Good food with good service and a lovely decor
My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at Remi. The waiter was very friendly and spoke broken english/italian which made ordering a challenge but also very entertaining. The rest of the wait staff was extremely attenative. Our meals came out prepared perfectly. The sauteed spinach was excellent. Very tender and full of flavor. The polenta was an absolute treat. Firm yet creamy...how did they do that? Anyway I'm so glad we went here. Try the spaghetti Remi. It was prepared al dente and had a nice spicy kick. highly recommended!
Very nice lunch.
Lovely Italian place in midtown. Food and service are excellent. It is not too crowded in the dining room, which is a nice change from many places in NYC. Menu is excellent. Service attentive.
It's a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, the staff was polite but not friendly. The food was unexceptional (the bread was dried out, no oil or butter or dip) and too expensive. No recommendation!
Great food, excellent service - a good choice for any meal!
Feel like we've zipped off to Venice for lunch!! Food is always delicious and our waiter managed to find two soft shell crabs for me -- even though they had run out!! They were worth it!!!
Poor service. Ok food. I used to enjoy going there in the ‘90’s. The memory was better than reality.
Excellent service and food. Nice relaxing quiet atmosphere.
Decent Italian but not superb for the price. 4 of us ate and 2 of us got the gnocchi dish; The sauce was delicious, but the gnocchi were smaller in size than most I have eaten before and the taste of them were just ok. I got a caesar salad that had fresh romaine but the dressing was so lightly applied, i could barely taste it. 1 of us got some pasta dish with a pasta with a wild boar ragu and that was pretty good according to him. My wife got some chicken and spinach dish and she said the spinach was delicious but the chicken was bland and lacking seasoning. We got bread/bread sticks with a red sauce to start which had great tasting sauce but the bread was so hard to chew, I gave up eating it. The Tiramisu was rated highly by my wife and I had the creme brulee which was good but not great. Not the worst meal but Ill try somewhere else next time i'm in NYC
This is one of our favorite restaurants. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Such an easy walk from our hotel to Broadway also. Such an easy walk from our hotel to Broadway also. Even if it wasn't this is where we would die at least once while we visit New York City. Even if it wasn't this is where we would dine at least once while we visit New York City. Outstanding staff and food and value. So Fun!!
I took my girlfriend on a date here and they really hooked us up!! The food was delicious, the service was great and very fast!
The ambiance at Remi is quite good I booked Remi because I had eaten there a number of times for lunch. Unfortunately the service and the food at dinner did not live up to prior experiences. We were among the first arrivals at the restaurant but had to wait 10 minutes before anyone filled our water glasses and then another 5 minutes before being presented with the menus and the inquiry for drink selections. The appetizers which were salads and sardines were for the salads lacking sufficient dressing and the sardines were not fresh. As for the main courses , stay with the menu descriptions because the kitchen at least on this evening, with a small attendance, cannot handle anything that is a variance. The pasta dishes were actually quite good as was the beverages .but one does not pay top dollar for pasta and wine. Overall average and not worthy of a return visit at least for dinner.
I love Remi!
This restaurant is stunning. The host was attentive. The food was incredible. I’ll be returning for sure. Thank you
We went to Remi before a show. We love Remi and always go at least once when we are in town.
We ordered the special chocolate cake to celebrate a birthday. It aays on the menu that it takes 18 minutes to prepare. After we waited over 20 minutes they came and told us that it wasn’t good and could we order something else. Very disappointing.
There were some aspects of the restaurant that we liked but overall the food was uneven. One of my friends had a hard time getting a glass of wine that fit the description of what she wanted. The waiter was not that helpful when she told him about the wine (twice). My branzino dish was excellent and we all enjoyed the desserts we shared.
My husband and I were in town from Florida for a quick date night, a Broadway show. We were looking for a non-touristy, romantic dinner that was close to the theater. (Gershwin) The concierge at our hotel (Sheraton) suggested Remi and it was wonderful! We arrived 15 min early. We were sat immediately. Our server was a little slow in knowing when we were ready to order our drinks and food. The other waitstaff was very attentive. The staff is used to the timing of the theatre crowd so we were finished in plenty of time. We told our server we had theatre tickets and he joked that “everyone had theatre tickets” and even “he had theatre tickets”. The food was amazing! The pasta was homemade and the pink tomato sauce was light and delicious. My husband’s gnocchi was perfection. Our appetizers were very good as well. We felt it was the local cuisine were were looking for. We are so happy we found this little gem right around the corner from our hotel.
- The waiter was attentive but not overbearing
- Food came out on time
-Food was really good (had the branzino and a pasta dish)
- Wine by the glass is really limited but the "by the bottle" list is comprehensive
My fiancé and I had a wonderful dinner at Remi. The food was amazing. The Nidi was absolutely delicious and I will remember the flavors for a long time . Also the bread with marinara sauce and goat cheese as a table starter was wonderful. Everything from the service to the space to the food including our scallop appetizer, pear tart dessert, was so perfect we wouldn’t change a thing and I would love to come back next time I’m in NYC
Perfect, all around. Our server, Andrea, ensures a very special experience. Outstanding food. Lovely ambiance
I really wanted to love Remi. The interior is lovely and the service is very good. Unfortunately the food is average.
Good service, food average, good wine, bit loud. Quite average for NY NY. You should try it and see for yourself, you might find you like it.
Everything was wonderful. All the employees were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Our waiter helped me select the perfect wine. We were heading to a show and didn’t have time for dessert, but we liked Remi so much we went back after the show for it! All the food was delicious. I highly recommend.
Remi has normally been very solid over the years but this last time the food was disappointing. I had not been there in 2-3 years.
Food was absolutely delicious. The lasagne was probably the best I’ve had.
Great service! Delicious pasta. Overall great experience!!
Pleasant ambiance, smartly dressed clientele, not overly noisy, relaxed atmosphere will dine here again.
Inattentive waitstaff. Small space for people to circulate.
This was our second time at Remi and it was outstanding. The staff is excellent and the food is awesome.
The service was excellent, very nice staff but the food was mediocre. Expected way better. Coming from Houston Texas where we have Tony's, not even close.
Loved the restaurant. Will definitely go back again and will recommend to others.
Amazing staff and food can’t wait to go again!
This is the second time we ate at Remi. Remi is very clean and beautiful. We were disappointed in the main entrée, we had one of the specials (scallops). There was not enough scallops and too much rice. The entrée in general was average. The rest of our meal was very good.
We will go to Remi again.
Great Food, quiet, great service. Is a go back!!!
Excellent meal pre theatre on Friday night. Service spectacular , menu and wine list with delectable choices and relaxing and charming ambiance. Would definitely go there again. The salad with pear and Gorgonzola was incredible as were our entrees. Definitely going back for more next time I’m in the city.
Re dinner 3/8/19. Our server seemed very solicitous, but he misunderstood or misheard what we ordered. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Loved the amuse, burrata in a tomato sauce. My husband ordered Tuna instead he received some kind of ravioli. Our waiter offered to replace it, but we had a time crunch, so he ate it. When we paid with our credit card, we were running late. The credit card wasn’t returned with the bill and was left behind. The restaurant called home. We have been playing telephone tag to have card returned. Not so easy, restaurant in NYC we live in PA!
