely return!
Renaissance Harlem is a wonderful place to have a French/Seafood dinner for a great price. We had seafood risotto, codfish fritters, branzino and short ribs. Everything was outstanding. For dessert, mango sorbet and herbal tea. The service staff are friendly and eagerly engage with you in french. This restaurant is centrally located on 132nd and Adam Clayton Powell (7th Ave).
There was an amazing singer performing Tuesday who sounded wonderfully. The food and service were enjoyable as well.

Waiter and staff were very nice. However apps and mains took a very long time to come out. One guest’s cold entre was served many minutes after the hot entres. Some dishes were good (striped bass) and some were below average. Lobster BLT was mostly fries. Maybe just an off night in the kitchen.
Food was good.
Really enjoyed my first experience at Renaissance Harlem. Lately I’ve been feeling like the restaurants and dining scene in Harlem has been going downhill in quality and service than years prior, but Renaissance Harlem proved me wrong. Great service and food from end to end. I’ll definitely be returning and this may just be my new favorite spot in the neighborhood.
The help was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was excellent.
Fantastic food and service in a beautiful space. Will go back for sure!
Good food and vibes. Attentive management, they served my friends and I dessert on the house! Will definitely be back.
Great food. Great service. Really nice restaurant
We went for a Saturday brunch at noon.
The comfy dining room was well lit and warm the music ,just right
The food was very good and we will go again
The food was AMAZING!!!! the drinks were superb! Great conversation with staff. I can't spell the name, so I don't want to butcher it. Very nice conversation with staff member from South Africa. Also, the owner gave us complimentary dessert after great conversation. A beautiful relaxed atmosphere, yet still classy and sexy for a romantic date. I HIGHLY recommend, and I will be returning
Although a small group of us went to Brunch on a Saturday morning, the attention and service throughout was world-class. The vibe of the restaurant was hip and classy with a very cozy vibe.
The food was well presented, generous portions but most importantly it was delicious. I hope to return to this restaurant at another time to enjoy dinner.
Great for breakfast. Clean, quiet and good food.
Wonderful Christmas fixed price dinner! Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu sometime.
Went for Christmas Eve. Fixed menu for 65 PP. Drumsticks for app, salmon for entree, Chocolate mousse for dessert. Seemed expensive for the menu. Food was generally good. Mousse, just ok.
Our experience at Renaissance Harlem was fantastic! My family enjoyed a holiday brunch together on a Saturday morning. We had excellent service, from the host to the bartender and waiter, and were not rushed through any part of our meal. The food was fabulous and we had a wonderful morning. Thank you!
Good idea, terrible execution. The ambiance is nice, a couple of my friends and I got together for a later dinner. The food wasn’t that satisfying. The service is okay.. the people are nice.
The restaurant did not open and did not let us in.
This is a nice restaurant. The food is very good. I had an excellent carrot a rare attribute in New York restaurants.
This place had a great menu selection, decent prices and high quality food. Service was very attentive and they helped me celebrate my birthday! Great experience.
Well put together menu and drink selection. Food was seasoned perfectly. Not too busy so good for conversation and the music wasn’t too loud.
Outstanding customer service and very good food.
Loved everything! Friendly and attentive service. Great menu low key atmosphere.
Love this place! Great food and the ambiance is great. It’s intimate and has good vibes. Great date spot.
Perfect Saturday brunch spot
This was overall a good place with service and food.
It did not help that there was construction outside the restaurant as they were closing up the outside for winter seating.
The food was a bit salty but overall we enjoyed it.
I had a great experience here celebrating my 40th bday. They were very kind as I was regrettably almost an hour late arriving to my guests! I do appreciate their professional service and the food was beyond excellent! I will definitely be back for date night family dinners and beyond! Welcome to Harlem!
It was brunch and it was amazing
I always love this place, great food, good service and easy, no drama and just consistent
We were the only ones in the entire restaurant who didn't get the complementary bread to start. Very good food. We'll probably come back to try other dishes
Food was delicious and the service was fine. Wine isn’t that great and the noice level was pretty high. Not because of the music but because of people.
Loved finding this gem in our neighborhood. We had a fabulous dinner with incredibly attentive service ! I definitely recommend for a casual meal or a special occasion.
I welcomed this neighborhood gem when the restaurant first opened. I hosted many business lunches here. The waitstaff and bartenders are exceptional in service! It would be nice to have the same relationship with the owner as well.
It could be a nice place to go but it was empty when we were there. This might be a good thing for some, but we were expecting a little bit of Harlem hip. Perhaps at a different time.
