Our first time for brunch and we were not disappointed. Started with bloody marys and peach fizzies. I had a special of eggs benedict made with crab cakes on fried green tomatoes, perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise. Wife had biscuits and gravy (awesome!!) and daughter had French toast with strawberries and cream/bacon. Everyone loved their meal. Bread pudding (made with croissants) and some cheesecake topped it off! Wonderful staff, perfect location - can't say enough...

So first off, let me preface this by saying I was actually nervous about going to this place. I use to live in between Annapolis and DC and had friends constantly dragging me to uber-expensive and for the most part completely overrated restaurants where the wait staff and fellow diners were snooty, entitled and overall just unpleasant. I have no shame in admitting I have always preferred the greasy spoon hole-in-the-walls that you'd never guess from the outside where actually hidden gems. However, I really missed seeing the Potomac and the Bay or really water of any variety when moving to Winchester.

My husband grew up on lake Frederick back when it was just his little civil war era house and what seemed like endless wilderness. I always imagine he was a bit like Calvin from "Calvin & Hobbes" growing up along all that rustic, unadulterated nature. So long story short, he thought perhaps we could go back there to dissuade the feeling of being landlocked. It's a little known fact that while the houses that cropped up and co-opted the lake are numerous, they don't have the power to full-on privatize the shoreline so you can rent a boat and bask on the water. There is also a small fishermen license fee (only about 30 some dollars annually or $5 per day) but that's not bad at all. I highly recommend this, just be aware this is a fishing lake so no motorboats etc. are permitted.

When we last went, we saw signs for 117 but I thought it was a private club for members of the lakeside community only. That wasn't the case though. This place is open to the public and everyone is really friendly. That lake view is amazing and the food was wonderful and even had great vegetarian options. I highly recommend the Pizza Margarita.

We went around 3:30 on a Saturday and since it was between lunch and dinner it wasn't crowded. It was a real pleasure and yet was thankfully casual with local farm fresh food like MoCo Potomac's Founding Farmers but with way better views.

I had made reservations for 13 and was told we would have to sit at 2 different tables. My group I knew would have a fit but I didn't tell them ahead of time! When I arrived 20 minutes early I was told that since it was available, my party was given the private room for no charge! How great was that! Robin was our server who took care of the 9 that showed ( 13 RSVPS!) in great style, without any issues at all. We had a great night and the roar of 9 older woman spared the rest of the dining area!!! We had not been together in a long time and we had much to catch up on. We are an older group, some widows, some still work, some are retired and reinvented themselves. But a great night had by all. We LOVE Regions 117 and we look forward to returning soon! Thanks again to Robin who was outstanding!

Oh my goodness! We were overwhelmed with the quality and taste of our dishes. We stopped for lunch and couldn't believe how delicious everything was. The chicken salad sandwich was the very best that I have ever had. The fish and chips weren't at all greasy and the fish was really good. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat! The service was also excellent. What a wonderful place to have a quiet lunch.

Been in this area for a couple of years. In that time we had a birthday party last year, using a private room for 17 people. Also 2 anniversaries, 3 family reunions, and dinners with friends. Always excellent food and excellent service.

This was our first visit to Regions 117 and we were excited because it had been so well recommended. Checking the menu out online before hand, we were prepared that it was pricey and had high expectations. The restaurant itself is nice but the view is lovely. We sat outside on the deck and it was really pretty. The service was attentive but not hovering and we waited a while before the waitress took our drink order. By then we were ready to place our meal order. Water came in a water bottle, which we really appreciated. My husband and I ordered Cesar salads with shrimp, my older daughter ordered kale and peach salad and my younger daughter ordered white pizza. What a disappointment! The Cesar salads were iceberg lettuce with shaved parmesan and Italian salad dressing. That was pretty shocking, given the price. The shrimp, however, was done to perfection - grilled and delicious - but more than $2 per shrimp. The kale and peach salad would have been great except that the peach was hard as a rock - in the middle of peach harvest season. The white pizza was amazing, however. The best of the lot. No alcohol and the lunch came to $110. It was absolutely not worth it. We will definitely try again, just hoping that we hit the kitchen on an off day.

We showed up not knowing that there would be music outside. Fortunately we were able to sit outside and take it in. They should do more advertising when they do have music. Our waiter, Philip, was attentive and paced the meal well. We didn’t have to wait too long for him to come back and he was knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again.

This was our fourth visit to Regions 117. We continue to be impressed. The location , setting and view is perfect for any season. We had delightful service provided by Rachel. She was knowledgeable about the food and wine, had a great sense of humor and very personable and attentive to us as well as numerous other guests. We were a party of four. Each ordered a different entrée from the menu. The visuals all were photo worthy and the taste for each fabulous, we agreed. The number 1 pick though was the Millionaire Burger..definitely with the fried egg on top. Sounds terrible I know but once you've tried it, you'll be hooked. We turned down the opportunity to have dessert this visit but in the past we had the crème brulee and bread pudding. OMGosh! Sooo Good. Next time it'll be dessert first.

We have dined twice in the past 6 months at Region's 117 and are grateful for OpenTable as we would not have known about it. Region's 117 is well worth the drive from downtown D.C. for a wonderful experience. The ambience, the wonderful staff, wonderful menu, excellent food and exceptional list of Virginia wines makes it a go to destination. The minute you walk into the building and smell the aromas of the wood-fired grill, you will enjoy the experience.

A true gem and somewhat hidden. We've been there four or five times now and have always enjoyed the dining experience. My only constructive comment would be to do something about the noise level. Maybe some baffles on the wall or sound dampeners in key places...I don't know. It's still a very, very nice place to eat, but always loud inside. If a nice day, I recommend eating outside on the patio. The best bank for the buck at Regions 117 is the Steak Salad, medium rare. Love it and you get a lot for the price.

My darling and I wanted to have a fancy date as our last little date for a while since she was soon to be heading off to college and it really exceeded expectations! Not only was the restaurant and building itself beautiful but the food, service and environment in there was just as wonderful. I definitely recommend it for a “fancy date” or even just a fantastic place for an everyday dinning.

We had the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. The only strike in the entire meal was that the ranch dressing used as a dip came from a bottle. With all the effort they go to on all the other food, make the ranch from scratch!

Cilantro Lime Skirt steak was awesome. Cooked perfectly and great taste. The grilled tomatoes that came with the steak were very delicious.

My wife had the goat cheese flatbread as her dinner. It was very good as well.
