Fabulous atmosphere- food perfectly cooked! They had a beautiful wine list too.
Food was amazing, but service was extremely slow.
Breakfast was decent size and the setting was very nice. Would benefit from a bit more variety though in terms of selection.
the host at the front was extremely rude to me. i had a reservation at 9pm. I called at 8:50pm
We had such a nice night ! They really did the “extras” to make our anniversary special. Would definitely recommend and return.
Came here with my parents and sister. Great atmosphere and ambiance. The food here was delicious, we had the duck, steak, lobster and salmon dishes and all were cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also delicious.
Our server was fantastic. Very friendly and courteous. Thank you for great evening.
My dinner was undercooked noodles in soup. Soup is not pasta sauce, it doesn’t cling onto the noodles. Very odd experience, and not a very good one.
Three of four guests found food was not warm
Wonderful experience. The food was superb and the soap was just to die for. The wait staff was excellent and just a pleasure to deal with.
Menu was extremely limited, no paper menu, wine list very limited and expensive mark ups
Very comfortable environment. An improvement over the setup when it was the Epic. Great food and service.
Good food,ambiance and service
Service for breakfast was extremely slow. We ended up having to call another staff member over to take our breakfast order.
The night was great, only complaint is I ordered the tenderloin for 60 bucks and it was a tiny piece of meat, absolutely delicious but tiny!
Service was a bit sloppy, but maybe the result of Covid.
Great evening, staff. Food and ambiance, suitable for business, pleasure or leisure
Great place at Royal York. Area where we’re seated was near the the glass of the hotel hallway. We would of liked more privacy.
Wonderful server from Brazil and great fantastic food will be coming back forsure… very luxury restaurant with still reasonable prices on a higher end.
Very attentive staff good ambiance, excellent location and very good food.
Probably the most flavourful perfectly cooked tenderloin I’ve ever had paired with a Demi and mashed potatoes. Delicious
Attentive service and knowledgable wine suggestion by server. Tucked away from the noise of the hotel lobby, it is a relaxing atmosphere with a good variety of food and wine.
We had the nicest, elderly gentleman as our waiter. He was so attentive and kind.
Robert and Raul from the Reign team were outstanding.
Reign is pricey (especially the drinks) but the meal was perfectly delicious in every aspect and the service was lovely. Quiet, peaceful, unhurried ambience. For a relaxed and intimate meal as a luxurious treat, it's very, very nice.
The seating was a ridiculous. Two small round tables along a banquet for 6 people at breakfast. The server was not trained to represent the Royal York well. I think he thought he was being cheeky but proceeded to silence me every time he asked my kids something and I had the nerve to say anything. “Let them speak, Lady”. He kept telling us the fresh squeezed orange juice was ‘on me’ like he was hustling for a tip. The hostess phoned me an hour before the reservation to make sure we would be on time because they were closing 30 mins after our reservation time. I know Foodservice has taken a major hit in COVID but the experience at Reign that day was pretty sad. $285 for breakfast with no alcohol was nuts, even for a fabulous hotel.
Great food and wonderful service fro Joseph. A great family Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving dinner was very good. Appreciated the spacing between tables and attentive service. Would have liked more pecans, less crust in chocolate pecan tart.
Wonderful Experience Overall. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. They really made our celebration above and beyond. Excited to dine here again.
We had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner in a beautiful, quiet setting.
Two of us friends went for a civilized pre-Thanksgiving Saturday night dinner (before the full on family version).
Reign had a lovely 3-course Thanksgiving dinner menu and we both really enjoyed it.
The starter was squash soup or salad.
Followed by full turkey dinner: white and shredded dark meat, a bit of stuffing, whipped potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and turkey jus. Neither one of us could finish the plate as great as it was.
Dessert was cheesecake or a chocolate-pecan tart.
Dinner was delicious but there were a few (very) minor disappointments:
The wines-by-the-glass list is very small and they did not have the pinot noir I wanted.
The tart I had for dessert was so chilled I couldn't cut through the pastry with a fork or a spoon.
I don't think the service - from the check-in to the waiter seem sophisticated enough for the environment. Or else everyone seemed to be having an off night, or maybe we're all out of practice dealing with others after lockdown #3.
The ambience is subdued and (very) dark for dinner. I loved the classic rock soundtrack (played very low as background music and included Aretha Franklin and Jimi Hendrix). Everyone seemed to be enjoying their cocktails, meals and each other's company.
After dinner the Lobby Bar was hopping and there was a DJ too.
I will definitely be back, especially over the Christmas holidays.
Of course the setting is in this wonderful hotel, greeted and seated quickly and pleasantly. Of course vaccine checks done with no fuss. Seat was comfortably spaced had so safety concerns. Food and drink were top draw, nothing cheap but every aspect felt it was worth it. Very high standard.
Breakfast with my Mom and Husband 🥰
The food was delicious, lamb is my favorite, it was a bit cold inside but I loved the overall vibe.
We had an amazing experience. Our waiter was exceptional and attentive to details. We ordered the oysters as an appetizer and were not disappointed! The main courses followed and were equally delicious.
Food was phenomenal and service was outstanding. We’ll worth it!
Great food, great service. Staff went out if their way to provide extra service. Friendly and professional
Nice service, gave time to old friends catching up. Hard to find.
Nice location and great service. The food is average.
Food was not up to par, I asked for a medium steak for breakfast and I got rare. Eggs were burnt, it seems they have lost their touch since COVID
