    Took my dad here for his birthday dinner before a show. Ambiance felt private and quiet (it was early in the evening). Ordered Caesar salad to start and duck for the main - everything was excellent. Our server made the night, absolutely attentive, knowledgeable and entertaining. Thanks Joseph! Will definitely come back and try out the weekend brunch.

    Great staff and seated quickly. Food is very good and nice variety. Atmosphere was excellent and just enough interaction with the serving staff. This was my fourth visit and I will definitely go again.

    Outstanding service, our server was kind, polite and able to provide outstanding wine recommendations. She was incredibly attentive to our needs. The overall atmosphere was amazing, we dined as a larger group and we’re given a small room with a large round table which provided us plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. I loved the quiet atmosphere. The food was incredible, we tried 3 appetizers, all of which were amazing. The halibut was cooked perfectly with a delicious creamy side. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely return.

    Normally, I am given a table that is unsatisfactory. I often feel that, as a single person who eats by himself a lot, a table that is near the kitchen doorway or that is in the middle of all the other tables is offered to me. I would rather a table that is discreet and not as if I am in the middle of a circus. Reign offered me a table that made me feel that I was just as important as the others who are in groups.

    Every year for the past ten years we have stayed at the Fairmont Royal York, for our yearly vacation (plus a four day FanExpo). This year I was only able to attend with my 24 year old son, and I wanted to treat him to a wonderful restaurant. We had never been to Reign, so it was a special treat for both of us. Wow, was I impressed with the service and the outstanding meal. He had never tasted steak tartare before, and I wanted to go to a reputable restaurant to order some for him. He loved it! He ordered the lobster linguine as his main course, I had the duck. Wow, it was amazing. We then split a baked Alaska for dessert. Sooo good. Ava was our server; she went above and beyond serving us. What a wonderful meal. Thanks for the memories ❤️

    The service was fantastic. Went for an anniversary dinner and we’re spoiled with a lovely rosé and chocolate desert. The food was fantastic. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

    We are very familiar with Reign having dined there several times over the past year. The entrees on the menu have never disappointed …the halibut, creamed leeks, capers and sea asparagus was delicious…the PEI lobster linguine was enjoyed by one of our guest. The presentation for the rhubarb dessert was unique and very tasty! There was absolutely nothing not to like!

    We would like to express how happy we are with the service given us by our assigned waiter, Mr. Jesus, an elderly gentleman, who was so gracious, elegant and knowledgeable. His recommendations were outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast meeting there yesterday. Kudos too to your front/reservations ladies.

    Royal York is the best hotel in Toronto so the restaurant REIGN as the best ambiance and service and food it’s a 5 stars place and also 5 stars prices.

    Reign is a beautiful restaurant in the beautiful Royal York Hotel. The food is fantastic and along with everything else at that hotel, the service and ambiance are unmatched. I recommend the halibut with creamed leeks!

    I had the duck breast and my husband had the lobster linguine, both were delicious. From the tasting boards, we had the chef’s selection, would definitely recommend it. Food and service was excellent. Will definitely go again.

    The friendly, knowledgeable staff at every point certainly help make Reign work. The restaurant is laid out in such a way that even the open dining area feels relatively intimate. While you're going to pay a price for even a modest meal (dinner for 4 with 1 drink each, shared appetizers, and dessert was over 450$), if you can afford such a meal even once in a while you should consider Reign. Why? Because the food is absolutely top-notch, professionally prepared cuisine. The menu is lean, without being spare, and each dish we had was wonderfully prepared. The flavour combinations were amazing.

    Excellent meal, with extremely attentive service. We both had the duck confit and it was prepared perfectly. Server made many suggestions which we followed. Dessert was memorable, followed by espresso. Overall mellow vibe with quiet music in the background.

    Went with a group of girlfriends and we had a great dinner with great service by Mohammed. He gave great suggestions and listened to our requests. Duck breast was juicy and flavorful. Favorite meal in Toronto.

    Enjoyed a pre-theatre meal. We shared a Burrata starter and a Lobster pasta and it was more than adequate for 2 light eaters. And both were artistically presented and DELICIOUS! Room was quiet and cozy for conversation and the service was incredibly attentive. Many pre-theatre dinner options are SO NOISY and rushed and the food is so-so but this experience was outstanding. We’ll be back.
