Remi Ratings and Reviews
Went to Remi for a pre theater dinner. The service was excellent - they made sure we were finished with more than enough time to get to the theater. The food was also very good. The fresh pasta was excellent and we also enjoyed our salads and the polenta with mushrooms. Will go again on our next theater visit.
Remi has always been one of our favorites whenever we come to NY. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and all around it’s just a fun place to go. If you are headed to a play, they always accommodate your time, or dinner can last as long as you like for it to.
We booked Remi for our anniversary dinner through open table. I did click on the anniversary button on open table but did not expect anything. After being seated, we were served Prosecco on the house to celebrate our special occasion. Superb touch which preceded an excellent dinner. Overall, a very memorable night.
Recommendation from a friend who lives in NY. We just saw Hamilton and we were on a high. Rely was the perfect conclusion to our day. The food and service were exquisite. I would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone looking for an elegant dining experience with terrific food.
This was my first visit to Remi but I am sure I will go again. I'm not sure how I missed this pre-theater option for so long--perhaps because the streetscape is so modest, with a dark blue awning and small "Remi" printed on it. The menu is Venetian, and includes specialties of the region such as risotto and calves liver. But there is a wide range of pasta and entrees. I had spaghetti carbonara, a special that night, which was very good, if a little too rich to finish! We did not have time for dessert, but were brought a lovely plate of Italian cookies gratis. There is a full bar, with a special menu of amusing martinis.
Food was fresh ,with excellent flavor and beautifully presented , Lively , busy restaurant with mix of locals , business people and tourists. Able to enjoy dinner conversation without having to yell. Took a friend who is an occasional vegetarian , and she was able to find options on the menu without a big fuss. Would definitely dine at Remi again !
This was my second time at Remi. I think the restaurant is beautiful and the food is amazing. The bread basket is sinful. I had the Garganelli Pasta with shrimp and zucchini. My husband had the linguini with clams. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. Look forward to going back!!
We had reservations for after theater. We arrived a little late but was greeted graciously. Although it appeared the evening crowd had disssappeared, the staff gave us their full attention without rushing us. They even offered complimtary champagne! Well done Remi staff
Went for dinner before concert. Ordered from Restaurant Week menu, which seemed ordinary. Perhaps I ordered wrong, but food lacked taste. Had to ask buss boy to catch my waiter. Dessert was cold, creme brulee. Coffee was served first, and cup was difficult to hold due to design.
I went with friends for "NY Restaurant Week" and thought the menu choices were quite good and portions ample where in other years I've been disappointed because some restaurants serve very small portions for Restaurant Week. Only two complaints: (1) the "sparkling" water charge was very over-priced and(2) the soup I ordered, while tasty, wasn't very hot, but since my dining mates were eating cold appetizers, I didn't take the time to ask the waiter to re-heat it, but it was VERY underheated, which the kitchen should've known when they sent it out.
Went because the website said they participated in Restaurant week. When we arrived we were given the regular menus. No mention of Restaurant week or the menu. We were left unattended at our table for a good 20 minutes before we could get a waiter to find the restaurant week menu which was from “2017”, so clearly was a hold over from last year. The food offered for restaurant week was a weak assortment of stale oldies. Food was servicable but definitely not remarkable. Service was inattentive.
Would not recommend.
Seated promptly even with large groups coming at same time. It was Restaurant Week and two of our party chose from that prix fixe menu. We were a bit overwhelmed by the complex menu full of delicious looking items. We did not feel stinted and the kitchen responded well given the crowded conditions. Service was impeccable, attentive but not intrusive. Quality of food was excellent for each of us. Extensive wine choices and our server was discreetly helpful in our choice, which turned out to be excellent. Worth a repeat visit.
First time to Remi - now favorite mid-town Italian place to dine. Service could not have been better. No rushing but prompt attention to every ask. Solid wine list - we followed recommendations and were very happy. Late dinner - salad and appetizer (scallops) was unique ( presentation and taste). No complaints by anyone at our table. We ranked it a 10 out of 10!
Remi is fabulous! Great service and wonderful food! We were greeted and seated immediately at a lovely table and then our server brought us each a glass of champagne on the house! What a nice touch. There were four of us and we each ordered a house salad. The waiter was kind enough to let us know the salads were very large and that we could split them. He was right. The salads we got were still very large, very fresh, and dressed perfectly! One of us had the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon served over risotto . It was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Two of us had a special. Homemade pasta wrapped around an Italian specialty him baked with a cheese sauce and dollops of Bolognese sauce on top. I can’t begin to say how delicious it was! I have been thinking about it ever since ! One of our diners wanted a smaller portion of the risotto and she was happily accommodated!
We were given a complimentary platter of Italian cookies with our coffee. They were fresh and delectable. Our server checked on us repeatedly through our meal and he was very kind and knowledgeable. We will all recommend this restaurant to everyone we know and we absolutely can’t wait to go back again!
