we were celebrating our 16th anniversary. Very dark could not view the menu. My past was not the prepared properly and the manager agreed. Servers didn't come around to ask how we were or pour more water into our glasses. Bread sticks was stale and food had no presentation or flare. Not seasoned well. Extremely disappointing.
Wonderful food in a very pleasant atmosphere.
Elegantly beautiful, classy restaurant with impeccable service and delicious food.
Wonderful as usual
The service at Remi is outstanding and the food is very good.
Our experience was beyond exceptional.
The service was top shelf- relaxing classy atmosphere- excellent desserts
This place just keeps getting better. This was our fourth or fifth visit to this beautiful restaurant with very good service. The food just keeps getting better and was absolutely amazing on Sunday evening. The tomato sauce and goat cheese served with bread as soon as we sat down was the best thing I have ever eaten. Our appetizers of chestnut mushroom soup and veal meat balls were amazing. My wife's Pumpkin Ravioli entrée was wonderful. My chicken parmesan was excellent. Desserts of custard filled meringues with fresh fruit were beautiful and delicious. The wines were very good though they were over priced. Our waiter was very good.
Excellent service high quality food outstanding location perfect for Broadway shows
Had an excellent dinner prior to going to City Center. Food and wine were what I expected, very convenient location.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend.
The waiter was firendly and gave exce;;ent advise. Great food. Loved the experience. Thanks
Overall a decent experience. However the hostess was rude and condescending. Colored the whole experience. She actually had us move aside to check in and seat the people that came in begins us, then made us wait until she checked all her menus before she sat us.
We chose Remi primarily for its proximity to the Hilton, but were very pleased with the extensive menu and the quality of the food. Also an excellent Super Tuscan by the glass for $20 was a treat.
Always great pasta and today excellent special risotto. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. He suggest a special valpolicella wine that was super!!
Thanks again REMI for a great lunch.
Delicious Italian food. Attentive service. Enjoyable experience.
Perfection! We were meeting people for out-of-town and you know how we New Yorkers love to impress those from out-of-town. Remi is a place to do just that. The 2-story mural of Venice alone is enough. But add to that wonderful service, good wine and drink, fabulous food and you've got it all.
The emphasis is on Northern Italian cuisine especially of Venice. But there are enough familiar Italian dishes for the not-so-knowledgeable to choose and enjoy.
I absolutely fell in love with my main course--taglioli(I think I spelled it right) (thin tagliatelle) with crab meat and asparagus in a lemon sauce. As we were taught in Italy- with fingers to lips, say Divina! My companions had veal, and also ravioli with tuna, orchietta with broccoli rabe and sausage, and egg plant parmigian. Salads and spedini to start. I had something a little different: grilled sardines with raisins, pine nuts, and vidalia onions over polenta. And, sad to say, we had no room for dessert!
Tomatoes had no taste and mozzarella was hard
Carpaccio had a bad taste
Crème brûlée was too cold
Only the coke and the coffee were good
Do not go there if you are looking for Italian food
Terrible food and service .. large portions of unedible food. Service was terrible too
Great Italian food and very conveniently located
Went to Remi for a pre theater dinner. The service was excellent - they made sure we were finished with more than enough time to get to the theater. The food was also very good. The fresh pasta was excellent and we also enjoyed our salads and the polenta with mushrooms. Will go again on our next theater visit.
We had not been back in many years, the food was fine but not outstanding. Except, the fish special of Sole, which was outstanding. The service was very good.
Remi has always been one of our favorites whenever we come to NY. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and all around it’s just a fun place to go. If you are headed to a play, they always accommodate your time, or dinner can last as long as you like for it to.
Excellent meal. Will go back
We booked Remi for our anniversary dinner through open table. I did click on the anniversary button on open table but did not expect anything. After being seated, we were served Prosecco on the house to celebrate our special occasion. Superb touch which preceded an excellent dinner. Overall, a very memorable night.
I have been going here for almost 20 years. Very consistent, very nice. We will be going again. Good wines at reasonable price points.
Had a very nice Valentines Day dinner with my wife.he loved the ambiance!
Recommendation from a friend who lives in NY. We just saw Hamilton and we were on a high. Rely was the perfect conclusion to our day. The food and service were exquisite. I would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone looking for an elegant dining experience with terrific food.
One of the nicest spaces in the theatre district. Our server was excellent, and the pasta dishes were delicious.
Great restaurant near the Hilton Midtown Hotel. Food and sauces were very good and the Mediterranean fish was outstanding.
Atmosphere and decor are superior to food, which was average.
This was my first visit to Remi but I am sure I will go again. I'm not sure how I missed this pre-theater option for so long--perhaps because the streetscape is so modest, with a dark blue awning and small "Remi" printed on it. The menu is Venetian, and includes specialties of the region such as risotto and calves liver. But there is a wide range of pasta and entrees. I had spaghetti carbonara, a special that night, which was very good, if a little too rich to finish! We did not have time for dessert, but were brought a lovely plate of Italian cookies gratis. There is a full bar, with a special menu of amusing martinis.
We had great marrinis and the food was wonderful. Ambiance was upscale and intimate. Reasonably priced menu for NY.
Restaurant week dinner on a Friday night. The food was good, the portions were reasonable and the service was fine.
One of my favorite places... with delicious food. However this time service was very slow and inattentive.
Always delicious, lovely service and beautiful setting. Local or tourist, Remi is a special place for a wonderful meal.
What a lovely find right near our hotel! Fabulous Italian food and wonderful service!
Horrible service and horrible food
Food was fresh ,with excellent flavor and beautifully presented , Lively , busy restaurant with mix of locals , business people and tourists. Able to enjoy dinner conversation without having to yell. Took a friend who is an occasional vegetarian , and she was able to find options on the menu without a big fuss. Would definitely dine at Remi again !
This was my second time at Remi. I think the restaurant is beautiful and the food is amazing. The bread basket is sinful. I had the Garganelli Pasta with shrimp and zucchini. My husband had the linguini with clams. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. Look forward to going back!!
