Remi Ratings and Reviews
From the moment we were seated to the moment we left, the service at Remi was outstanding. We had an exceptional meal. The chef makes an extremely flavorful sauce that was served for dipping bread. The food is cooked perfectly. I can't say enough about the service given to us. The waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. He helped with our wine selection which paired perfectly to our food. I have been there before and I certainly hope to be there again.
Had lunch with my 26 year daughter at Remi and thoroughly enjoyed the prix fixe lunch. Food is consistently very good and the portions reasonable. Service is good, but can be a bit slow on taking initial orders and watching for calls for the check. Otherwise, perfect.
This is a very pretty, open space with striking black and white striped banquettes. Very helpful service, served promptly as we were headed to the theater.
Black linguini with tasty squid & shrimp, for me; my friend had baby artichokes and a fish dish which made her happy.
Good spot for theater-going, very happy experience.
We went to Remi for Restaurant Week dinner. The food was terrible; there was practically no salt, and no flavor at all in the appetizer and main course. When I mentioned this to our server, he said that it is because I had ordered vegetarian food!!! The servers did not understand English and the third person who came to our table was finally able to understand that we were not satisfied with the food. The bread was also stale. And, lastly, the desserts were mediocre. I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Food was very good - went during restaurant week with my brother - ver nice ambiance - the chianti we chose was the same price as the whole meal ;-) - $180 including tip for both of us - but worth it - the mushroom risotto, eggplant parmigiana, tiramisu were excellent - pretty good prix fix menu for an upscale restaurant - the service was very attentive and friendly - we went on a Wednesday night, unexpectantly the scene became vibrant with beautiful people surrounding us - looks like it was intentional (ha!) since we arrived a few minutes before "they" had and were seated around us - must try Remi -can't beat an appetizer, entre` and desert for $35 "per pranzo in questo primo ristorante italiano!" - noi ritorniamo (we'll be back)
Great restaurant. Service very attentive from the front of the house to the wait staff. Our waiter suggested us an amazing wine, picked from the extensive list, which pair perfectly with our excellent meal. Very prepared and well trained staff. Attentive but absolutely not pushy! I will come back soon with other friends to taste some other delicacy and of course a new different wine!!
Sooooo good from start to finish....great ambiance, service & food. Pumpkin ravioli is a must! Also highly recommend the potato encrusted salmon & baked eggplant. Tiramasu & panna cotta were the perfect ending. A restaurant week highlight. This restaurant rocks!!!
We went for restaurant week menu which was nice but limited. Not being a big fish eater, I ordered roated chicken, which came on the bone and was covered in some sort of red oniony sauce. Not wonderful, but not awful. My friends enjoyed their pasta and fish meals..thoughndidnt rave. Mushroom polenta appynwas delicious, however! So,e moderately priced wines on the wine list. We slected one of their reccomendarions and it was very good.
It is a very pretty restaurant with high ceiling and some outdoor seating. It was not bery crowded on a Thursday night. Could be the food or perhaps the prices on the regular menu.
My wife and I had not been at Remi for many years. We enjoyed returning there, having been inspired by our memory of the last occasion and its proximity to our hotel. We had made our Open Table reservation before we knew about Restaurant Week and this made the evening more economical, but no less memorable. All of the food was delicious and well presented. We look forward to returning in the near future.JeffWyncote, PA
We were a little disappointed in food not terrible but not what we expected....ambiance was good and outdoor would have been nice but it was very hot that night.....Portions were a little small and Caesar salad was fair at best...service could have been better....Overall I would give it a c+
The food was very good , but as they didn't post their limited menu for Restaurant Week on line, (as many other restaurants did) I assumed I would have a choice of the whole menu. This was not a big problem for me, but the limited choices were a problem for my friend who was treating me. A little embarrassing! Then, the waiter let us sit for over 20 minutes before he came over. When I complained to him (the place was not at all crowded. We ate very early.) he was a little defensive. He tried to make up for it with a complementary glass of prosecco and a little birthday cake. Still, at a high end resto. like Remi superb service should be part of the experience.
What a charming spot for a Midtown meal! Very inviting use of space, extremely gracious staff, and scrumptious Northern Italian (Venetian) cuisine. Definitely worth a return visit - will keep Remi in mind for pre-theatre meals when attending events at City Center, Rock Center, Studio 54, etc. I'll also be back during Restaurant Week!
