I went for the lobster deviled eggs, and they were nothing to rave about. The crab cake was good. Food and service were both fine - just not memorable. There are too many other great spots to eat at in Chicago.

I would recommend sitting inside on a busy night/day. It’s relatively loud with street noise and passersby outside. Our waiter was fantastic and the food was pretty good with well managed portion size.

Great surprise! Was looking for a convenient place to dine prior to concert and near parking. Searched OpenTable and was happy to find Remington's. First time visit but will be back again! Ximena was fantastic. Very attentive and thoughtful. Each member of our party of 4 was very happy and complimentary of our food, drinks, atmosphere and location. Thank you!

We had a perfect lunch here sitting out on the patio. Oysters and crab toast were so delicious. Purple rain drink was great and especially good for sitting outside on a nice day. My husband loved his roast chicken. Key lime pie was very good as well. Service was great. Would definitely recommend.

My friend and I ordered steak salads. To my surprise, the lettuce portion was small to balance the portion of steak. I asked for a roll and was told they do not do bread service. For a $24 salad, I think I should be able to get a roll? After discussion, I asked for a hamburger bun. Well, that had to be approved by the chef and it was an extra cost. I was told it is a management decision not to do bread. I think the customer should make that call.

Service was excellent with at the ready recommendations and prompt attendance when needed. Food servings generous and good overall, tho pancakes (out of four entrees) were a “bit dry”. The validation for local parking contributed to the high value proposition, tho I found the 3% “processing fee” aggravating (and fought back with “only” 15% tip (on the with tax total—why did that become the new norm?)

Remingtons was great! It’s in a perfect location for a quick lunch in between activities. We were able to eat and head across the street to millennium park to see the cloud gate (silver bean). The food was great. Service was too. Definitely recommend stopping in.

I was there a week ago and liked it enough that I took some other friends and my wife there. They all had meals they liked and made comments like "Why haven't been here before?". My wife asked for rare prime rib and said it was near perfectly rare. The others had sandwiches which made me want to come back for them. I had the steak tar tar again, still good. Instead of a steak, I had the crab cakes. The cakes themselves were good, although they could have used some Old Bay. The remoulade was bland and looked/tasted like a tartar sauce. Bland. Remoulade should have a complimentary spice flavor to whatever it's served with. That said, this has been my only complaint in two visits. As with the first time, our waiter was fun and spot on with the martinis.

Our dinner was very good, we started with wedge salad, it's big enough to share. My Sixty Two Salmon was perfectly prepared and I was able to switch out asparagus for mashed potatoes. Hubby had prime rib, cooked to rare, his preference. The lobster deviled eggs are awesome, I could easily have had another serving. The waiter treated us to an ice cream sundae for our anniversary which was very nice (we had passed on dessert.)

We made reservations for a friend's anniversary. We are from the Detroit area and wanted to have a nice dinner while in Chicago. This place was great. The service was wonderful from when we first entered and throughout. The food and drinks were great. The prices for the food and location were good. I would definitely go back.

Remington’s is a hidden gem on Michigan Avenue. I say hidden because you can have a wonderful, intimate meal with excellent food and service while dining right across the street from Millennium Park. I have enjoyed each dining experience at Remingtons and will continue to choose this lovely restaurant.

We have eaten here frequently and have always have had a good meal. The wait staff is attentive but not overly so. Our meals have been leisurely and not hurried by the staff. We have recommended it to friends.

Since the restaurant touts to be "Traditional steakhouse" we ordered a new york strip steak with the baked potato. The steak was one of the most unappetizing dishes I have ever seen and smelled. It was presented with a massive blob of fat on top of haf of the steak, it was all pink but with a dark misshapen edge. When we cut through it smelled rancid and we lost our appetite. One of the steaks was comped but we still walked away paying $100+ (with tip) for the mediocre backed potato we ate and one appetizer. Service: Manager told us it was the lighting of the restaurant and server was apologetic. Overall would never return, or recommend.

I had another great experience at Remington’s!! Our server, Chloe was great and let us know about the 4 Star Rewards program, which I gladly joined. Remington’s has become one of my favorite restaurants to dine for lunch and/or dinner!
