Boneless Chicken Wings
12 Boneless wings tossed in your choice of mild, medium, hot, teriyaki or BBQ sauce, served with celery and blue cheese dressing
Grilled 10oz. USDA Choice, topped with garlic herb butter with seasonal vegetable and mashed potatoes
Broiled 6oz haddock, 4 jumbo shrimp and dry sea scallops with a lemon and white wine sauce, served over rice pilaf and fresh vegetable
Kitchen and service staff were understaffed (not uncommon in these COVID-19 days), but despite that the server was attentive and the food was really good. Decent options for kids. They have handled allergies in the past. Really liked the outdoor seating space, quiet but comfortable. Nice fire pit in the middle of it. I would highly recommend that and am likely to return. A rare hotel restaurant that I choose to go to when not staying there.
Great food and energy
The food was excellent, the bar tender had to function as both bar tender and waitress and she was great. There were other tables in the dining room and some people at the bar. I expected that we would've had to wait forever for a drink or our food but that was not the case. The food took slightly longer than probably was normal to come out, but not to the point where we were looking at each other like where is our food? And everything was delicious.

Alcoholic drinks that were order had miniscule if any alcohol in them and very expensive. Extremely disgusted!! Service was extremely slow. It started raining outside. We were inside which was about the only good thing about being at this restaurant. There was a 2 person "band" playing outside that had to come in when it started raining and they came in and set up in the bar area, very close to where we were sitting in the dining room. They were about the lousiest band we have ever heard. Annoyed us during our entire dinner time. Our food was so bland we didn't even eat 1/2 of it. Just not good at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We still tipped our server 18 to 20% but probably shouldn't have because she kept telling us the food was great and it would be right out and it came out 15 minutes later and the pasta was cold while the rest was hot. They didn't even mix so that it wasn't noticeable. WORST RESTAURANT WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO. THIS IS SPEAKING F0R ALL 6 OF US THAT WERE THERE. WILL SPREAD THE NEWS NOT TO EVER GO THERE. HORRIBLE. FIRE THE COOK FOR SURE! AND BAR TENDER!
Back again and orderd the wings again which where great! Tuesdays during the Summer they donate 50% of drink sales to various charities! Tried new entrees : Sausage Riggies and the Seafood Combination platter were both great! Service was outstanding too!

I think it is pretty cool that this restaurant works with charities. Makes me want to help any way I can. Very good beer and wine choices as well as foodies.
New menu so tried new items! The wings were good. My friend loved the mahi mahi tacos. I tried the beef tips with mushroom ravioli which excellent! Service by Jeanie at the bar was the best. Truly personable and attentive!

Hotel restaurant but pleasantly surprised with food. The stuffed mushrooms with sausage were fantastic! I orderd the strip steak which was perfectly prepared to my liking of medium rare! Came with Onion Rings and sauteed mushrooms over French bread....yum! Friend ordered the meatloaf which was wonderful too! Service was fantastic by server, Jake! He was extremely attentive and made great recommendations!

No one was at the hostess stand to greet us. We walked all over before being acknowledged. The server was pleasant and attentive. It is clear that the menu is not created using local products and appeared to be from the freezer.
The service was terrible, after waiting 50 minuets my wife and I had only been given a glass of water. We ordered soup as a starter and requested bread.... neither appeared. There were only 4 other diners. We walked out without eating. We obviously will not go back.
Quiet early dinner spot, good sized menu, value for the money, friendly employees.
Same food I had the day before for free at the Hampton Inn. No one greeted us...gave us water, coffee or silverware. Website stated serving until 2, we arrived at 12 and the "hostess" told us at 1245 if we wanted to eat we only had until 1. Never cleared our plates ...only 1 other table of 2...clearly not that busy. I will never go back for any reason....

It's the hotel restaurant in a Hilton Garden Inn. No where did we see that on a website when we were looking for a place to eat in Auburn.

I had to ask for dinner rolls even though we both ordered entrees. The rolls were hard and tasteless.
The crab dip was very disappointing. The garden pasta was not good at all. There were very few vegetables, I did not taste any garlic. I had to cover it in parmesian cheese to give it any flavor. My daughter's dish was not much better. This is the second time I was there. We weren't thrilled with the food the last time either.
I would not go back, or recommend it to anyone.

We were a group of 7 looking for dinner at 8pm (not an easy task) and we stumbled across this place on OpenTable so gave it a shot. We didn't realize it was in a Hilton Garden Inn until we arrived and were skeptical. But the menu was interesting and the food was very good - we all enjoyed what we ordered. Recommended!

The Refinery is located in the Hilton Garden Inn, and I suspect that many of the dinner guests were people staying at the hotel. There is plenty of available parking. Seating is available in two locations - the main dining room and a secluded outdoor patio. The menu options run the gamut from sandwiches to high end entrees like New York strip steak and filet mignon. My strip steak was delicious; my wife raved about her Tuscan chicken. The service was prompt and attentive. This is undoubtedly the premier dining establishment in downtown Auburn.
We enjoyed the food and sprits. Great cosmopolitan and the filet tips were luscious. The service was great and quiet on a Thursday evening.
We chose it on a very busy weekend because reservations were available. Service was attentive, food was better than expected, prices were reasonable. Decent wine selection including local options. Servers and kitchen carefully accommodated allergies, which really makes a difference. I would return.
The real reason to come here is for the steaks. Really beautiful cuts of meat perfectly prepared. But there's also some interesting apps and salads. And the light sticky bun they serve right after you sit down is a nice touch. The wine list could use a little help - limited selection, especially for pairing with such amazing steaks. A great place for a couple to spend a quiet evening together.

Really had a great meal on Tuesday. Our server was attentive, and the wine and food was wonderful.
Great lobster bisque. Friendly service. The salmon was billed as wild but I don't think so. The rissotto which came with the salmon was excellent. Steak was good. NO BREAD served with dinner. Sort of dreary environment.
