   The food was expensive and just ok, the waitress forgot about us when we asked for her to take our order she gave us attitude and ignored us. Never have had such horrible service.

   Dinner on the 2nd floor. Great ocean view. Ad tenderloin bruschetta, chioppini, sword fish with crab and chocolate crème brûlée. Everything was delicious- lots of flavor and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent too. Will definitely return!

   Third visit and was a little disappointed. Prior two visits were great. We sat at the bar and the bar tenders were nice and attentive but very busy. Food was not as good as prior visits.

   Went to the Refinery for my birthday. Went for the fine dining experience. Food was absolutely amazing. The seabass with blue crab was cooked to perfection. I was just melting in our mouths. My medium rare ribeye was tender and had the right spice taste to it. The peach dessert: it’s a must. Leave yourselves some room for it. Good wine list with prices in typical range. Great service. Very much appreciated the valet parking. No stress evening in a relaxing ambiance.

   My husband and I were really excited to dine at the Refinery. I had eaten at the Ocean side patio bar and loved it. Our server , Michael, was phenomenal, he really made the experience special. Unfortunately our lamb was bitter, there was an abundance of charcoal on all of the pieces for both of us. Also the sauce the lamb was served over was also very bitter. The couscous was cooked properly, the broccoli Raabe was cooked well but under seasoned. I don’t know if I’d go back, maybe I’ll revisit in a few months ; it’s a new restaurant and it’s not easy to launch when you just start.

   Fantastic meal. Cocktails and wine list has something for everyone. Started with the mussels, perfectly cooked, the curry sauce is to die for. Had lamb, cioppino and tuna for entree. All perfectly cooked and flavorful. Chocolate crème brûlée was a perfect finish. The staff is amazing, service was flawless. Atmosphere is perfect for everyday dining or special occasion.

   Six of us had a lovely dinner on a Sunday night. Dining room has spectacular views and beautiful decor. Had the French onion, lobster bisque, grilled oysters, beef and Burrata apps to good reviews. Main courses we tried were tuna, Cobb seafood, steak, lobster burger and lamb chops and all were happy with their choices. Service was excellent.

   Scallops in pesto with zucchini and summer squash noodles was delicious. Collette steak and creamed spinach very good too. Music and other noise was louder than we would've liked.

    Ambiance was good and service was ok. I felt like the prices were somewhat exorbitant especially the appetizers for what we got. Sea bass was almost $60. We eat out a lot and thought this was more than normal.

The blue crab crusted seabass is the most expensive item on our menu, however, we do offer many other items on our menu. We also are introducing new items on our menu and can't wait for you to try them!

    Two of us got the Wagyu and lobster burger and we were very disappointed. We had asked for medium and the burger was overcooked, dried out, and tough. Also, the wait staff was not very efficient. The main course was brought to the table before clearing our appetizer plates. We found ourselves holding the appetizer plates while they set the main course down and then took our plates.

    The Refinery is beautiful, amazing beach and ocean views, comfortable seating, attentive service, fabulous cocktails, is quiet enough that you can actually talk to the people at your table without leaning in or raising your voice. I had one of the best drinks I have ever had to start my dinner - the I’ll Have What She’s Having - if you like tequila drinks don’t miss this one. My salad was beyond delicious, but my dinner choice was underwhelming and also over cooked sadly, but these things happen. The other people at the table had more ideally prepared entrees and we all agreed the mussels with the curry broth were outstanding. I would give it another run if I lived here, but since I was just on vacation we did not have the time to do so. I’d say give it a go - it’s worth it for the setting alone.

    Went for brunch to try before we return next week for group dinner. Absolutely stunning views and decor. Our server Jen was fabulous and drinks and brunch outstanding. It was a perfect day to enjoy fine dining on the beach.

    I am giving the food a B and service an A. We ordered the cheese plate. The server (not our primary server) did not identify any of the servings on the cheese plate. It was just ok. Three of us ordered steaks. They were cooked properly but were borderline cold by the time they got to the table. They also were a bit lacking in plate appearance. Our server was Dave. He was great. I would request him again.

    Received a call to confirm reservation and the caller slyly slipped in that my reservation for three people in the upstairs restaurant would be at the bar. When I told her I wouldn't sit at the bar she informed me there wasn't a table available at the time of my reservation, 7:15, but she could get me a table at 7:30. No big deal with the delay, but her failure to upfront tell me they were planning on seating us at the bar was sneaky. Very noisy restaurant with a limited and not particularly appealing menu. We waited 20 minutes to be seated and it took that long for the bartenders to get around to serving us. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    We were seated in the First Street Pub section which was fine, but nothing special. The hostess at the door walked us to our table through a bar area where a singer was performing at full volume - we felt lucky we weren’t seated there as conversation would have been impossible. Our server in the pub, Amanda, was excellent. Two small things that could be improved upon would be 1) a menu marked to clarify GF options and 2) while the charcuterie board was loaded with tasty choices, overpowering balsamic vinegar was trickled over every item.

    The Refinery is a “go to” place for us. The food is great, the view is amazing, the versatility of the business is incredible. You can bar and listen to live music, you can eat outside on the ocean casually, or you can fine dine upstairs with beautiful ocean views. The manager Kira is a very friendly and attentive manager and Delano is a wonderful server. We will keep going back for sure.

    This is a place that I so wanted to like. It’s one of the only fine dining restaurants actually on the ocean and I hope it succeeds. The unfortunate thing is that everything was just average. The oyster appetizer was ok but had a very fishy aftertaste. The lamb entree was generous but thin, over cooked and tasteless. At these prices, the food should be more than average and the house should be operating on all cylinders. The empty room and strange layout didn’t help.

    Our second visit and it was much better than 1st time…. The salt and pepper chicken with cherry risotto was great. The ambiance was good until someone at the bar started to get VERY loud. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but makes a nice special occasion dinner.

    Lovely ocean view in the more formal restaurant. Service is impeccable. Mostly standard high end food except for the wagyu burger with lobster, which I have not seen before. My lobster bisque was delicious with a lot of lobster meat. Don't bother with fried lobster appetizer as it messed up the lobster taste for me, but sweet sauce was delicious. Lamb chops were delicious too. They handled a couple of change requests without issue.
