About Reflect social dining + lounge
Food, Wine and Friends. The Perfect way to Reflect…at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.
The stunning décor has inspired an equally stunning menu. Our esteemed Chef has combined his great knowledge of fusion cooking – expertly and tastefully blending the flavours and spices of the West Coast with those of Europe and Asia. The result is an elegantly simple menu offering a cornucopia of flavour and a range of memorable dishes.
The new menu also celebrates and reflects our city’s diversity in following the European and Asian traditions of sharing plates (and with price points that are a bit easier to digest).

Reflect social dining + lounge Ratings and Reviews
I went to the Reflect lounge for Dine Out Vancouver. The food was good, and the lighting made it easy to see each other and converse. However, the music was a little too loud and the full tables are a bit closer to each other than I would expect of a nice restaurant. My biggest peeve about the restaurant was that I felt the servers were rushing us by bringing out our dishes very quickly; it was a 3 course meal -- we sat down at 6:45 pm, ordered about 10 minutes later, and had our bill brought to us around 8 pm. This type of rushing is totally inappropriate for a North American 3-course meal like this. I had not yet finished the last 2 bites of my entree and the server came and asked if he could take away the plate, so I quickly shoved the food into my mouth and then let him take the plate.
i was disappointed because I emailed and called to request a quiet seating but I think the waitress did not even see my name on the reservation list and lead us to a noisy area where a big party was going on.
the plate was very dirty and I requested for a replacement; the waitress took it away for a long time and never return until I have to call her again.
When we lived in Metrotown for 8 years, we considered Reflect our "go-to" spot for a nice dinner. Even after moving to Surrey, we still return to Reflect several times a year and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. We have hosted 3 group dinners at Reflect (2 anniversary celebrations and 1 celebration of life dinner) over the years and our guests have always been pleased with the experience. If you are looking for a place with loud music, the latest in decor or an outstanding view, look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing evening with delicious food and excellent service, give Reflect a try. Like many hotel dining rooms, Reflect tries to cater to those wanting a quick snack or those wanting a full dinner. On New Year's Eve, my partner & I shared a Caesar Salad with shrimp. I raved about the braised short rib and my partner thoroughly enjoyed his Seafood Linguini. The hostess, Cecelia, has become a friend of ours and always treats everyone like family. Alicia provided excellent, friendly service as always. We always feel like we're going home when we dine at Reflect.
The Christmas Day dinner buffet was very poorly planned. There were only 2 staff responsible for taking guests to their tables and there were easily over 100 people waiting to be seated. We had a 7:30pm reservation and waited 45 minutes just to be seated. Food was okay, buffet line ups were long. Cudos for the chocolate fountains (which was delicious) and the table servers were prompt and friendly.
Service is good. Food is worse. We were there on Christmas day and chose the second seating for dinner buffet. As we read the menu before making reservation, however, we found out it was not the same. We asked the server and he told us that lot of food were ran out at brunch time. How did the hotel not prepare enough food for the event. They knew how many bookings/person. There were 3 seatings for the whole day, they should have better arrangement on the food and not making it seemed that the third seating people were having the leftover from the first and second seating.
The service was great and the food was very good. The seafood chowder was incredibly rich and tasty. The mushrooms were thick and delicious. I must have eaten half a plate of them! Overall, the buffet choices were very good but they were sides, not dishes. The main dish (served separately) was a full entree on its own, complete with vegetables. I was delighted to learn that the beef was pasture-raised (something not mentioned on the menu or elsewhere). The only detractor was the buffet pathway, which felt congested even with only four or five people. Being the week before Christmas, there were a number of large groups, all have a raucous good time, so there wasn't much opportunity for a quiet dinner but we didn't fuss. We would definitely return.
Overall, it was a decent dining experience, but not something that we would actively seek to go again. The array of food choices at the brunch was good, but most of the food was lukewarm. They also didn't have the same items as what was advertised on their Festive Sunday brunch menu. The waiters were hit and miss. Ours was not very friendly and had to be asked to refill our glasses or to get service in general. Whereas we noticed a couple of other waiters at the other tables were friendly and on top of their diners' needs. As a matter of fact, another waiter thanked us on the way out while our waiter said nothing. It wasn't a poor dining experience, but definitely not one that was great, either.
I was surprised to be misled by the server name POL. We have 4 seniors and 2 adult and he told me the discount for 4 seniors be separated into 2 $7.39 but actually he only discount 2 seniors and only one $7.39 was given.
The other item he did not tell me that why there is service charge $33.11, for what?
On the final bill , I give 15% tips for him but if I knew there is $33.11 already included in the bill, I will not give the tips again.
Looks like a rip off to me!
Despite our reservation we waited for 8 mins before taken to our table which was in the lounge and NOT in the dining room. The tables are very small meant for drinks and not full lunch.
Our server forgot our salad order and returned 20 min later to confirm our order, thus we had to wait half an hour to be severed.
There were about 12 people and don't know why they don't use the dining room.
Basic Sunday brunch done well. Good food. Fresh ingredients. Made to order bennies and a nice selection of hot and cold. Always good seafood....prawns crab legs muscles shrimp smoked salmon and sushi. Steady refills of champagne and oj....good coffee and friendly staff.
Went here for a Birthday dinner with family. Although parking isn't great in the area the location is close to Metrotown. I had the fish, which was excellent, and shared a cheese board. Found the wine list to be quite good and the value was good for amount of food. Service was excellent and they made us feel welcome and cared for but not intrusive.
Nothing stood out incredibly about the food. While the servers were pleasant and quick I was hoping their food would Up the experience. Not the case. It's worth going to this restaurant if it's convenient for you. But if you're a foodie you'll be sorely disappointed.
I can always rely on the friendly and casual staff at Reflect social dining + lounge. In particular: Cecilia, Colin, Paul and Steve do their best to assure that everything will be alright. From the initial greeting to the fond farewell I and my guest have experienced a relaxing evening at one of my favourite places.
Generous portion of very yummy food especially the chicken risotto was delicious and very creamy. My husband's seafood pasta was excellent. He was very pleased.
Kale salad was so big that we shared one and I wasn't able to finish my dinner.
Great wine as well.
